HyperOS 3 (Android 15) enters testing on 12 Xiaomi phones
Xiaomi has quietly begun testing HyperOS 3, based on Android 15, and a dozen devices are already running early builds. For many of them, this will also be the last major software upgrade they ever receive.

Internal Mi Community testing logs show that these models are currently being tested with Android 15-based HyperOS 3 builds:
- Redmi Note 13 5G series (Global, EEA, Turkey, China)
- POCO F5 Pro / Redmi K60 (Global + China)
- Xiaomi 13 Lite / Civi 2 (EEA)
- Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2
- Xiaomi 12T Pro / Redmi K50 Ultra
- Xiaomi 12 Pro / 12S Ultra / 12
- Redmi K60 Pro
- Xiaomi Civi 3
- Redmi Note 12T Pro
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro
Among them, the Redmi Note 13 5G appears to be closest to a public rollout with the build OS3.0.0.2.VNQMIXM already in a near-stable state.
For many of the devices on this list, XiaomiTime expects HyperOS 3 to be the final major update. After HyperOS 3:
- Only security updates may continue
- No HyperOS 3.1
- No Android 16
- No more feature additions
If a device isn’t on the testing list by now, chances are slim that it will ever receive HyperOS 3.
HyperOS 3 does bring meaningful improvements—smoother animations and improved memory handling. But for a lot of users, this update won’t just be another version bump. It’s the final chapter for phones that still have plenty of life left in their hardware.
In short, if your Xiaomi device made the cut, enjoy the upgrade while it lasts. If not, you may soon start feeling the limits of an aging software base.
