According to Android Authority, an APK teardown of Samsung’s AI Core app revealed a chipset model number, MT6993. This model number belongs to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. Although the app files do not directly mention the Galaxy Tab S12 series, the discovery strongly hints that Samsung is working on a new device with this chip.

The teardown also revealed several AI-related features linked to the processor. These include AI wallpaper generation, image expansion, and generative photo editing tools.

Moreover, a feature named “Harmonization” also spotted in the app files. This feature may improve edited images by adjusting colors, lighting, and contrast to make photos look more natural. Samsung is likely focusing heavily on AI features for its next-generation tablets.

The Dimensity 9500 is also expected to deliver strong gaming performance. Reports suggest it can handle long gaming sessions while maintaining lower temperatures than some rival chips.

Samsung is in the news after a Galaxy S24 user in South Korea said their phone suddenly caught fire while they were using it. The user shared the incident online (via Reddit) and said they were simply browsing the internet when the phone started swelling very fast.

Soon after, smoke started coming out of the phone. The device then became extremely hot and exploded in the user’s hand. According to the user, the bottom part of the phone broke open during the explosion, which may have helped prevent more serious injuries.

The person suffered small burns on their hand and later went to the hospital because they breathed in smoke. The user also said the incident caused stress and trouble sleeping.

Samsung Internet Browser may soon get a small but useful visual upgrade that makes its interface look more modern and stylish. A new design change has been found inside a test version of the browser, showing that Samsung is working on improving how the bottom toolbar looks.

In version v30.0.2.30, Assemble Debug found hidden code for a new “toolbar blur effect.” This feature is not available to users yet, but it can already be enabled in testing. The blur effect gives the bottom toolbar a soft, frosted-glass look instead of a flat background. It mainly affects the toolbar where buttons like back, forward, and home are placed.

The blur effect becomes more visible when the bookmark bar is placed at the bottom of the screen. In this setup, both the bookmark bar and the toolbar appear slightly blurred, making the interface look smoother and more layered.

However, if the bookmark bar is moved to the top of the screen, the blur effect does not appear. Instead, the bar changes its color to match the website being viewed, if the site supports that feature. This helps the browser blend better with different webpages.

Even with these changes, the main toolbar will stay fixed at the bottom of the screen so users can easily reach it with their thumb.

At the moment, this feature is only found in hidden code and is not active for regular users. It means the feature is still under development. There is no official release date yet, and it may arrive in a future update if Samsung decides to enable it.
