West Ham fans are loving who was spotted celebrating in dressing room yesterday

3 November 2025 at 20:24

West Ham have had a difficult season so far, but they returned to winning ways on Sunday with a 3-1 victory over Newcastle at the London Stadium, with goals coming from Lucas Paqueta, Sven Botman (OG) and Tomas Soucek.

West Ham had failed to win at the London Stadium this season prior to the match, but that poor streak can now be put to bed. They will now hope to kick on over the coming weeks, as they seek a significant improvement under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who replaced Graham Potter at the helm in September.

There were many reasons to smile for West Ham fans on Sunday, and another came later in the day when the club released footage of their heroes celebrating in the aftermath of the Newcastle win.

As per Hammers News, there was a lot of love from West Ham supporters after seeing Ollie Scarles involved in the dressing room celebrations after the victory over Newcastle. The 19-year-old academy graduate is popular among fans, who were disappointed when he was forced to undergo surgery in recent weeks after he fractured his collarbone in the defeat at Leeds.

Scarles had barely featured for West Ham this season prior to being recalled for the match against Brentford in October, which Nuno did despite reports claiming that he would welcome the teenager’s exit in January. He started the following week at Elland Road, but was forced off after 25 minutes following a strong tackle that ended with him fracturing his collarbone, which required surgery.

West Ham fans will hope to see Scarles back involved as soon as possible, with the current plan being for him to make a return in December.

Leeds have the option to trigger clause of striker in January

3 November 2025 at 20:01

Leeds are focused on their efforts to avoid immediate relegation from the Premier League, but there are other areas that are being looked at too, with one of those being the players currently out on loan.

During the summer, a number of Leeds players swapped Elland Road for La Liga. Junior Firpo signed for Real Betis after his contract expired, while Mateo Joseph ended up at Mallorca on a season-long loan, which is also the case for Largie Ramazani at Valencia.

Ramazani, who joined Leeds back in 2024 from another Spanish side in Almeria, has struggled for prominence at Valencia since his arrival, and on top of this, he was recently injured. And there is now a chance that he returns to Elland Road in January.

According to The Athletic (via Leeds All Over), Leeds have a recall clause in the loan agreement between themselves and Valencia, and this is able to be triggered when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Leeds are likely to make a decision on Ramazani in the coming weeks, once he returns from injury. At that point, it can be known whether he will be counted on as an important player for Valencia for the remainder of the season – if this is not the case, it would make a lot of sense for him to be recalled, so that he can either stay in Daniel Farke’s squad or be sent to another club.

Crucially, Ramazani is able to join another club in January, as he did not play for Leeds prior to be loaned out to Valencia – he was on the bench in the Premier League opener against Everton, but he was not brought on by Farke.

“I hope” – Man City player confirms he does not want to return after loan spell

3 November 2025 at 19:22

Man City parted ways did a significant amount of business during the summer transfer window, both in terms of arrivals and exits. One player that left was Manuel Akanji, who signed for Inter Milan on a season-long loan.

Since heading to the San Siro, Akanji has been an ever-present member of Christian Chivu’s side, who are currently one point off the top of the Serie A standings. He has settled into life in Italy very well, to the point that he is now hoping to remain there on a permanent basis.

Manuel Akanji intends to stay at Inter Milan permanently

Akanji, who was linked with Tottenham prior to his Inter Milan move, has revealed (via Fabrizio Romano) that he wants to remain at the Nerazzurri on the permanent basis, thus making it clear that he has no intention of returning to Man City next summer.

“We will see… I hope Inter will buy me on permanent deal. I feel very good here. I will give my best and then we will see.”

Romano has confirmed that Inter Milan are able to buy Akanji next summer via a €15m buy option. Man City would surely welcome that being triggered – although it would not be a surprise to see the Serie A giants trying to renegotiate a deal at a lower price, given that they are one of a number of Italian clubs whose financial situation is far from great.

For now, it remains to be seen how the situation with Akanji evolves. He has made a fine start to life at Inter Milan, but it is likely that no decision will be made by the club themselves until closer to the end of the season.

Newcastle given reply to transfer interest in 21-year-old star

3 November 2025 at 18:32

It has been a tough start to the season for Newcastle, but there is plenty of time for Eddie Howe to put things right – and he could do so by having further players added to his squad when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Some of Newcastle’s problems have stemmed from only having one fit striker. Nick Woltemade has impressed since his summer move from Stuttgart, but he has been solely relied upon in the number nine position, given that Yoane Wissa is yet to make his first appearance for his new club.

Wissa picked up a knee injury on international duty soon after joining Newcastle, and that has kept him out until now. Because of this, there are suggestions that another striker could be signed in January, although one target has written off his chances of a mid-season move to St James’ Park.

Newcastle given slim chance of signing Samu Aghehowa

As per Football Insider, Porto’s Samu Aghehowa is not interested in joining Newcastle in January, were they to make a move.

“Porto are going good in the Portuguese league right now. They’ll be very reluctant to sell Aghehowa and I’m sure the player himself is happy with life at Porto right now. He’ll be focusing on doing his best for him and winning his place in the Spain squad for the World Cup. So I don’t see any move happening in January.

“There’s a lot of interest in like Aghehowa, a top young player, still only 21, six-foot-four. He looks like he’s built for the Premier League. He’s got good pace, he’s a good finisher.”

Samu, who has also attracted interest from Tottenham, could be a player to watch next summer, but for now, he is likely to remain as a Porto player until the end of the season at the very least.

Former Premier League manager unlikely to take Wolves job

3 November 2025 at 18:12

Wolves on the lookout for a new manager, having taken the decision to sack Vitor Pereira after a winless start to the 2025-26 Premier League season. A number of candidates have been linked with the position over the last 24 hours, and among them is former Liverpool and Leicester head coach Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers left his post as Celtic manager last week, following on from poor domestic form that had left the defending champions eight points behind runaways leaders Hearts in the SPFL Premiership. He is not seeking his next job, although it is far from concern that it will be at Molineux.

Brendan Rodgers has concerns about being Wolves manager

As per Football Insider, Mick Brown has cast doubt on Rodgers’ willingness to take the reins at Wolves.

“Rodgers’ situation at Celtic came to a head quicker than many expected. Now, he’s got to be careful about where his next move is. Going somewhere like Wolves is a possibility, but it’s not exactly a step forward in his career.

“He’ll have a look at the situation and make a decision about, if he was to take over tomorrow, does he feel he would be able to turn things around? I’d say probably keep an eye on this, but I expect he will have concerns about the role.

“They’re winless in 10 games, stranded at the bottom of the table, the players aren’t performing and the situation has started to feel a bit toxic. So for Rodgers, it’s a huge decision and one he doesn’t want to get wrong. He won’t want a relegation on his CV, and that’s a very real possibility there. So I think there are some doubts, and it’s a decision he has to be absolutely sure about.”

It remains to be seen who ends up as Wolves’ next manager. Alongside Rodgers, there have been strong links to the likes of Gary O’Neil and Erik ten Hag.

West Ham respond to Tottenham transfer plans for Jarrod Bowen

3 November 2025 at 17:51

West Ham returned to winning ways on Sunday with an impressive 3-1 victory over Newcastle, which starts their bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League. Their chances of staying up will be significant increased if Jarrod Bowen sticks around for the entirety of the campaign, although that has not been taken for granted of late.

In recent weeks, it has been reported that Tottenham want to sign Bowen, whom they see as an ideal addition to the attacking options in Thomas Frank’s squad. However, it will not be made easy by their London rivals, who value the 28-year-old as one of their most important players.

Jarrod Bowen will not leave West Ham in January

As per TBR Football, Graeme Bailey has revealed that West Ham will not allow Bowen to leave when the transfer window re-opens in January, although they may not have as much control over the situation by the time next summer rolls around.

“West Ham sources acknowledge players could leave, but Jarrod Bowen will not be one of them – the club know they can’t even consider letting him go in January. Tottenham love Bowen, but they are not alone and whilst I don’t see him going in the New Year, come the summer – it’s going to be hard to see West Ham keeping hold of him.”

It is clear that Bowen could be the difference between West Ham staying up or being relegated, but for a club of their size, this should not be their reality. And if they continue to struggle near the bottom of the Premier League table, it would be no surprise to see the England international consider his future at the London Stadium, irrespective of his well-known allegiance to the London club.

For now, Bowen is staying at West Ham, but it will remain to be seen whether this turns out to be his final season at the club.

Chelsea respond to Man United interest in midfielder

3 November 2025 at 17:28

Man United intend to make a big-money midfielder signing in 2026, having missed out on Carlos Baleba this summer. They are still interested in the Brighton player, as well as Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson – and now, a new name has emerged in recent days.

Recently, it was reported that Man United considered a summer move for Chelsea’s Andrey Santos, and that their interest in the 21-year-old still remains. He has been a regular part of Enzo Maresca’s plans this season, although he has struggled to command a starting place more often than not, which could open the door to a future transfer.

However, Pete O’Rourke (via Football Insider) has revealed that Chelsea have no plans to let Santos leave, no less to a direct rival in Man United.

“I would be very surprised if Chelsea would even consider letting Andrey Santos go, especially to a Premier League rival in Man United. He’s a top young player, he’s very highly regarded within the corridors of power at Stamford Bridge.

“I don’t imagine Chelsea will be looking to let him leave anytime soon. He’s under a long-term contract until 2030 at Chelsea as well. So Chelsea obviously have no real plans to lose him. I don’t see Chelsea listening to any offers for him anytime soon. They turned down a huge offer from the Saudi Pro League for Andrey Santos last month.

“So I don’t think they’ll be looking to lose the young player. Obviously they’ll be hoping that he can make an impact for Enzo Maresca’s side.”

It will be interesting to see whether Santos considers a move away from Chelsea, especially as he would likely get more playing time if he were to join Man United.

Real Madrid star “considering his options” as Arsenal and Tottenham line up 2026 move

3 November 2025 at 16:59

Arsenal and Tottenham both signed attacking players in the summer, but there could be more to come in 2026. They each missed out on signing Rodrygo Goes in 2025, but it could be a different story in the future.

During the summer transfer window, Rodrygo had been expected to leave Real Madrid, given that he had fallen down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu. Arsenal wanted him, as did the likes of Tottenham, Man City and Liverpool, but in the end, he did not end up making a move, but things could now be different.

Rodrygo Goes increasingly open to Real Madrid exit

Rodrygo has continued to struggle for prominence at Real Madrid this season, and according to Graeme Bailey (via TBR Football), he is becoming increasingly open to leaving in 2026, which is good news for the still-interested Arsenal and Tottenham.

“Rodrygo’s situation has not improved this season. As we reported in the summer, Xabi Alonso always planned on making Arda Guler one of his key figures, and that has played out as expected. With teen starlet Franco Mastantuono also getting regular game time, there is little sign of how Rodrygo can find a route back into the line-up.

“I am told that Rodrygo is again considering his options, and one possibility is a switch to the Premier League, which could become a real option in January. He is certainly one to watch as we approach the New Year.”

This season is an important one for Rodrygo, who will be eyeing a starting spot for Brazil at the 2026 World Cup. He is unlikely to get that if he continues to play second fiddle to the likes of Vinicius Junior and Franco Mastantuono at Real Madrid, so there is certainly scope for him to consider leaving when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Wolves sack Vitor Pereira after making unwanted Premier League history

2 November 2025 at 16:52

Wolves have become the latest Premier League side to part ways with their manager, having taken the decision to sack Vitor Pereira. The 57-year-old, who had been in charge for 11 months, becomes the fourth manager in the league to be relieved of his duties, following Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou (both Nottingham Forest) and Graham Potter (West Ham).

It has been a miserable start to the season for Wolves, who are still yet to win a league match. Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Fulham confirmed an unwanted piece of Premier League history (via Squawka) that they became the first club to start two consecutive campaigns with 10 winless matches.

On the back of this, Wolves made the decision to sack Pereira, as confirmed via an official statement on Sunday afternoon.

“Wolves have parted company with head coach Vitor Pereira, after a winless start to the 2025/26 season.

“Upon his arrival at Molineux last December, Pereira and his coaches made an immediate impact, guiding the team to a successful second half of the Premier League campaign. However, results and performances this term have fallen below acceptable standards, and as a result a change in leadership was deemed necessary.

“All eight of Pereira’s backroom staff have also left the club.”

Under-21 head coach James Collins and under-18 head coach Richard Walker have taken charge of Wolves on an interim basis, although it is expected that a replacement will be appointed before next weekend’s match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. At that point, it will be hoped that they can finally get off the mark in terms of Premier League victories, although a more realistic target may be against Crystal Palace after the international break.

“He should just focus on…” – Newcastle star urged to reject Euro giants move

2 November 2025 at 16:34

Newcastle had a tricky start to the season, but in recent weeks, their form has taken a significant upturn – and that has coincided with the emergence of Nick Woltemade, who has made a big impact since his club-record move from Stuttgart late in the summer transfer window.

Woltemade arrived as the Alexander Isak replacement, and so far, he has hit the ground running at St James’ Park. The 23-year-old has racked up six goals in 11 appearances across all competitions, with four of those coming in the Premier League.

Nick Woltemade told to stick around at Newcastle

In recent weeks, it has been reported that Woltemade would welcome a move to Bayern Munich in the coming years, but as per Football Insider, Keith Wyness has urged him to be loyal to Newcastle.

“He’s got to be consistent. It’s only just early in the season, so he’s got to show us that he can really do it over a period of time. He needs to get 15 to 20 goals to really make that mark. And even then, I think another season on Tyneside would be more likely. So I don’t see a move away happening anytime soon.

“I think he should just focus on where he is and keep the Toon faithful happy. I like his style. He’s certainly ungainly. He’s got some lovely little flicks. We saw that lovely back heel goal. It’s great. I don’t see him going to Bayern Munich or going back to Germany in the near future. I’d say we’ve got to keep him focused on scoring 15 or 20 a season. Then he might be considered by one of the bigger German clubs.”

Woltemade may well return to Germany in the future, but for now, he is a Newcastle player, and it can be said that he looks very comfortable on Tyneside.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has say on Premier League return 5 months after Liverpool exit

2 November 2025 at 15:52

Trent Alexander-Arnold left Liverpool in the summer to sign for Real Madrid on a cut-price deal, made possible due to his expiring contract at Anfield. Much was made of that move at the time, but so far, the right-back has struggled for prominence at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Trent was in-and-out of the starting line-up in the early stages of the season, before a hamstring injury in September ruled him out for six weeks. He returned to the Real Madrid squad last weekend, but he has yet to make an appearance since being back at 100% fitness, with midfielder Federico Valverde being preferred at right-back for the time being.

This has led to speculation on Trent’s future, but as per Football Insider, Pete O’Rourke has explained that neither player nor club are considering an exit.

“I can’t see it myself. Obviously, it’s not been the ideal start for Trent Alexander-Arnold over at Real Madrid. He’s had his injury problems, he’s just recently recovered and was on the bench for El Classico.

“It does look like he will probably get more opportunities in the starting XI in the upcoming weeks with Dani Carvajal having knee surgery. Liverpool are missing him, no doubt they’re missing his creativity, but I don’t think Alexander-Arnold is thinking about leaving Real Madrid any time soon. He’ll be keeping his head down and looking to win a place in Xabi Alonso’s plans.

“I don’t think Real Madrid will be pushing him out the door just yet. And as I said, player himself won’t want to give up on this dream of his to be a success in Madrid. So yeah, I think I don’t envisage any move for Alexander-Arnold. I’m sure the player’s just as focused on breaking into that team.”

It will be interesting to see whether Trent can force his way into the Real Madrid squad over the coming weeks, but even if he cannot, his future will remain in the Spanish capital.

Insider reveals Man City talks to sign Aston Villa star in 2026

2 November 2025 at 15:16

Man City have not had a straightforward season so far, with they could end the weekend 2nd in the Premier League standings. Pep Guardiola’s side recruited well over the summer transfer window, and already, they are thinking about deals that could be done in 2026.

One area that is expected to be looked at is defence, with a new right-back being sought. They have lined up targets, one of whom could also be utilised in central defence when required.

Ex-Aston Villa CEO confirms Man City-Ezri Konsa talks

As per Football Insider, former Aston Villa CEO Keith Wyness has revealed that Ezri Konsa’s camp has held talks with Man City over a possible move next summer.

“He’s been one of the most consistent performers in the Premier League. He’s a quality player. I think Konsa would fit in well in the Man City regime right now. Villa would loathe to let him go, but I think there is a chance of this one.

“I’ve heard that there have been initial discussions, but nothing too far advanced right now. He’s certainly looking at his options, that’s what I’ve been led to believe. There is never smoke without fire, so let’s just see where it goes. Villa would be very keen to hang on to him because he is that consistent. He’s been a rock in their defence.

“Actually, it’s his centre-back partners that have been the problem for Villa, so they’ve got to work on that as well. Maybe that’s part of the equation. He wants to know what Villa’s plans are for the defence.”

Konsa has been a top performer for Aston Villa over the last couple of years, so it would be a bitter blow for them if he were to leave. On the other hand, he would be an excellent addition for Man City.

Eddie Howe wants Newcastle to sign 23-year-old talent from rivals

2 November 2025 at 15:02

Newcastle have leeway to make signings in January, due to selling Alexander Isak for a British transfer record fee during the summer. One area that could be addressed is midfield, where Eddie Howe’s depth options are not quite as good as elsewhere in his squad.

Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton have become a settled trio for Howe, but despite having the likes of Jacob Ramsey, Lewis Miley and Joe Willock, there is a feeling that another midfielder is needed at St James’ Park.

Newcastle interested in Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney

As per Football Insider, Mick Brown has revealed that Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney has emerged as a target for Newcastle, as Howe seeks to up the quality of his depth options in midfield.

“Hackney is a top player and he’s somebody I rate very highly. It’s no surprise there is interest in him, I’m told a lot of clubs have been keeping tabs on him, and it seems Newcastle are now one of those clubs.

“If Hackney was at Newcastle tomorrow, I don’t think he’d get into their midfield, because the options they’ve got in there at the moment are pretty much fixed. But he is the sort of player they would love to have who can come into the team when needed. Howe has been a bit concerned about the players they’ve got behind those three in there. He’s a very talented player with plenty of room to grow and develop, so he could go into that Newcastle squad with a view to becoming a key player in the future.

“With the three they’ve got in midfield at the moment, he would be going in there to provide depth, and whether that’s what he will be interested in, I’m not sure. But it’s definitely something that would make sense for Newcastle.”

It remains to be seen whether Newcastle make a move for Hackney, either in January or next summer. However, they could face significant competition for his signature, with Tottenham among those also in the race.

Liverpool target in talks with Euro giants as “open race” revealed

2 November 2025 at 14:00

Liverpool are looking to sign a new central defender next summer, irrespective of whether Ibrahima Konate stays or goes. Currently, they have set their sights on two key targets that are also on course to be out of contract at the end of the season: Marc Guehi and Dayot Upamecano.

Liverpool have been interested in Guehi for some time, but their desire to sign Upamecano has come about in recent months. The Bayern Munich and France star would be an excellent addition to Arne Slot’s squad, although it could be difficult for him to end up at Anfield.

As per Football Insider, Pete O’Rourke has revealed that Upamecano is in talks with Bayern over signing a new deal, but despite this, his future in Bavaria remains very uncertain.

“I’m sure (Liverpool) will be hoping that maybe they could sign a player of the calibre of Upamecano on a potential free transfer in the summer. Look, he’s under contract at the Allianz Arena until the summer and discussions over a new dealer are ongoing between Upamecano’s representatives and Bayern Munich.

“Bayern are hopeful that they can persuade the France international to stay, but he will have a lot of options and there’s no getting away from that. Right now it’s probably an open race for signature as there’ll be so many clubs ready to sign him on a free transfer if a new deal can’t be agreed. But Bayern are doing everything they can to try and persuade the Frenchman to stay.”

There is no doubt that Upamecano would be a top signing for Liverpool, but for now, there continues to be a waiting game to see whether they make a move in January.

“You cannot compare” – Arne Slot admits he has concern about one Liverpool player

2 November 2025 at 13:43

Liverpool have had a very difficult few weeks, but they managed to end their run of poor form with victory over Aston Villa on Saturday night. It was an accomplished team performance from the reigning Premier League champions, although there was focus on a number of individuals in the aftermath of the Anfield clash.

One of those was Conor Bradley, who is among those to have struggled so far this season. However, he was in better form against Aston Villa, in what was his first 90-minute appearance since the Merseyside derby in September.

Arne Slot has his say on Conor Bradley fitness issues

Bradley’s fitness has been spoken about in recent weeks, especially considering that his injury record has not been great either. Liverpool manager Arne Slot spoke on the Northern Ireland international in the aftermath of the Aston Villa victory, as he admitted that he is not used to playing so regularly – especially for 90 minutes as a time.

“The more players play together, the better it will be. You cannot compare Trent with Conor. But Conor played an outstanding game, like many others. I think the team performance is what made the difference today.

“Everyone was really fighting to get that win over the line, throwing themselves in front of shots, sprinting back when needed, being ready for a high press. So, there were a lot of positives to take – also from individual performances, like Conor’s. The challenge for him now is to make himself ready, because he’s not been used to 90 minutes a lot this season and after two days of rest the next one is coming up. So, we have to think about that as well. But for now, your question was, ‘Did he play well?’ Yes, he played well today.”

Bradley will need to be counted upon as a starter in the coming weeks, given that fellow right-back Jeremie Frimpong is expected to be out of action until December with a muscle injury.
