Redmi is reportedly working on the Redmi Note 17 family for the Chinese market. At present, there is no clarity on how many models will be part of the lineup, but recent reports have revealed that the first model will be announced in July, while the others may launch a bit later, possibly in August. Ahead of the expected launch, the alleged Note 17 model has seemingly appeared in the database of China’s 3C certification platform.

As seen above, an upcoming Xiaomi phone with model number 2607DRA18C has received approval from China’s 3C certification platform. According to previous reports, this device could be part of the Redmi Note 17 lineup.

The certification reveals that the device may ship with a 67W charger bearing the model number MDY-15-EQ. To recall, the Redmi Note 15 and Redmi Note 15 Pro, which launched in China last year, support 45W charging. With faster charging now expected, it appears that the 2607DRA18C could launch as the Redmi Note 17 Pro.

The device is speculated to launch in China in July. The other models in the series are likely to go official in August. However, it is advisable to wait for further reports to confirm the final marketing name of the 2607DRA18C.

Moving on to the specifications, the device is expected to feature a flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution. Under the hood, it may be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and pack a massive 9,000mAh battery. For photography, it is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera.
