8 November 2025 at 00:00

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria

As spotted by LinkedIn researcher extraordinaire Timur222, an Executive Producer who worked at Free Range Games until last week (she was unfortunately just laid off, as so many game developers nowadays) has practically confirmed that The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will be getting a sequel. On her LinkedIn profile, she wrote: As Executive Producer and Studio Executive at Free Range Games, I lead large-scale creative and technical initiatives that drive the development of AAA titles across global teams. My work includes overseeing the post-production lifecycle of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria franchise (and sequel) […]

7 November 2025 at 22:00

After Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption developer Rockstar fired 30-40 employees, the studio was accused of union busting by the Independent Workers Union of Great Britain. Rockstar denied the accusations through a spokesperson and maintained that these employees had leaked information on a public forum. The latest chapter of the story saw an anonymous employee of the award-winning game development studio write a lengthy post on GTAForums, the biggest public forum dedicated to the series of best-selling open world videogames. This poster's identity was allegedly verified by a moderator at GTAForums. In the post, this employee claims that […]

Next BioShock Is Now on a Great Track to Take the Franchise to the Next Level, Says Take-Two CEO

7 November 2025 at 17:00

Cloud Chamber and 2K Games logos appear with BioShock title on a game cover.

It's been twelve and a half years since Irrational Games launched BioShock Infinite, the last installment in the immersive single player first-person shooter franchise. Franchise creator Ken Levine notoriously decided to disband the studio and form the much smaller Ghost Story Games, which is now working on Judas. Levine recently stated that Judas shares some similarities with the BioShock franchise, but it is also different in many ways. Meanwhile, Take-Two's publishing label 2K announced in late 2019 that a brand new studio called Cloud Chamber, headquartered in Novato, California, would take stewardship of the BioShock IP. Cloud Chamber had its […]

GTA VI Delay Will Help Rockstar Exceed Expectations, Says Take-Two CEO; We’ve Never Regretted a Delay

7 November 2025 at 12:35

Two GTA VI delay characters lean against a car in front of the Atlantis Hotel with palm trees silhouetted by a sunset.

A few hours ago, Rockstar Games announced the second GTA VI delay. Originally slated to launch in Fall 2025, the game was moved to May 26, 2026 on May 2, 2025. However, the studio has now requested more time to polish the game, which will launch on November 19, 2026. The news came just before Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two, announced its Q2 2026 financial results. Predictably, investors questioned Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick on the matter during the earnings call; the executive stated that this new GTA VI delay will allow Rockstar not only to surpass but also to exceed the […]

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Director Criticizes The Outer Worlds 2, Says Obsidian Hasn’t Innovated Since New Vegas

It's not often that a developer comes out to publicly criticize another's work, and yet that is precisely what Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Game Director Daniel Vávra did yesterday via his X account. The game he targeted was Obsidian's latest roleplaying game, The Outer Worlds 2, which he scored 7 out of 10. Arguably, the most scathing bit was that, even with 'Microsoft's money' (Obsidian was acquired in November 2018 by Microsoft, alongside inXile), they haven't managed to innovate in the last fifteen years following the release of Fallout: New Vegas, which Vávra ranks among his favorite games. Here's the […]

GeForce NOW to Add Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Anno 117: Pax Romana and More in November 2025

6 November 2025 at 18:00

NVIDIA GeForce NOW features games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Anno 1800 on a hexagonal graphic backdrop.

On the first GeForce NOW media blast of the month, NVIDIA has outlined the planned roadmap of PC games that will be added to the cloud gaming service throughout November 2025. Chief among them is, without a doubt, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The game developed by Treyarch Software will be available from day one via GeForce NOW. Granted, its PC specifications are definitely not too demanding, and playing a competitive first-person shooter isn't something I would advise even with the latest upgrades brought by the new RTX 5080-class servers, but having the option is always nice. Other highlights […]

World of Warcraft Game Director Denies Console Rumors: ‘We Would Just Say It’

6 November 2025 at 15:15

World of Warcraft title screen reads “MIDNIGHT” against a fantasy battle backdrop.

Throughout its 21 years on the market, World of Warcraft has often been subject to rumors that it would be ported to consoles. A couple of years ago, for the first time, franchise VP Holly Longdale admitted they had been talking to Microsoft about the possibility following the former company's acquisition of Activision Blizzard. However, World of Warcraft Game Director Ion Hazzikostas has now denied fan theories that some of the accessibility changes coming with the next expansion, Midnight, are geared toward eventually porting the MMORPG to consoles. Answering a question from Jez Corden on the Unshackled Fury podcast, Hazzikostas […]
