Imported eco-friendly cars make up 86.4% of sales, with subsidies covering EVs under KRW 53 million (US$35,000).

The update is rolling out in stages to US-made Model 3 and Model Y vehicles with the feature activated.

Imported EVs made up 42.8% of South Korea’s EV market last year, with Tesla selling 60,000 vehicles.
