India’s Karnataka Tourism is all set to make a grand impression at SATTE 2026, where it will showcase the timeless magnificence of Hampi and other UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The event, scheduled from February 25th to 27th in New Delhi, will offer a platform for Karnataka to present its rich cultural heritage, natural wonders, and sustainable travel initiatives. Highlighting the iconic ruins of Hampi, along with other heritage gems, Karnataka aims to connect with international buyers, tour operators, and stakeholders to promote its diverse tourism offerings and strengthen partnerships in the global travel market.

Karnataka Tourism is all set to participate in the prestigious South Asia Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2026, scheduled from February 25th to 27th at the Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre) in Dwarka, New Delhi. SATTE is one of South Asia’s largest B2B travel trade events, providing an excellent platform for the state’s tourism industry to showcase its strengths, connect with international buyers, tour operators, travel agents, and key industry stakeholders, and foster collaborations that will contribute to promoting sustainable tourism. Senior officials from the Department of Tourism, along with representatives from allied tourism organizations and private stakeholders, will host focused business meetings and present Karnataka’s tourism offerings at Stall No. A112, ensuring an engaging and informative presence at the event.

The Karnataka pavilion will highlight the state’s rich tourism assets, with a primary focus on its UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which continue to draw global attention. One of the key attractions will be the historical ruins of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its magnificent Virupaksha Temple and stunning boulder-strewn landscapes of the Vijayanagara Empire. This ancient city, which flourished in the 14th century, remains one of the most visited and talked-about heritage sites in India. Visitors can marvel at the stunning ruins, including temples, palaces, and markets, which reflect the artistic brilliance of the empire.

In addition to Hampi, the Group of Monuments at Pattadakal will be featured as a prime example of Karnataka’s architectural heritage. This UNESCO World Heritage site boasts intricate temples that exemplify the artistry and innovation of the Chalukyan period. The Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2023, will also be prominently featured. This collection of stunning temples at Belur, Halebidu, and Somanathapura showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of the Hoysala dynasty, with its detailed soapstone carvings and architectural finesse, offering visitors a glimpse into the glorious past of the region.

The Karnataka pavilion will also place a strong emphasis on the state’s natural heritage, with particular attention to the UNESCO-listed Western Ghats, a biodiversity hotspot that spans across regions such as Agumbe and Kudremukh. Known for its scenic trekking trails, wildlife encounters, and lush landscapes, the Western Ghats provide a sanctuary for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Karnataka’s national parks, including Bandipur and Nagarhole, offer some of the best wildlife safari experiences in India, where visitors can spot diverse wildlife, including tigers, elephants, and various species of birds. The coastal destinations of Karnataka, such as Gokarna and Murudeshwar, will also be highlighted as popular beach destinations, where spiritual tourism meets leisure and relaxation, offering a perfect blend of serenity and adventure.

Karnataka’s growing reputation as a wellness and experiential destination will be another focal point at SATTE 2026. The state’s serene hill stations, such as Coorg and Chikkamagaluru, offer nature-centric retreats, coffee plantation stays, and Ayurveda-inspired wellness programs, attracting visitors looking for relaxation and rejuvenation amidst nature. These destinations provide the perfect environment for a restorative escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life, with breathtaking views of mist-covered hills, sprawling coffee plantations, and tranquil surroundings. Adventure tourism will also be promoted, with activities such as river rafting in Dandeli and outdoor excursions across the Western Ghats, providing an adrenaline rush for adventure seekers.

In addition to its natural and heritage tourism offerings, Karnataka will position Bengaluru as a key gateway to the state. Known as the “Silicon Valley of India,” Bengaluru is a dynamic commercial and technology hub that plays a crucial role in the state’s economy. The city is home to a thriving ecosystem of IT companies, startups, and global corporations, supported by excellent infrastructure, convention facilities, and international air connectivity through Kempegowda International Airport. Bengaluru’s unique combination of business infrastructure, cultural attractions, and cosmopolitan lifestyle makes it an ideal destination for both leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism, attracting a diverse range of tourists.

Karnataka’s vibrant cultural calendar will also be showcased at SATTE 2026, with events like Mysuru Dasara and Hampi Utsav taking center stage. These festivals reflect the state’s deep-rooted traditions and heritage, offering visitors a chance to experience the rich cultural tapestry of Karnataka. Mysuru Dasara, one of India’s most famous cultural celebrations, attracts thousands of visitors each year, with grand processions, folk performances, and a royal atmosphere. Similarly, Hampi Utsav celebrates the glorious history of the Vijayanagara Empire with cultural performances, exhibitions, and festivities, offering a captivating experience for tourists.

Through interactive exhibits, curated materials, and scheduled B2B engagements, Karnataka Tourism aims to provide detailed insights into the state’s diverse tourism circuits and product offerings. SATTE 2026 presents an excellent opportunity for Karnataka to increase its visibility among both domestic and international travel trade stakeholders, fostering valuable collaborations to position the state as a premier destination for heritage, nature, adventure, wellness, and business tourism. Visitors and industry delegates are encouraged to visit the Karnataka pavilion to explore the state’s offerings, engage in partnership discussions, and take advantage of networking opportunities to promote Karnataka as a top tourist destination.

India’s Karnataka Tourism is set to captivate audiences at SATTE 2026 by showcasing the magnificence of Hampi and other UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The event, held from February 25th to 27th in New Delhi, will highlight the state’s rich cultural heritage and sustainable travel opportunities. Karnataka aims to connect with international buyers and industry stakeholders to promote its diverse tourism offerings and foster global partnerships.
