One UI 8.5 based May 2026 update expands for Galaxy S25 series in more countries
Samsung is now expanding the May 2026 security update for the Galaxy S25 series to more regions after first releasing it in India. Now, the latest update is also rolling out in Europe, bringing improved security and better system stability for Galaxy users.
The update is available for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in Europe. Users can identify the new software through the build version ending with CZE1. The update package is around 550MB in size.
This new firmware is based on One UI 8.5, which Samsung started rolling out earlier this month. After the One UI 8.5 global rollout, Samsung is continuing the rollout by pushing the May 2026 security patch to more countries.

May 2026 security update focuses on improving device security. Samsung says the patch fixes 39 security vulnerabilities. Google contributed fixes for 29 issues, while Samsung added patches for 10 Galaxy-specific security problems. Along with security improvements, some users may also receive updated Samsung apps with the installation.
The latest rollout also shows that Samsungβs One UI 8.5 software is stable and working properly. Unlike some previous updates that faced delays or temporary pauses, this rollout is moving forward smoothly. Samsung had tested One UI 8.5 for more than five months through its Beta Program before releasing the stable version.
The availability of the update may vary depending on the region, so not all users will receive it at the same time. Galaxy S25 users can manually check for the update by going to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install on their phones. The company will soon make this update available for all Galaxy S25 models.
