Journalist confirms Liverpool have ‘appreciation’ for 25-year-old wing wizard

26 March 2026 at 17:23

Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is appreciated by people at Liverpool.

As Mohamed Salah comes closer to the end of his career at Liverpool, the Premier League giants are exploring opportunities in the market to replace him.

A number of players have been linked with the Merseyside club to replace Salah.

The likes of Anthony Gordon, Bradley Barcola and Michael Olise have all been mentioned in the media recently.

However, there is a new name on the Liverpool shortlist and that is PSG winger Kvaratskhelia.

Liverpool appreciate 25-year-old Georgian winger

While speaking on GiveMeSport, Jacobs said:

“Of course, there is appreciation for a player like Bradley Barcola or Desire Doue or Kvaratskhelia and several clubs like these names.

“But are any of them going to be allowed to leave PSG? At this stage, I have no indication that a sale is on the cards and Liverpool are very astute. They don’t enter usually lost causes unless they think that the players are genuinely available.”

Jacobs did admit that PSG are not looking to offload either Barcola, Doue or Kvaratskhelia, despite interest from Liverpool.

PSG compete for the biggest honours in football regularly and Kvaratskhelia is a crucial player for them.

They invested heavily in signing him from Napoli and his move has done wonders for the player, as well as the club.

Mo Salah would be difficult to replace

Salah has been the pillar of the Liverpool attack during his time at the club.

It would hardly be an overstatement to say that his attacking quality guided Liverpool to the league title last season.

However, his form has been far from impressive this season and mid-season issues with manager Arne Slot have completely changed the situation.

Salah has already announced his departure from the club and Liverpool now face a daunting task of replacing him.

Wide players hardly score as much as Salah has done during his time at Anfield. Not only his goal scoring quality but also his creativity has bailed Liverpool out of trouble on numerous occasions.

The Reds may have to look for two players to replace the Egyptian attacker.

Not Romero or Van de Ven: Liverpool explore opportunity to sign Tottenham defender

26 March 2026 at 17:04

Liverpool have reportedly initiated internal discussions regarding a blockbuster summer swoop for 19-year-old Tottenham Hotspur center-back Luka Vušković.

However, the Merseyside club is far from alone in their admiration.

With European heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona also circling the towering Croatian international, Vušković will have plenty of interest from top clubs in the summer transfer window, according to Sport Bild, as reported by Metro.

Liverpool could look to replace Ibrahima Konate

The driving force behind Liverpool’s intense interest stems from the lingering uncertainty surrounding their own defensive anchor, Ibrahima Konaté.

Real Madrid are currently scouring the market for elite defensive reinforcements, and the formidable French international has reportedly emerged as one of their primary targets.

Should Los Blancos successfully pry Konaté away from Anfield, Liverpool’s recruitment team has firmly identified Vušković as his ideal long-term successor.

Ironically, Real Madrid themselves previously explored a move for Vušković during his youth career, meaning the Spanish giants could directly or indirectly dictate the teenager’s next destination depending on their summer priorities.

Barcelona interest adds intrigue to the transfer saga

While Liverpool and Real Madrid strategize, Barcelona are quietly maneuvering behind the scenes.

What makes Barcelona a uniquely dangerous threat in this race is their established boardroom connections.

Vušković is represented by powerful super-agent Pini Zahavi, who maintains an exceptionally close working relationship with Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

Furthermore, the club is actively rolling out the red carpet, manager Hansi Flick and star striker Robert Lewandowski, another high-profile Zahavi client, have both reportedly held personal conversations with the defender to sell him on the Camp Nou project.

Three-man shortlist: Man United have targets in mind to replace Casemiro

26 March 2026 at 16:54

Manchester United have identified their midfield targets as they look for a long term replacement of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.

The midfield icon is set to leave the Premier League giants at the end of the season after announcing the news of his departure earlier this year.

Casemiro has played a crucial role in the Man United midfield in the last few seasons and with him leaving the club, the Red Devils are now targeting players of similar profile in the transfer market.

According to the Daily Mail, Man United have a three-man shortlist to replace Casemiro and that list includes: Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton and Sandro Tonali.

As per the report, United could even look to sign two new midfielders if Manuel Ugarte also leaves the club in the summer.

Man United midfield needs a rebuild

The Premier League giants have made it their priority to make new additions to the midfield.

It has been a position of concern for the Red Devils for a long time. While Casemiro has been crucial, his age and declining form was a cause of concern for the club.

On the other hand, Kobbie Mainoo is still young and developing and he is far from a finished product.

As for Ugarte, his form has been up and down during his time in Manchester and the Premier League side could look to replace him.

Having invested heavily in attacking and defensive positions in recent windows, the attention will now firmly switch to the midfield.

Anderson, Wharton and Tonali have wealth of experience in the Premier League and they have all done well for their respective teams.

No wonder top Premier League clubs have been linked with a move for them and Man United are one of them.

Whoever they target, they are expected to face intense competition from their league rivals.

Along with appointing a new permanent manager, signing a new midfielder, or two, will be high on the priority list at Old Trafford.

‘It’s going to be a big summer’ – Maguire gives warning to Man United rivals

26 March 2026 at 15:40

Manchester United are bracing for yet another monumental summer window, and veteran defender Harry Maguire has publicly acknowledged the sheer scale of the task ahead.

Speaking candidly to The Standard, the 33-year-old center-back offered a stark assessment of the club’s impending transitional period.

Man United are not only expected to sign a number of new players in key positions, they are also looking for a new permanent manager in the summer.

Although Michael Carrick has done a brilliant job as interim manager of the club, it remains to be seen whether he will be offered the job permanent or United will go for a more experienced option in the market.

Harry Maguire is confident about summer transfer business

Maguire said, as reported by Fabrizio Romano:

“It’s going to be a BIG summer. We know that for Manchester United”.

“It’s going to be a big recruitment in the management department, and I’m sure that the hierarchy will get it right.”

Following the mid-season departure of Rúben Amorim, the INEOS-led sporting department faces its most defining test to date, securing the right permanent manager to finally stabilise and elevate the football club.

All eyes will be on the movements at Old Trafford and their decision making will be watched closely.

Man United board face big test this summer

Regardless of whether the hierarchy opts to reward Carrick’s impressive interim stewardship with a full-time contract or pivot to an external candidate, the upcoming managerial appointment is just one piece of the puzzle.

For Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his executive team, the pressure is immense. The “big recruitment in the management department” that Maguire references will dictate the club’s progress for the next half-decade.

The board must ensure complete alignment between the incoming permanent manager’s tactical vision and the profile of the players targeted in the summer transfer window.

Fernandes replacement: Englishman eyed by Man United in case club captain leaves

26 March 2026 at 14:41

Manchester United could consider a move for Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White if Bruno Fernandes leaves the club in the summer, according to talkSPORT.

With the Premier League giants looking to make big changes to the squad to improve the standards at the club, a number of players at the club are facing an uncertain future.

One of them is club captain Fernandes, who was also linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last year but he stayed at the club and the decision proved to be a masterstroke for Man United.

The Portuguese midfield star is guiding the Premier League giants to qualification to the Champions League next season with his brilliant form this season.

The 31-year-old has scored eight goals and provided 16 assists in the Premier League this season.

Man United to target Gibbs-White if Fernandes leaves

Gibbs-White was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham last summer but Forest ultimately decided to keep him and offer him a new deal.

But with Forest sitting at the wrong end of the table and struggling massively, speculation has once again increased about the future of the English midfielder.

If Man United lose Fernandes in the summer transfer window, they are expected to target a move for Gibbs-White.

It is clear that the Forest star is ready to play Champions League football and that is something Man United can most likely provide to him next season.

Having failed to secure a move last summer, he would jump at the opportunity to leave Forest this summer in order to make further progress in his career.

Would he be the right replacement of the United star?

Morgan Gibbs-White in action for Nottingham Forest against Tottenham last season

His numbers aren’t as good as Fernandes but there is potential to get better.

Gibbs-White is a runner who likes making late runs in the attacking third and his finishing quality is impressive.

Fernandes is more of a creator while Gibbs-White is more of a scorer.

Man United would struggle to replace Fernandes straight away but Gibbs-White is someone who can be moulded in a player similar to what Fernandes does for the Red Devils.

It still remains to be seen how much it would cost United to sign the England international midfielder but with Forest in a strong position regarding the future of the player, expect the fee to be massively high.

Hands off: Euro giants admit Liverpool target to replace Salah is NOT for sale

26 March 2026 at 13:41

With Mohamed Salah formally announcing his departure from Liverpool at the end of the season, the Reds have desperately intensified their search for a world-class successor.

Their gaze, alongside those of Real Madrid and Manchester City, has firmly landed on Bayern Munich’s sensational winger, Michael Olise.

However, the Bavarian giants are refusing to entertain any bids, sending a definitive and unyielding message to the Premier League and La Liga heavyweights that their 24-year-old talisman is strictly not for sale.

Bayern Munich stand firm over Michael Olise

The intense speculation surrounding Olise’s future has prompted immediate public pushback from Bayern Munich’s highest-ranking officials.

Speaking to Sport Bild, Bayern’s board member for sport, Max Eberl, emphatically dismissed the rumors. “We’re not giving it a second thought,” Eberl stated.

“He’s an FC Bayern player and has all the opportunities here that top players could wish for.”

Adding to the frustration for potential suitors is the structural reality of Olise’s contract.

Eberl recently confirmed that the Frenchman’s current deal runs until the summer of 2029 and, crucially, does not contain a release clause.

This places Bayern in a position of absolute power, allowing CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen to similarly declare the player unsellable, regardless of the astronomical figures being floated in the media.

Liverpool have plans to target Olise to replace Salah

Olise has directly contributed to a staggering 38 goals in 38 matches across all competitions this season.

His devastating pace, elite playmaking vision, and clinical left foot make him the ideal stylistic replacement for Liverpool’s departing “Egyptian King.”

While Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Manchester City boast the financial muscle to test the resolve of almost any club in world football, Bayern Munich’s financial stability and historical prestige make them immune to such tactics in the transfer market.

Barring an unprecedented, record-shattering bid that completely alters the landscape, the German record champions have firmly locked the door.

Liverpool will now have to look at other options in the market to replace their outgoing attacker.

Man United target left-footed defensive gem making waves at Premier League club

26 March 2026 at 13:25

Manchester United are stepping up preparations for the summer transfer window, with defensive reinforcements emerging as a top priority.

According to Sky Sports, Man United are considering a move for Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall, following a series of strong performances that have elevated his reputation across the Premier League.

The 21-year-old is believed to be among several defensive options being evaluated, as United aim to address long-standing issues in wide defensive areas.

In addition to strengthening the back line, United are also exploring attacking reinforcements.

Lewis Hall emerges as a key target for Man United

Hall’s development at Newcastle United has drawn increasing attention from top clubs, including Man United.

The youngster has shown consistency this season and his performance against Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal recently has attracted attention from top clubs.

The young full-back has established himself as one of the most promising defensive talents in the league, impressing with his ability to combine defensive discipline with attacking contributions.

The Newcastle United star could be targeted by Man United as the long term replacement of current left-back Luke Shaw.

Hall is reportedly being viewed as an alternative to Eintracht Frankfurt defender Nathaniel Brown, another young full-back who has impressed in the Bundesliga.

Brown’s performances have earned praise for his athleticism and defensive reliability, making him a viable option should negotiations for Hall prove difficult.

Attacking reinforcements are also on the agenda

While defensive improvements remain a priority, Man United are equally focused on enhancing their attacking options. Reports suggest that RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, aged 19, is among the young talents under consideration.

Another name reportedly under evaluation is Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye, who has gained recognition for his creativity and work rate in attacking areas.

Man United’s strategy appears to focus on a balance between youth potential and proven Premier League experience.

Strengthening the defensive unit and adding attacking depth are seen as essential steps toward improving overall consistency.

Man United player wanted in free transfer as summer exit becomes inevitable

26 March 2026 at 12:42

According to reports from Turkish sports outlet SporX, Super Lig heavyweights Besiktas are actively preparing to open formal discussions with the Red Devils over the signing of Altay Bayindir.

With the impending summer transfer window rapidly approaching, the Istanbul club is looking to capitalise on the 27-year-old’s status at Old Trafford to bring him back to his homeland.

Bayındır’s limited playing time at Old Trafford has fueled speculation about his future, and the coming months could prove decisive for both player and club.

Limited opportunities at Man United

Bayındır joined Man United from Fenerbahçe in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of approximately £4.3 million, arriving with a strong reputation as one of Turkey’s most reliable goalkeepers.

During his time in Istanbul, he established himself as a consistent performer, earning recognition for his shot-stopping ability, reflexes, and leadership qualities.

However, his spell in England has not unfolded as consistently as hoped. Now in his third season at the club, Bayındır has made just 17 appearances across all competitions, a figure that shows the fierce competition within United’s goalkeeping department.

At the beginning of the current campaign, he briefly stepped into the starting role, but recent performances from Senne Lammens have seen the Belgian goalkeeper establish himself as the preferred option.

Besiktas renew interest after winter attempt

Besiktas previously attempted to sign Bayındır during the winter transfer window, but negotiations failed to produce an agreement.

According to Turkish media sources, the club’s renewed interest reflects both the player’s experience and their desire to strengthen the goalkeeping department ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Head coach Sergen Yalçın is believed to view Bayındır as a strong candidate capable of providing stability between the posts.

His familiarity with Turkish football, combined with experience gained in England, makes him an appealing option for a team aiming to compete domestically and in European competitions.

Reports suggest that Beşiktaş could initially explore the possibility of signing Bayındır on a free transfer, though this scenario may depend on contractual negotiations and Man United’s willingness to release the player.

Report: Man United enter race for centre-back from Premier League rivals

Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Cristian Romero, according to Marca.

United are now actively monitoring the Tottenham centre-back, who has already been linked with a potential move to Atlético Madrid.

Despite recently signing a long-term contract extension at Spurs, Romero’s future remains a topic of speculation due to ongoing interest from major European clubs.

With Tottenham navigating a challenging season and several elite teams seeking defensive reinforcements, Romero’s situation has become increasingly significant in the transfer landscape.

Man United plan to shake their defense

Man United’s interest in Romero reflects their growing focus on strengthening the defensive core ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Over recent seasons, inconsistency at the back has been a recurring concern, prompting recruitment officials to prioritise experienced centre-backs capable of leading the defensive line.

Romero, now 27, fits the profile United are believed to be targeting.

United’s entry into the race could significantly complicate Atlético Madrid’s pursuit. The Spanish club had previously explored the possibility of signing Romero last summer but were unable to finalise an agreement.

Their renewed interest suggests that manager Diego Simeone remains keen on adding a defender who embodies his team’s trademark resilience and defensive intensity.

Tottenham contract position and release clause details

Tottenham strengthened their position by securing Romero on a long-term contract extension that runs until June 2029, a move widely interpreted as an effort to deter potential suitors.

However, reports suggest the deal includes a special release clause estimated at around £52 million, applicable specifically to Spanish giants Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid.

Outside of that clause, Tottenham are believed to value Romero closer to £61 million, highlighting the premium attached to one of their most important players.

Financial considerations will likely play a decisive role in any potential transfer. Tottenham’s willingness to negotiate could depend on both the size of incoming offers and the club’s ability to secure a suitable replacement.

Atlético Madrid remain strongly interested in securing Romero’s signature, viewing him as an ideal addition to their defensive structure. Under Simeone, Atlético have historically relied on disciplined defenders capable of thriving in physically demanding systems.

Not for sale: Newcastle United issue warning to rivals over interest in key player

26 March 2026 at 10:59

Newcastle United have drawn a definitive line in the sand regarding the future of their highly-rated full-back, Lewis Hall.

Despite mounting interest from a trio of Premier League heavyweights, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United, the Magpies are resolute in their stance: the 21-year-old is simply not for sale.

Eddie Howe’s side has absolutely no intention of entertaining summer offers for the defender, setting up a potential boardroom standoff as the transfer window approaches, according to TEAMtalk.

Newcastle United stance and a £70m valuation

Since making his initial loan from Chelsea permanent in 2024 for an initial fee of £28 million, Hall has steadily evolved into a cornerstone of Newcastle’s long-term project.

The club’s hierarchy views the lifelong Magpies supporter as an untouchable asset.

Because Hall’s current contract ties him to St James’ Park until the summer of 2029, Newcastle hold all the leverage and face absolutely zero pressure to cash in.

The player’s rapidly growing reputation, combined with his tactical versatility and homegrown status, has inflated his market valuation to an estimated £65-£70 million.

However, for the Newcastle executives, that staggering figure represents a declaration of his importance to the squad rather than an invitation for rivals to negotiate.

Premier League elites are circling

Lewis Hall of Newcastle United

The intense scouting from Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United is hardly a surprise given Hall’s exceptional trajectory this season.

As the demands placed on modern full-backs continue to evolve, Hall has emerged as one of the most complete left-sided defenders in English football.

Capable of tucking into the midfield to dictate play or aggressively overlapping down the flank, Hall fits the complex tactical blueprints of possession-heavy sides seamlessly.

His recent standout performances in the Champions League, most notably an exceptional defensive display where he largely shut down Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, have proven he can handle the immense pressure of the highest tactical stages.

Newcastle United’s message to their Premier League rivals is crystal clear: they are building their future around Hall, not selling him to fund it.

Two clubs prepare for summer showdown to convince Salah as Liverpool exit edges closer

26 March 2026 at 10:41

Interest in Mohamed Salah has intensified dramatically following confirmation that the Liverpool forward will leave the club at the end of the 2025-26 season.

Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad have revived their pursuit of the Egyptian superstar, placing him firmly at the center of their summer recruitment strategy, according to ESPN.

However, they are not alone in the race. Fellow Saudi club Al Qadsiah are also believed to possess the financial strength and ambition required to compete for Salah’s signature, setting the stage for what could become one of the most high-profile transfer battles of the upcoming window.

With Salah becoming a free agent, his next move is expected to attract global attention, not only because of his footballing pedigree but also due to his immense commercial appeal.

Al Ittihad revive long-term interest

Al Ittihad’s renewed efforts to sign Salah reflect a long-standing interest that dates back several transfer windows.

The Saudi club had previously attempted to bring the Egyptian forward to the Middle East, reportedly tabling lucrative offers in earlier seasons.

With Salah now confirmed to be leaving Liverpool, the opportunity to secure his services without paying a transfer fee significantly strengthens Al Ittihad’s position.

Sources close to Saudi football suggest that Salah is viewed as a transformative signing capable of elevating both sporting standards and international visibility.

His reputation as one of the most prolific forwards of the modern era makes him an ideal figurehead for the league’s continued growth.

Over recent seasons, the Saudi Pro League has invested heavily in attracting elite-level talent, and securing Salah would represent another milestone in its ambitious expansion strategy.

While Al Ittihad remain strong favorites, Al Qadsiah are also emerging as credible challengers in the race.

They are among the few clubs in Saudi Arabia with the financial backing required to compete at this level.

Their interest signals an increasingly competitive transfer environment within the Saudi Pro League, where clubs are eager to secure marquee signings capable of enhancing their global profile.

With both clubs capable of offering substantial contracts, negotiations may ultimately depend on additional factors such as sporting ambitions, team competitiveness, and lifestyle considerations.

High-profile free agents often attract competing offers from across different leagues, and Salah’s global stature ensures that his situation will remain closely monitored.

Two possible destinations: Mo Salah attracting interest as Liverpool exit edges closer

25 March 2026 at 16:55

With confirmation that Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool at the end of the 2025–26 season, attention has quickly shifted to where the Egyptian superstar will continue his career.

Both the Saudi Pro League and Major League Soccer (MLS) are actively exploring opportunities to sign the 33-year-old forward, according to talkSPORT.

Salah has reached an agreement with Liverpool allowing him to depart as a free agent, marking the conclusion of one of the most successful individual careers in the club’s modern era.

The prospect of signing Salah has sparked intense interest globally, with leagues eager to secure a player whose reputation extends far beyond the football pitch.

Free transfer opens door to global interest

Salah’s departure on a free transfer dramatically increases his appeal to potential suitors. Without the burden of a transfer fee, clubs can focus their financial resources on offering competitive contracts, performance incentives, and commercial opportunities.

Liverpool’s decision to allow Salah to leave without a transfer fee shows a mutual understanding between player and club.

Reports suggest that both parties opted for an amicable resolution, allowing Salah to conclude his Anfield chapter with respect and appreciation for his immense contributions.

Over nearly a decade, he has become one of the club’s most decorated players, consistently delivering goals, assists, and match-winning performances.

Among the most aggressive suitors for Salah’s signature is the Saudi Pro League, which has been linked with the Egyptian forward for several seasons.

Saudi clubs have previously attempted to secure Salah’s services with lucrative offers, viewing him as a marquee signing capable of enhancing the league’s global visibility.

The commercial potential of signing Salah is believed to be as significant as his footballing contribution, making him one of the most sought-after players in the region.

While Saudi Arabia remains a prominent option, Major League Soccer has also shown interest in attracting Salah to North America.

MLS clubs have steadily increased their focus on signing internationally recognised players, aiming to strengthen the league’s competitive profile and commercial reach.

Industry experts note that MLS offers a different type of appeal compared to Saudi Arabia. The opportunity to play in the United States provides exposure to new markets and a lifestyle that appeals to players seeking fresh experiences beyond European football.

Sandro Tonali makes up his mind after increasing interest from Man City and Man United

25 March 2026 at 16:50

According to recent reports from talkSPORT, Manchester City and Manchester United are set to go head-to-head for the signature of Newcastle United’s midfield maestro, Sandro Tonali.

However, the 25-year-old Italian international reportedly has a different destination in mind, harboring a strong desire to return to his homeland and play in Serie A.

With Newcastle facing a turbulent summer rebuild following a bitterly disappointing domestic and European campaign, Tonali faces uncertain future at St. James’ Park with top Premier League clubs looking to make a move for him.

Man City and Man United to battle for Sandro Tonali

Both Manchester clubs are actively in the market for elite midfield reinforcements ahead of the 2026/27 season.

For Man United, the impending departure of veteran Casemiro and the ongoing search for a permanent manager have accelerated the need for a dynamic, deep-lying playmaker.

Tonali’s relentless work rate, exceptional passing range, and proven Premier League pedigree make him an ideal candidate to anchor their midfield rebuild alongside emerging academy talents.

On the other side of the city, Pep Guardiola’s Man City are looking to refresh their central options to maintain their dominance.

A fierce bidding war between the two Manchester heavyweights could provide Newcastle with a massive financial windfall, which they desperately need to balance their books and fund their own squad overhaul under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Midfielder wants to return to Serie A

Despite the prestige and immense financial packages that either Manchester club could offer, Tonali’s heart appears firmly set on a return to Italy.

Having initially joined Newcastle from his boyhood club AC Milan for a reported €70 million in 2023, the midfielder has endured a rollercoaster spell on Tyneside.

While the Newcastle faithful impressively stood by him through his lengthy 10-month betting ban, recent reports suggest his representatives have been quietly exploring avenues to bring him back to Serie A since January.

The primary hurdle, however, is pure economics. Very few clubs in Italy, including giants like Juventus or a returning AC Milan, can afford Newcastle’s steep asking price to recoup their investment, nor can they easily match the lucrative wages Tonali currently earns in England.

This financial reality could ultimately force the Italian to compromise, making a domestic move to Manchester his most viable exit strategy from St James’ Park.

Life after Egyptian King: Three candidates to replace Mo Salah at Liverpool

25 March 2026 at 15:49

The day Liverpool fans have dreaded is finally on the horizon. With Mohamed Salah officially announcing his departure on a free transfer at the end of the current season, a monumental era at Anfield is drawing to a close.

Replacing the “Egyptian King” is arguably the most daunting task in world football, you cannot simply buy another Salah.

Instead, Liverpool’s recruitment team must find a player capable of shouldering the creative and goal-scoring burden while fitting into the high-intensity tactical framework required on Merseyside.

Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise, Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon, and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola have all been linked with a move to Anfield in recent times.

We take a closer look at the possibility of them joining Liverpool.

Michael Olise (Bayern Munich)

If Liverpool is looking for the closest stylistic profile to Salah, Michael Olise is the standout candidate.

As a left-footed right winger, Olise possesses an elite ability to cut inside, thread needle-like passes, and unleash devastating shots.

Since his move to Bayern Munich, he has proven he can deliver on the biggest stages, combining Premier League-forged physicality with top-tier continental experience.

Prying him away from Bayern Munich would require a gargantuan transfer fee, testing the upper limits of Liverpool’s financial structure.

He would be the ideal replacement but among the three players we are focusing on, he would be the most difficult to get.

Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United)

While traditionally operating on the left flank, Anthony Gordon has transformed into one of the Premier League’s most relentless and productive wide attackers.

Gordon’s work rate is off the charts. He is a pressing monster, which makes him an absolute dream for Liverpool’s tactical setup.

He is fully adapted to the pace and brutality of the English top flight, meaning there would be zero transitional downtime. His directness, blistering pace, and homegrown status add immense value.

He is right-footed, meaning his arrival might require a tactical reshuffle, perhaps moving another attacker to the right or altering how Liverpool’s full-backs overlap.

For a club looking to invest in a generational ceiling, PSG’s Bradley Barcola represents a massive, statement-making target.

Barcola is a 1v1 specialist with terrifying acceleration. He has firmly established himself as a focal point in PSG’s post-Mbappé era, showcasing a fearless mentality in the Champions League.

At just 23 years old, his potential for growth under top-level coaching is frightening.

Dealing with PSG is notoriously difficult. The French champions are under no financial pressure to sell their brightest young domestic star, meaning a transfer would require a near-world-record fee and the player heavily pushing for the move.

The Verdict: Who is the Most Realistic Signing?

When weighing tactics, finances, and market availability, Anthony Gordon emerges as the most realistic signing for Liverpool.

While Olise is the perfect stylistic fit, Bayern Munich rarely sell elite players in their prime unless forced. Similarly, PSG holds all the leverage with Barcola.

Newcastle United, however, remain under the constant, looming pressure of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Despite the Magpies’ reluctance to lose a fan favorite, a massive, front-loaded offer from Liverpool could force Newcastle’s hand to balance their books.

Furthermore, Gordon’s documented boyhood affinity for Liverpool adds a personal pull that could smoothly facilitate personal terms.

Exodus imminent: Tottenham open to selling leader as La Liga interest increases

25 March 2026 at 15:34

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly willing to part ways with club captain Cristian Romero this summer, according to Football Insider.

Amid a disastrous domestic campaign that has left the North London club fighting a desperate battle for Premier League survival, the defensive stalwart is attracting serious interest from Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid.

The potential departure of the World Cup-winning Argentine signifies a massive shift for Spurs, who may be forced into a drastic squad overhaul if the unthinkable reality of relegation comes to pass.

Relegation threat and financial realities

Currently languishing just one point above the Premier League relegation zone, Tottenham’s season has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Caretaker manager Igor Tudor is battling to keep the squad focused, but the financial implications of potentially dropping into the Championship are looming large. If Spurs fail to beat the drop, a mass player exodus is inevitable to balance the books.

However, even if they manage to secure survival, the club’s hierarchy appears increasingly open to cashing in on Romero.

Despite the defender signing a new contract that ties him to the club until 2029, his high market value, estimated to be upwards of £60 million, could provide vital funds for a comprehensive summer rebuild.

Furthermore, Romero’s recent disciplinary record and public frustrations regarding the club’s lack of ambition in the transfer market have reportedly strained his relationship with the board.

Atletico Madrid connection and Romero’s stance

The links to Atletico Madrid are far from a coincidence. Spurs were recently eliminated from the Champions League round of 16 by Simeone’s side, despite a spirited 3-2 second-leg victory in London.

During the buildup to that tie, the Atletico boss publicly praised Romero, expressing his deep admiration for his compatriot’s aggressive, front-foot playing style and defensive grit.

When questioned by Spanish media about a potential summer switch following the European exit, the 27-year-old Spurs skipper offered a notably cryptic response.

While he insisted his immediate focus remains entirely on keeping Tottenham in the English top flight, his pointed “we’ll see what happens later” remark has only fueled the transfer rumours.

Report: 43-year-old Spaniard still an option for Man United manager job

25 March 2026 at 12:57

Manchester United have firmly retained their interest in Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola, according to the Mirror.

With the 43-year-old Spaniard’s contract at the Vitality Stadium set to definitively expire at the end of June, his long-term future remains highly uncertain, making him one of the most coveted tactical minds currently operating in the Premier League.

Iraola will attract interest from a number of clubs in England due to his contract situation and Man United will be one of them, keeping a close eye on his situation.

Iraola has been impressive at Bournemouth

Since arriving on the South Coast in 2023, Iraola has completely transformed Bournemouth into a formidable, high-intensity outfit.

Having comfortably secured mid-table stability and pushed the Cherries toward the top half of the table in consecutive campaigns, his stock has skyrocketed.

Bournemouth’s hierarchy, led by owner Bill Foley, is reportedly working tirelessly behind the scenes to convince him to sign a contract extension.

However, Iraola has remained remarkably tight-lipped about his next steps.

While he recently insisted to the press that he maintains a fantastic relationship with the club’s executives, he continues to hold off on committing to a new deal, keeping his options wide open.

Man United are carefully assessing their options

Iraola represents an ideal candidate to spearhead the INEOS-led sporting project.

Following the departure of Rúben Amorim in January, interim manager Michael Carrick has successfully steadied the ship at Old Trafford, giving executives Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada the luxury of conducting a patient, thorough search for a permanent successor.

However, their measured approach carries a significant risk. Iraola’s proven ability to implement a modern, aggressive pressing system fits precisely the profile United desire, but hesitating to make formal contact could easily cost them his signature.

United are far from the only club actively monitoring the Spaniard’s contract situation. Additional reports indicate that Crystal Palace have emerged as a shock contender, preparing a highly ambitious move to bring Iraola to Selhurst Park as a replacement for the departing Oliver Glasner.

Furthermore, a deeply sentimental pull exists in Spain, Athletic Club are actively searching for a successor to Ernesto Valverde.

Given that Iraola made over 500 appearances for the Basque club during his playing days, the emotional lure of a return to San Mamés is a massive factor that United will have to combat.

Shaw replacement: Man United add attacking full-back to transfer shortlist

25 March 2026 at 12:29

Manchester United have added Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson to their transfer shortlist, according to Football Insider.

The USMNT left-back has been linked with top clubs in the past, including Liverpool and Manchester City, and now Man United have joined the race to sign him.

Although the Red Devils already have players like Patrick Dorgu and Tyrell Malacia who are similar to Robinson, they are still targeting a move for the Fulham left-back.

Dorgu is used in a more advanced role where he has performed well this season while Malacia’s long term future at the club is highly uncertain.

That is where Robinson comes in who is going to be a natural replacement of Shaw and looking at his playing style, he is someone who can help the Red Devils on both ends of the pitch.

Man United could face competition from Liverpool

The Merseyside club targeted a move for Robinson last summer before eventually signing Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

However, with Andy Robertson coming towards the end of his career at Anfield, they may revive interest in Robinson to provide competition for Kerkez.

Robinson is known not only for his defensive work rate but also for his attacking runs and crosses in the box, something both Man United and Liverpool can use well considering how they play.

Even though Robinson is happy at Fulham, he would jump at the opportunity to play for a top club like Man United or Liverpool if given the opportunity.

The Premier League giants will have several issues to address in the transfer market this year.

Man United are expected to target midfielders this year due to the impending departure of Casemiro.

An attacking midfielder could also be on their agenda to add more depth and quality to the squad.

With the likes of Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford soon to be leaving the club permanently, a wide attacker might also catch their attention.

Shaw has been at the club for around a decade and United now feel that it is the right time to replace him in the squad with a more younger and Premier League experienced option.

Champions League winning midfielder prefers Arsenal move over other options

Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is ready to join Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to Calciomercato.

The experienced German midfielder will be high in demand when the transfer window opens this summer.

Goretzka is about to become a free agent at the end of the season and speculation has increased over his next move.

Top clubs are targeting a move for him and Arsenal, along with AC Milan, are working to sign him as a bargain option in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Having performed well for Bayern Munich and Germany, his stocks are high and he is seen as an option to strengthen the midfield by top European clubs.

Leon Goretzka is ready for a new challenge

The German midfielder is expected to announce his next move before the World Cup in the summer, where he is expected to feature for Julian Nagelsmann’s team.

Having won several Bundesliga titles and a Champions League during his team with the German giants, Goretzka is someone who is widely recognised for his playing style and his experience in the game.

He is free to negotiate with teams over his next move as he is about to become a free agent.

AC Milan are pushing hard to sign him as part of their midfield rebuild but the midfielder has reportedly made up his mind to test himself in the Premier League and he feels Arsenal provide the ideal opportunity for his next move.

Should Arsenal make a move for the Bayern midfielder?

The Gunners are known for adding young talent to the team under the leadership of Mikel Arteta and if they go on to sign someone like Goretzka, it will be a shift from their usual transfer strategy.

Although they have the assurance of Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice in the midfield, Arteta feels signing an experienced player who can also provide depth to the squad is crucial.

There is no doubt about the pedigree of Goretzka but it remains to be seen if he can cope with the physical demands of the Premier League.

Bundesliga exports have often struggled in the Premier League, as seen from recent signings like Florian Wirtz at Liverpool or Jamie Gittens at Chelsea but since Arteta is known for his clever moves in the market, it appears like he has a plan for the German.

Man United ready to break the bank for attacking midfielder, willing to pay €100m

25 March 2026 at 11:28

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to make a significant financial commitment in pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Fermín López, as the club continues to reshape its attacking options ahead of the summer transfer window.

Reports originating from Spanish media and relayed through outlets such as Football España suggest that United are willing to spend up to £86.5 million (€100 million) to secure the services of the 22-year-old playmaker.

However, despite the strong interest and potential financial appeal, López is believed to be reluctant to leave Barcelona, where he has established himself as an increasingly important figure.

The young Spaniard has scored 12 goals and provided 16 assists for the Spanish giants this season in all competitions.

Man United set for ambitious transfer strategy

Over recent seasons, United have focused on adding creativity and tactical versatility to their squad, recognising the increasing importance of dynamic midfielders capable of influencing matches in both attacking and transitional phases.

The reported fee of €100 million would represent one of the largest investments in a young attacking midfielder, signaling United’s willingness to compete financially with Europe’s elite clubs.

Such an offer also demonstrates how highly the player is rated by scouting networks across Europe.

To understand United’s willingness to break the bank, one only needs to look at López’s spectacular output this season.

Under the guidance of manager Hansi Flick, the 22-year-old has rapidly evolved into one of the most productive midfielders in European football.

Just weeks ago in January 2026, Barcelona rewarded his spectacular form with a new five-year contract extension running until 2031, complete with a massive salary increase and a symbolic €1 billion release clause.

While Man United are reportedly willing to offer a massive financial incentive, including a contract that would drastically multiply the youngster’s current wages, the allure of Old Trafford is not enough to break López’s bond with Barcelona.

Having already rejected aggressive advances from Chelsea last summer, the midfielder remains deeply committed to succeeding at the Spotify Camp Nou.

‘Liverpool will go for’ – Romano issues update on Mo Salah replacement at Anfield

25 March 2026 at 11:23

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is set to leave the club at the end of the season, bringing an end to an illustrious career at the Premier League.

If Jurgen Klopp’s exit hit Liverpool fans hard, Salah’s exit will hit even harder.

Naturally, the focus is now shifting on Liverpool transfer targets in the market and who they will consider to bring in as Salah’s replacement.

Fabrizio Romano issues Salah replacement update

In recent weeks, the Reds have been linked with number of wingers in the market. Some of them look attainable while some of them are dream targets.

The likes of Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United and Michael Olise of Bayern Munich have been mentioned in the media.

However, Romano has come up with the latest update on possible Salah replacements.

He said on his Youtube channel:

“Liverpool will go for wingers in the summer, could be one, could be two, depends on the opportunities, but they will go for wingers. Liverpool will be smart, of course, Champions League football or not will be important for the investment, so we have to understand.

“But for sure Liverpool are targeting wingers. Expect them to be active. There are several players they are monitoring, in terms of names I will tell you more soon. I think today it’s correct we dedicate this update and this video to Mohamed Salah, this moment to Mohamed Salah, because he’s a legend of the game.

“But the impact of this is going in two directions: Liverpool will buy one or two wingers in the transfer window and they will be really active, and Mohamed Salah now ready to assess proposals and try something different.”

Liverpool will find it difficult to replace Salah

Salah is arguably the greatest signing in the club’s history, considering how much the club paid for him and the impact he made at the club.

Finding his replacement in the market will not be easy by any means. How do you just go out and suddenly replace a player like Salah who scores goals, provides assists and creates the impact that he usually does?

It is going to be another busy summer for Liverpool at the end of the season. Just like last summer when players like Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekititke and others arrived at the club, this summer promises to be similar.

They could go out in the market to replace Arne Slot, say goodbye to another legend in Andy Robertson, lose Ibrahima Konate as a free agent.

Liverpool fans will be looking forward to an exciting summer transfer window.

Romano confirms Tottenham internally discussing appointing Premier League boss

25 March 2026 at 10:36

Tottenham Hotspur are continuing their internal evaluation of managerial options as uncertainty surrounds the club’s leadership heading into the summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Spurs officials are carefully reviewing potential candidates while monitoring results and long-term planning objectives.

Among the names under serious consideration, Roberto De Zerbi has emerged as a leading candidate for a possible appointment from June, while Marco Silva is also being discussed within the club’s decision-making structure.

The ongoing assessment reflects Tottenham’s desire to stabilise their direction after a turbulent period that has seen fluctuating performances and mounting pressure on the coaching staff.

With crucial months ahead, the club appears determined to make a decision that matches with both immediate needs and long-term ambitions.

Internal review signals strategic shift at Tottenham

Rather than rushing into a stopgap appointment, the board appears willing to bide its time to secure the right tactical mind to lead the next era at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

At the top of aTottenham’s wishlist sits De Zerbi. The Italian tactician has long been admired by the Spurs brass for his high-octane, possession-based philosophy.

Crucially, the manager is reportedly open to discussing a potential move at the end of the season.

Bringing De Zerbi to North London would represent a massive statement of intent, signaling a commitment to a modern, progressive brand of football that could maximise the potential of Tottenham’s current attacking roster and reinvigorate a demanding fanbase.

Marco Silva is a proven Premier League alternative

While De Zerbi occupies the pole position, Tottenham are ensuring all bases are covered.

Silva has also emerged as a prominent name in the boardroom discussions. The Portuguese manager has consistently demonstrated his ability to build cohesive, resilient, and forward-thinking sides in the Premier League.

Silva’s track record of stabilising squads and implementing clear tactical identities makes him an incredibly attractive contingency plan.

His deep understanding of the English top flight offers a potentially smoother, less risky transition if negotiations with De Zerbi were to stall, providing a pragmatic but equally ambitious alternative.

For now, the Spurs faithful must watch and wait as the executives meticulously plot their next major move.

Journalist drops Mo Salah bombshell straight after his Liverpool exit was confirmed

25 March 2026 at 10:28

Liverpool are preparing for a significant chapter to close, as Mohamed Salah is set to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that discussions between the club and the Egyptian forward have progressed toward an agreement that would allow him to depart in a manner similar to the negotiated exit of former manager Jürgen Klopp.

The move would mark the end of one of the most influential individual eras in Liverpool’s modern history.

A departure that signals the end of an era

Salah’s exit would represent a defining moment for Liverpool supporters, given his extraordinary contributions since arriving from AS Roma in 2017.

Over nearly a decade at Anfield, Salah has consistently delivered elite-level performances, becoming one of the club’s most prolific scorers and a key figure in their domestic and European successes.

Throughout his time at Liverpool, Salah has been central to major triumphs, including Premier League and Champions League campaigns that reshaped the club’s standing among Europe’s elite.

The reported structure of his departure, mirroring the mutually agreed arrangement used during Klopp’s exit, suggests a respectful conclusion rather than a contentious separation.

What next for Salah after Liverpool exit?

His next destination remains uncertain. Clubs from across Europe and the Middle East have previously expressed interest in securing his signature.

In recent seasons, teams in the Saudi Pro League have been strongly linked with the Egyptian star, offering lucrative contracts designed to attract high-profile players.

However, there remains speculation that Salah could also consider opportunities within Europe, particularly if he wishes to continue competing at the highest level.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are expected to begin planning for life without their talisman.

Replacing a player of his stature, however, will be no simple task, and Liverpool may need to adjust their tactical approach to compensate for his absence. Losing such an influential figure requires careful planning both tactically and commercially.

Man United and Chelsea not put off by £100 million price tag of English attacker

24 March 2026 at 17:07

According to Football Insider, Manchester United and Chelsea are set to go against each other in the race to sign Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.

The England international is once again enjoying a brilliant season with Villa and his performances have not gone unnoticed.

The former Middlesbrough man has been watched closely by noy only Man United and Chelsea but also by Liverpool and Arsenal.

He has been the driving force of Unai Emery’s side and their main attacking outlet once again this season.

Man United and Chelsea are ready to pay big money

As per the report, both the Premier League giants have not been put off by the high asking price that Villa have set for Rogers.

Emery’s side are expected to demand £100 million for the 23-year-old, who has eight goals and five assists from 31 appearances in the top flight this season.

Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider:

“His price tag will be pretty hefty, it’ll be well in excess of £100million probably if somebody wanted to sign him, because he’s under a long-term contract until 2031.

“But even with that price tag, it won’t scare people off, some of the big clubs in the Premier League and across Europe will be ready to test Villa’s resolve in the summer.”

What next for Rogers if he leaves Aston Villa?

Both Man United and Chelsea can make a strong case for the young attacking Englishman.

The Red Devils and the Blues are going through a period of transition but going by their form and their future ambitions, it appears like a move to Man United would appeal more to Rogers.

It is highly likely that Man United will be able to offer him Champions League football next season, something which remains a doubt for Chelsea.

Rogers is reportedly open for a new challenge in his career and the INEOS-led revolution at Old Trafford could appeal him.

Arsenal lead race for French wonderkid as Premier League giants circle

24 March 2026 at 16:09

Arsenal are intensifying their pursuit of highly rated Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the club carrying out detailed scouting and background work ahead of a potential summer move.

The Gunners are among several Premier League heavyweights tracking the 18-year-old prodigy, according to TEAMtalk.

However, they are far from alone, with Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea all closely monitoring Bouaddi’s progress in Ligue 1.

The teenager’s rapid rise at Lille has turned him into one of the most sought-after young midfielders in European football.

With nearly a century of senior appearances already to his name despite his age, Bouaddi represents the type of long-term investment Premier League clubs are increasingly prioritising.

Arsenal have stepped up scouting efforts

The club’s recruitment model in recent years has placed strong emphasis on identifying emerging talent before market competition drives prices significantly higher.

Scouts from Arsenal were reportedly present during Lille’s 2-1 victory over Marseille, a match that attracted attention from several English clubs.

Liverpool representatives were also believed to be in attendance, highlighting the growing competition for Bouaddi’s signature.

The youngster has made 24 appearances for the French club this season in Ligue 1.

Bouaddi has gone through remarkable development

One of the most striking aspects of Bouaddi’s career so far is the sheer volume of experience he has accumulated.

Despite being only 18 years old, he has already made around 90 senior appearances for Lille, an achievement rarely seen at such a young age in top-flight European football.

He has the ability to operate effectively as both a deep-lying midfielder and a more advanced playmaker.

While Arsenal appear to be laying the groundwork early, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea are all expected to remain firmly in the race.

Each of these clubs has a strong track record of investing in young talent, particularly players capable of adapting to the Premier League’s physical demands.

With his rapid development and already impressive experience at senior level, Bouaddi’s future appears exceptionally bright.

Report: 25-year-old ready to snub Chelsea for a move to Real Madrid

24 March 2026 at 15:52

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández has emerged as one of the most talked-about names ahead of the summer transfer window, with growing reports suggesting he would be open to joining Real Madrid if the opportunity arises.

The Argentine international views a potential move to the Spanish giants as a career-defining step, according to talkSPORT.

While Chelsea remain keen to retain one of their most influential midfielders, speculation surrounding his future has intensified following recent comments that hinted at dissatisfaction behind the scenes.

Real Madrid interest adds momentum to transfer talk

Real Madrid’s interest in Enzo Fernández shows their ongoing effort to strengthen midfield depth as they plan for the future.

The Spanish club has long prioritised technically gifted midfielders capable of controlling matches at the highest level, and Fernández’s profile matches closely with their recruitment strategy.

Since arriving at Chelsea in a high-profile transfer, Fernández has established himself as a key figure in the team’s midfield structure. His ability to dictate tempo, distribute the ball under pressure, and contribute defensively has made him a standout performer in the Premier League.

Alongside Real Madrid, other major clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, have reportedly monitored Fernández’s situation closely. However, despite interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, including Al Ittihad, the Argentine midfielder is believed to favor continuing his career in Europe.

Recent development at Chelsea has reignited speculation

Recent developments at Chelsea may also be influencing Fernández’s thinking. Reports have indicated that he was disappointed by the manner in which former manager Enzo Maresca departed, an event that introduced uncertainty within the squad.

Despite speculation, Chelsea’s hierarchy is unlikely to part with Fernández easily. The club invested heavily to secure his services and considers him a central component of their long-term plans.

Financially, any potential transfer would likely require a significant fee, potentially placing him among the most expensive midfielders in European football history.

Fernández’s caliber often attract sustained interest from elite clubs due to their consistency and leadership qualities. Even during periods of uncertainty within the squad, his performances have remained relatively stable, reinforcing his reputation as a reliable midfield anchor.

Man United take patient approach in managerial search as summer decision looms

24 March 2026 at 13:34

Manchester United are maintaining a cautious and methodical approach in their search for a new permanent manager, with no formal contact yet made with potential candidates.

Reports from Sky Sports indicate that the club’s leadership is determined not to rush into a decision, despite ongoing speculation surrounding the managerial position.

With the summer window approaching and long-term planning underway, United’s hierarchy appears focused on securing the right appointment rather than making a quick fix.

The Man United strategy: Patience over panic

Historically, Man United’s post-Sir Alex Ferguson era has been defined by reactive, often rushed managerial appointments that ultimately failed to deliver sustained Premier League dominance.

Under the stewardship of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the newly restructured football operations team, that paradigm is definitively shifting. The current directive from the top is clear: the club will not be rushed into a decision.

The board is reportedly prioritising a comprehensive, data-led evaluation of potential candidates.

They are looking for a tactician who not only aligns with the club’s long-term vision for high-intensity, modern football but also possesses the developmental pedigree to integrate emerging academy talents alongside established international stars.

A significant factor allowing the United hierarchy this luxury of time is the stabilising presence of interim manager Michael Carrick.

Since stepping into the breach following the mid-season departure of his predecessor, Carrick has steadied the ship, securing crucial points in the league and restoring a much-needed sense of calm to the dressing room.

His competent, low-drama stewardship has alleviated the immediate pressure on the board.

This buys the sporting directors the breathing room needed to conduct thorough background checks and discreet assessments of elite managers who are currently tied to other clubs across Europe.

Real Madrid expect Man United & Liverpool to make midfielder offers

24 March 2026 at 13:15

La Liga giants Real Madrid are prepared for offers from Manchester United and Liverpool for French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, according to Football Insider.

The Frechman has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a long time and his lack of playing time in Spain has given spark to rumours of his exit from the Spanish giants.

Camavinga is known for his versatility as he can play in a number of different positions.

The talented Frenchman can be deployed in the midfield as well as in the left-back position and that has made Premier League clubs monitor his situation closely.

As mentioned in the report, Real Madrid are still undecided over the future of the midfielder and if they are to let him leave the club in the upcoming summer window, they will demand a massive fee for the young midfielder.

Man United and Liverpool could make Camavinga move

Both Man United and Liverpool are looking to sign new midfielders in the summer transfer window.

The need for new midfielder at United is evident considering their struggles in that department this season.

With Casemiro heading out of the club at the end of the season, the Premier League giants are carefully assessing their options at the moment.

A new midfielder is most likely going to arrive at Old Trafford but it remains to be seen who will be their top target.

As for Liverpool, the hierarchy wants to freshen up their midfield with new options and Camavinga is a player who can provide that option well.

Even at the age of 23, the Frenchman has experience of playing at the highest level and winning trophies at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid’s asking price for Camavinga?

As mentioned in the report, Real Madrid are expected to demand around £43million for the midfielder.

However, we feel that the Spanish giants will ask for a bigger amount considering Camavinga’s talent and his potential to get even better.

He is going to provide a long term solution to any team he joins in the future and the winning mentality and the experience that he will bring to the club will be much more than what the Premier League club would be paying for him.

It all depends on the stance of Real Madrid and what they eventually decide to do.

24 March 2026 at 12:45

Speculation surrounding Bruno Guimarães and a potential move to Manchester United is gathering momentum, with fresh claims suggesting that personal terms between the Brazilian midfielder and the Old Trafford club may already be in place.

Guimarães’ representatives are encouraging Man United to accelerate negotiations with Newcastle United, according to a source on X.

While no official confirmation has emerged from either club, the growing noise around the deal reflects United’s clear intent to strengthen their midfield ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

The possible transfer comes at a time when Man United are actively planning for long-term changes in midfield, particularly with veteran players entering the latter stages of their careers.

Man United midfield evolution is underway

Guimarães fits into a strategy aimed at modernising their midfield unit.

With experienced figures such as Casemiro now in his mid-30s, club officials have reportedly prioritised identifying a younger midfielder capable of providing both defensive stability and creative progression.

Guimarães, widely considered one of the Premier League’s most complete midfielders, has emerged as a natural candidate to fill that role.

His technical quality, combined with leadership attributes, has made him a key figure at Newcastle United since his arrival.

Personal terms may have been agreed indicate that United are laying the groundwork for a potential transfer.

Newcastle United stance on the Brazilian midfielder

Newcastle United are expected to take a firm stance in any negotiations involving Guimarães.

Since joining the club, he has become central to their tactical structure and leadership group. His performances have played a major role in Newcastle’s progress toward consistent European qualification ambitions, making him one of the most valuable players in their squad.

Newcastle are believed to value Guimarães highly, and any potential transfer would likely require a substantial fee, potentially exceeding typical midfield valuations in the current market.

Guimarães’ advisors reportedly pushing for progress suggests that the player’s camp sees an opportunity to explore new challenges.

Newcastle United’s strong negotiating position means any potential deal will be far from simple.

The coming months are likely to determine whether discussions evolve into formal negotiations or remain part of ongoing transfer speculation.

Sources: Real Madrid and Liverpool among clubs monitoring ‘untouchable’ Chelsea defender

24 March 2026 at 11:14

Chelsea’s production line of academy talent continues to generate excitement, and the latest name capturing attention across Europe is Josh Acheampong.

Multiple top clubs, including Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, and Newcastle United, are monitoring his progress closely, impressed by his ability to operate effectively in multiple defensive roles, sources close to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside.

At just 19 years old, the versatile defender has quickly emerged as one of the most intriguing young prospects ahead of the summer 2026 transfer window.

Acheampong represents a new breed of defender often described as a “hybrid”, equally comfortable as a right-back or centre-back.

Acheampong is a modern defender impressing top clubs

Acheampong’s rapid rise has been fueled by his adaptability and physical attributes. Standing at approximately 1.90 meters, he offers a commanding presence in aerial duels while maintaining the pace and mobility typically associated with wide defenders.

This versatility mirrors the demands of modern tactical systems, where defenders are expected not only to stop attacks but also to initiate them.

The ability to contribute to build-up play, recover defensively, and overlap into attacking positions makes Acheampong particularly attractive to clubs seeking flexible squad solutions.

The defender has made just 12 Premier League appearances for the Blues this season.

Interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs reflects the growing recognition of Acheampong’s potential.

Real Madrid view him as a possible long-term addition capable of strengthening their defensive depth. With experienced players in Madrid’s back line entering the later stages of their careers, the club is believed to be prioritizing younger talent capable of evolving into leadership roles over time.

Closer to home, Liverpool and Newcastle United have also been linked with scouting activity surrounding the young defender.

Although the Chelsea hierarchy feel that the defender is “untouchable”, his contract situation could have an impact on his future.

Potential offers in the region of €25-30 million could test Chelsea’s resolve, particularly if multiple clubs formally enter negotiations.

With Financial Fair Play regulations influencing transfer strategies across Europe, the sale of homegrown players can provide significant financial flexibility.

Chelsea have a big decision to make regarding the future of one of their best young players.

Journalist drops latest Arne Slot hint and possible replacement at Liverpool

24 March 2026 at 10:13

Pressure continues to mount on Liverpool manager Arne Slot after the latest defeat against Brighton in the Premier League.

Journalist Kevin Palmer has claimed on X that Slot’s time could possibly coming to an end at Liverpool.

The suggestion that “that might be the end” for the Dutchman has added fresh momentum to an already intense debate surrounding Liverpool’s direction after a difficult run of results.

Although the club has not issued any official statements indicating a managerial change is imminent, growing scrutiny from supporters and pundits reflects the heightened expectations at one of England’s most demanding football institutions.

Journalist’s hint fuels speculation around Slot’s future

While the remarks stopped short of confirming any internal decision, the tone of the conversation implied that patience within the club hierarchy may be wearing thin.

Liverpool’s recent form has played a significant role in shaping the current narrative.

A 2-1 defeat to Brighton, combined with a disappointing run of league results, has left the club struggling to maintain a strong position in the race for Champions League qualification.

That loss marked the team’s tenth Premier League defeat of the season, a milestone not reached by Liverpool in nearly a decade, highlighting the scale of the current challenges.

Such setbacks have inevitably placed Slot under increasing scrutiny, particularly given the financial investment made in the squad.

Could Xabi Alonso replace Slot at Liverpool?

The journalist shared a GIF of Spanish manager Xabi Alonso in his post on X, sparking speculationg that the former Liverpool midfielder could be coming in to replace Slot at the club.

Following his exit from Real Madrid a few months ago, Alonso is currently out of job and he would jump at the opportunity to take the Liverpool job and manage them.

Having proven his pedigree as a manager at Bayer Leverkusen, Alonso will once again be high in demand, despite his struggles at Real Madrid this season.

The Spanish is known for his modern day coaching style and his attention to detail.

An emotional return to Anfield would make sense for all the parties involved.

The coming weeks could prove decisive, as results on the pitch are likely to determine whether Slot is given more time to restore momentum or whether the club opts for a new managerial direction.

Newcastle United hierarchy make decision on the future of manager Eddie Howe

24 March 2026 at 09:49

Newcastle United’s leadership remain firmly behind manager Eddie Howe, despite mounting pressure following a challenging run of results this season.

According to the Daily Mail, the club’s executive team continues to support Howe and believes he is the right figure to lead Newcastle forward.

At the same time, preparations are underway for a potentially significant squad reshuffle this summer, with several player departures and arrivals expected as part of the club’s evolving long-term strategy.

Newcastle’s rise over recent seasons has raised expectations both internally and among supporters, making recent inconsistencies particularly noticeable.

However, the club’s decision-makers appear committed to stability at managerial level while addressing weaknesses within the squad.

Newcastle United have struggled this season

Their latest defeat against rivals Sunderland has shown how vulnerable the Magpies have been this season.

Howe’s team is currently 12th in the Premier League standings this season and European football looks difficult to achieve.

That setback will come with financial, as well as sporting repercussions for the Premier League side.

Despite that, the club executives believe that Howe is the right manager to take the club forward.

Howe has played a central role in Newcastle’s transformation since taking charge, guiding the club from a relegation-threatened side to one capable of competing in the upper half of the Premier League and challenging for European qualification.

Pressure has nonetheless increased in recent months due to inconsistent performances and growing competition within the Premier League. Injuries to key players and a demanding fixture schedule have also contributed to Newcastle’s uneven form.

Major squad changes expected in the summer

While the manager’s position appears secure for now, the playing squad could undergo significant changes once the summer transfer window opens.

Newcastle are believed to be planning a substantial turnover of players as they seek to strengthen depth and address areas that have underperformed this season.

Financial considerations will also influence transfer activity. Although Newcastle benefit from strong ownership backing, the club remains mindful of Financial Fair Play regulations and the need to balance spending with player sales.

This reality has prompted a more calculated approach to squad building, with emphasis placed on both immediate improvement and long-term sustainability.

Talks held: Man United exit now only a matter of time as winger involved in talks for next move

24 March 2026 at 09:41

Jadon Sancho’s time at Manchester United appears to be nearing its conclusion, with a departure at the end of the 2025–26 season now considered virtually certain, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The winger will move on in the summer as part of United’s wider squad restructuring plans.

Among the clubs showing serious interest, Borussia Dortmund have emerged as a leading contender, with senior figures at the Bundesliga side actively exploring the possibility of bringing the England international back to familiar surroundings.

Sancho’s situation has attracted attention across Europe, with several clubs monitoring developments, but Dortmund’s strong historical connection with the player places them firmly at the center of the conversation.

Man United prepare for squad changes this summer

Man United have decided to move on from Sancho as they look to make more changes to their squad.

Since arriving at Old Trafford in 2021 with significant expectations, Sancho has experienced an inconsistent spell marked by flashes of brilliance but limited sustained impact.

While he has shown moments of creativity and technical quality, competition within United’s forward line and tactical changes over recent seasons have reduced his influence.

With his departure now firmly on the agenda, club officials are believed to be open to offers that allow United to reinvest in other areas of the squad.

Financial considerations also play a role, as restructuring wages and transfer budgets remains a priority in modern squad management.

Borussia Dortmund push for an emotional return

Borussia Dortmund’s interest in Sancho carries both sporting and emotional significance. The 25-year-old previously enjoyed the most productive period of his career at the German club, where he developed into one of Europe’s most exciting attacking talents.

During his first spell in Dortmund, he became known for his explosive dribbling, creativity, and ability to deliver decisive assists, qualities that helped elevate the club’s attacking threat.

Dortmund chief executive Aki Watzke is a driving force behind the renewed pursuit. Watzke has long admired Sancho’s abilities and is believed to view his return as an opportunity to strengthen Dortmund’s attacking depth while reintroducing a familiar figure to the squad.

Sancho has reportedly been informed of Dortmund’s interest and the strong support for the move within the club’s leadership. However, discussions remain ongoing, and no final agreement has yet been reached.

Jurgen Klopp responds strongly to rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid

24 March 2026 at 09:35

Jürgen Klopp has firmly rejected speculation linking him with a potential move to Real Madrid, responding with visible frustration to reports suggesting that the Spanish giants had already made contact with him.

Speaking during a media round at a Magenta-sponsored event, Klopp dismissed the claims as baseless and clarified that he has not been approached by Real Madrid or any representatives connected to the club.

The German manager remains focused on his current role within the Red Bull football structure and has made it clear that he has no intention of stepping down in the near future.

The comments come amid growing speculation across European media regarding potential managerial changes at Real Madrid, where long-term planning and succession discussions have been widely debated in recent months.

Jurgen Klopp has responded strongly to latest rumours

Klopp did not hide his irritation when addressing the rumours, which had circulated widely across several outlets.

The former Liverpool manager emphasised that no contact had been made by Real Madrid officials, including club president Florentino Pérez, and suggested that speculation was being fueled by unreliable sources.

In his remarks, Klopp criticised the rapid spread of unverified information, pointing out how modern reporting and artificial intelligence-generated content can sometimes create misleading narratives.

He indicated that if Real Madrid had genuinely approached him, it would have been widely known through credible channels rather than speculation.

Klopp said, as reported by Florian Plettenberg:

“That’s nonsense. Not once have they called. Did Real call me or Pérez and ask: Jürgen, do you fancy it? Or is it enough if xxx (he mentions an Austrian media outlet here) or some AI writes any rubbish? It’s annoying. If Real had called me, you would have heard about it. But they haven’t called. And what next – am I also taking over Atlético at the same time? Sorry, Madrid. They have to call me first BEFORE I can say anything.”

Commitment to the Red Bull project remains firm

Beyond dismissing speculation about Madrid, Klopp also addressed questions about his own professional future. He made it clear that he is not planning to leave his current role within the Red Bull football organisation anytime soon.

On leaving RB, he said:

“I’m not planning to quit anytime soon.”

Since transitioning into his new position following his departure from Liverpool, Klopp has been involved in overseeing strategic football development across multiple clubs within the Red Bull network.

This role represents a different kind of challenge compared to day-to-day management.

Rather than focusing solely on match preparation and team selection, Klopp is now engaged in broader football operations, including talent development pathways, recruitment strategies, and long-term sporting identity.

Tottenham manager option emerges as relegation fears continue to grow

23 March 2026 at 17:20

Tottenham Hotspur’s turbulent season has taken another worrying turn, with the club now exploring managerial alternatives as relegation concerns intensify.

Reports from The Daily Telegraph indicate that former Monaco head coach Adi Hütter has emerged as a leading candidate should Spurs decide to part ways with interim manager Igor Tudor.

The North London club’s latest defeat, an alarming home loss to Nottingham Forest, has heightened anxiety among supporters and intensified pressure on the club’s leadership to act decisively.

Tottenham’s current position near the bottom of the Premier League table represents one of the most difficult periods in the club’s recent history.

With survival now far from guaranteed, the board faces crucial decisions that could determine the club’s immediate and long-term future.

Defeat against Nottingham Forest deepens crisis

Sunday’s defeat to Nottingham Forest was widely viewed as a damaging setback in Tottenham’s battle to remain in the Premier League.

The loss not only extended a poor run of results but also exposed persistent weaknesses in defensive organisation and match management.

Interim manager Igor Tudor has been navigating challenging circumstances since stepping into the role, but the mounting losses have made his position increasingly uncertain.

In the aftermath of the Forest defeat, Tudor did not attend the post-match press conference due to a personal bereavement, a situation that understandably shifted focus away from immediate managerial speculation.

However, behind the scenes, discussions about the club’s direction are believed to be intensifying.

The international break has provided Tottenham with a brief window to reassess their strategy before their next fixture scheduled for 12th April.

Adi Hütter’s profile and managerial record

Adi Hutter

Among the names linked with the Tottenham role, Hütter stands out as an experienced coach with a reputation for attacking football and tactical flexibility.

The Austrian manager has built his career across several major European leagues, including spells at Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Mönchengladbach, RB Salzburg, and most recently AS Monaco.

Hütter’s tenure at Monaco lasted approximately 18 months, but his most notable achievement came during his only full season in charge, when he guided the club to a second-place finish in Ligue 1.

Earlier in his career, Hütter also earned recognition for leading Eintracht Frankfurt to strong domestic performances and memorable European runs.

History shows that managerial appointments can provide psychological momentum during relegation battles. A new voice in the dressing room often brings renewed discipline and tactical clarity, factors that can quickly influence results.

Man United star’s season ended early after suffering severe ankle injury

23 March 2026 at 16:12

Manchester United’s promising young winger Bendito Mantato has been dealt a significant blow after sustaining an ankle injury that could rule him out for the remainder of the 2025–26 season.

Manchester Evening News report that the 18-year-old is currently recovering while wearing a protective boot, with medical staff focusing on rehabilitation rather than rushing his return.

The injury comes at a frustrating time for the highly rated academy graduate, who had recently begun to make inroads into the senior squad and was building momentum following his first-team debut earlier in the campaign.

For a player widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in United’s youth system, the setback represents a temporary halt in what had been a rapidly rising trajectory.

Injury strikes at a crucial stage of development

The debilitating injury occurred earlier this month during an Under-21s fixture against Chelsea.

Shortly after being introduced from the bench to inject pace into the game, Mantato sustained the ankle damage that would ultimately end his campaign.

Medical assessments have since confirmed the severity of the issue, and the teenager is currently confined to a protective boot.

For an academy graduate hovering on the periphery of regular senior minutes, the timing is a devastating blow, with the medical staff drawing a definitive line under his season to focus entirely on rehabilitation.

Mantato’s extended absence will be felt most acutely in United’s pursuit of silverware in the FA Youth Cup. Having started crucial early-round fixtures against Peterborough, Derby County, and Oxford United, the winger was already forced to watch from the stands as the U18s successfully dispatched Sunderland in the quarter-finals.

Now, he will miss the highly anticipated semi-final clash against Crystal Palace. Adding salt to the wound, should United progress, Mantato will be sidelined for a potential mini-Manchester derby against Manchester City in a blockbuster final at the Etihad.

First team aspirations on hold for Man United youngster

This setback hits the pause button on a remarkably steep upward trajectory.

Mantato made headlines earlier this season when former manager Rúben Amorim handed him his senior Premier League debut as a substitute during December’s hard-fought 1-1 draw against Wolves.

Following Amorim’s departure, Michael Carrick stepped in as interim boss, presenting Mantato with a fresh opportunity to impress a manager famously attuned to trusting youth. Unfortunately, that chapter will now have to wait until next season.

While the 2025/26 season has ended in deep frustration for Mantato, his overarching journey is only just beginning.

Bundesliga tactican emerges as Liverpool option to replace Arne Slot

23 March 2026 at 15:16

Liverpool’s long-term managerial planning is once again under the spotlight, with Sebastian Hoeneß, the highly regarded VfB Stuttgart head coach, emerging as a potential candidate should the club decide to part ways with Arne Slot later this year.

Speculation surrounding Slot’s future continues to circulate following an inconsistent run of results, prompting Liverpool’s hierarchy to quietly assess possible alternatives, according to Football Insider.

Among the names gaining traction is Hoeneß, a 43-year-old German tactician whose rapid rise in European football has drawn widespread attention.

While no formal decision has been announced regarding Slot’s future, Liverpool are believed to be monitoring several managers capable of leading the club into its next competitive cycle.

Hoeneß’s reputation for tactical innovation and player development has placed him firmly in the conversation.

Hoeneß’ has experienced a rise in German football

Hoeneß has built a strong managerial reputation in a relatively short period. Since taking charge of VfB Stuttgart nearly three years ago, he has overseen a significant transformation in the club’s performances, turning them into one of the most tactically disciplined sides in the Bundesliga.

Under his guidance, Stuttgart have developed a reputation for organised defensive structures combined with fluid attacking patterns, often outperforming expectations against more financially powerful rivals.

Hoeneß’s coaching philosophy emphasizes positional awareness, pressing coordination, and efficient use of possession.

Before establishing himself as a top-flight manager, Hoeneß gained experience within youth and reserve team systems, where he demonstrated a clear focus on development and tactical discipline.

Born in Munich, he initially pursued a playing career that included spells at clubs such as Hertha Berlin, but he retired relatively early at the age of 28 in 2010.

Liverpool are already planning for the future

While former fan-favorite Xabi Alonso remains heavily linked to the Anfield hot seat, Hoeneß represents a highly attractive, tactically astute alternative.

The German’s ability to consistently punch above his weight and develop young talent appeals to Liverpool’s data-driven hierarchy.

The coming weeks will be absolutely decisive for Liverpool’s short-term and long-term future.

Slot is fighting to save his job, hoping that a late domestic surge can salvage a Champions League qualification spot and pacify an increasingly frustrated fanbase.

However, if the Anfield board decides that last season’s title was the ceiling rather than the foundation, Hoeneß has the pedigree, the philosophy, and the momentum to step into one of the biggest jobs in world football.

Report: Man United have top target in mind to lead summer midfield revolution

23 March 2026 at 15:01

Manchester United have reportedly identified Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimarães as their primary target to succeed veteran midfielder Casemiro, according to UOL.

With the 34-year-old Casemiro officially confirmed to depart at the end of the current campaign, ending a decorated four-year stint, United’s leadership is moving swiftly to ensure his replacement is secured well before the summer window opens.

Despite a late-career resurgence this season under interim manager Michael Carrick, netting seven goals and providing defensive stability, Casemiro’s departure is viewed as a necessary step in Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s long-term squad overhaul.

Casemiro has given his endorsement to Bruno Guimarães

The Brazilian icon, who currently earns a club-high £350,000 per week, has personally endorsed Guimarães as his ideal successor, citing his compatriot’s leadership and tactical intelligence as the perfect fit for the “new look” United.

Guimarães, now 28, represents a blend of peak-age experience and Premier League proven quality.

While Newcastle remain desperate to keep their talisman, their recent Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona and an inconsistent league campaign have left the Magpies vulnerable.

With Guimarães’ previous £100 million release clause having expired in 2024, the transfer fee is now subject to direct negotiation.

Sources suggest a figure in the region of £69 million (€80 million) could be enough to tempt Newcastle, who may need to balance the books after failing to secure elite European football for next season.

Man United have strategic vision in mind for midfield change

Man United’s reported discussions with Guimarães’ representatives indicate a proactive approach to recruitment.

Rather than waiting for Casemiro’s decline to become more pronounced, the club appears intent on securing a successor capable of transitioning seamlessly into a leadership role.

United’s midfield structure is expected to evolve in the coming seasons, with greater emphasis on mobility and ball progression.

Guimarães’ versatility, capable of playing both as a deep-lying midfielder and in more advanced roles, makes him an attractive option for a team seeking tactical flexibility. His familiarity with the Premier League further strengthens his appeal, reducing the risks associated with adaptation.

Recruitment specialists across Europe have also noted that Man United are monitoring several midfield options, suggesting that Guimarães is part of a broader shortlist. However, his proven track record in England places him among the most desirable candidates available.

Man City star weighs next career move with his eyes set on Barcelona dream

23 March 2026 at 14:38

Bernardo Silva’s future has become a growing topic of discussion across European football, with the experienced Manchester City midfielder reportedly considering a move to Barcelona once his contract expires at the end of the season.

The Portugal international is widely understood to be exploring his options ahead of what could be one of the most significant decisions of his career, according to Sport.

Barcelona have long admired Silva’s technical quality and versatility, but questions remain about whether the Catalan side’s current midfield structure leaves room for another ball-dominant creative player.

Barcelona remain a long term admirer of Man City star

Barcelona’s interest in Silva is far from new. The club has monitored him for several seasons, viewing him as a technically gifted midfielder capable of thriving in possession-based systems.

Silva, now 31, has built a reputation as one of Man City’s most reliable performers under Pep Guardiola.

However, Barcelona’s midfield has undergone a generational shift in recent years. The emergence of young, technically proficient players has created depth in central areas, raising concerns about how Silva would fit into an already crowded department.

Silva himself is aware of the situation and is carefully evaluating whether regular playing time would be guaranteed should he make the move.

Silva’s potential departure also comes at a time when Man City are gradually reshaping their squad.

With several senior players entering the later stages of their careers, the club is balancing experience with youth development.

While City would ideally prefer to retain a player of Silva’s quality, his contract situation means they may have limited leverage if he chooses to move on.

Pep Guardiola’s long-term future has been widely debated, and any change in leadership could influence the club’s tactical direction.

Players nearing contract expiry often assess such factors carefully, especially when considering moves late in their careers.

Man United draw up defensive shortlist with Arsenal star firmly on their radar

23 March 2026 at 13:20

Manchester United are stepping up their search for a reliable left-back ahead of the summer transfer window, with several Premier League names now firmly on their radar.

TEAMtalk indicate that United are closely monitoring Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly, Fulham’s Antonee Robinson, and Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell.

The club’s interest reflects a strategy to strengthen defensive depth and address recurring issues on the left flank, an area that has lacked consistent stability in recent seasons.

With the club continuing its long-term rebuild, securing a dependable option at left-back is seen as a priority.

United’s recruitment team is believed to be focusing specifically on players already proven in the Premier League, reducing adaptation risk and ensuring immediate impact.

Defensive reinforcements are priority at Man United

Man United’s defensive structure has been under scrutiny throughout the current campaign.

Injuries, rotation, and inconsistent form among existing options have often forced tactical adjustments, leaving the team vulnerable in wide defensive areas.

United’s focus on Premier League-proven players suggests a pragmatic approach.

Rather than targeting untested talent from overseas leagues, the club is looking for players who already understand the league’s physical intensity and tactical pace.

Lewis-Skelly’s situation at Arsenal draws attention

Among the names being monitored, Lewis-Skelly represents one of the most intriguing long-term prospects.

The 19-year-old has been widely regarded as one of Arsenal’s most promising young talents, capable of operating both as a left-back and in midfield roles.

However, his opportunities at the Emirates Stadium have been limited in recent months due to strong competition.

The impressive performances of Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapié have made it increasingly difficult for Lewis-Skelly to secure regular minutes.

For a young player eager to accelerate his development and push for international recognition with England’s youth and senior setups, consistent playing time is essential.

Sources close to English football circles suggest that a temporary move, or even a permanent transfer, could become a realistic option if his situation does not improve before the summer window opens.

With summer approaching and squad planning already underway, the left-back position is shaping up to be one of the key focal points in Man United’s next phase of building.

Leading contender: 44-year-old manager named as top candidate for the Liverpool job

23 March 2026 at 11:41

Liverpool’s managerial situation has come under renewed scrutiny following their latest Premier League setback, with speculation intensifying over Arne Slot’s future at Anfield.

Xabi Alonso has been identified as a leading candidate to step in should Liverpool decide to make a change in the dugout, according to Football Insider.

Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion has added to mounting pressure on Slot, raising fresh questions about the club’s direction during a season that has delivered inconsistent results.

Brighton defeat deepend concern for Liverpool

Liverpool’s loss at the Amex Stadium marked another frustrating chapter in what has been an uneven campaign.

The defeat followed a series of mixed performances that have dented the club’s push for Champions League qualification, an objective widely considered essential for maintaining Liverpool’s competitive and financial standing.

Liverpool’s struggles this season have not solely been about results but also about consistency in performance. Defensive lapses, missed opportunities in front of goal, and difficulties maintaining intensity over 90 minutes have all been highlighted as recurring themes.

Slot’s tenure has unraveled at an alarming pace. Just ten months ago, the Dutch tactician was celebrated for steering Liverpool to a dominant Premier League title. Today, he oversees a squad that has already suffered its 10th league defeat of the campaign.

Xabi Alonso’s availability and rebuilding vision

Enter Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard, who famously led Bayer Leverkusen to a historic, invincible domestic double back in 2024, is currently a free agent following a brief, turbulent eight-month stint at Real Madrid that ended in January.

His availability has inevitably sparked murmurs of a romantic return to Merseyside, a move that would immediately galvanise a deeply disillusioned fanbase.

Reports suggest that initial contact has already been made by Liverpool’s football operations team, and Alonso is open to the challenge.

However, the 44-year-old will not arrive without sporting guarantees. Speculation indicates Alonso has already drawn up a strategic transfer wishlist to execute a squad overhaul.

While Liverpool’s board has not publicly indicated any imminent decision, the pressure surrounding Slot has undoubtedly increased.

Erling Haaland’s future is once again dominating transfer headlines across Europe, with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid reportedly preparing to explore the possibility of signing the Manchester City striker.

Interest from La Liga’s two biggest clubs has intensified, but Man City remain adamant that the Norwegian forward is central to their long-term plans, according to Football Insider.

Despite a dip in scoring form by his extraordinary standards, City officials are understood to have no intention of sanctioning a sale, viewing Haaland as the cornerstone of their attacking project for years to come.

Spanish giants remain interest in Man City attacker

Haaland, now 25, has set exceptionally high standards since arriving in England, becoming one of the most feared forwards in world football.

However, recent months have been relatively quiet compared to his usual output, with the striker scoring five goals in 19 appearances since the start of 2026.

While this tally would be respectable for many forwards, it represents a noticeable drop for a player who has consistently challenged scoring records across competitions.

This temporary slowdown has fueled speculation in Spain that Barcelona and Real Madrid could test Man City’s resolve with ambitious summer approaches.

Both clubs view Haaland as the type of marquee signing capable of redefining their attacking futures.

City’s position remains clear, Haaland is not for sale. The striker is tied to the club until June 2031, placing City in a commanding contractual position. Club executives are reportedly focused on strengthening the squad around him rather than considering any exit.

City’s recruitment strategy for the upcoming window is expected to target areas such as midfield depth and defensive reinforcement, ensuring that Haaland continues to receive the service required to maximise his strengths.

There has also been growing discussion surrounding Man City’s managerial future.

Should Pep Guardiola eventually step aside, a topic frequently debated in European football circles, reports suggest that Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany is viewed internally as a leading candidate to succeed him.

23 March 2026 at 10:48

Newcastle United are once again monitoring the situation of Chelsea striker Liam Delap as the summer transfer window approaches, with the club keen to strengthen their attacking depth ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Delap’s limited opportunities at Stamford Bridge this season have sparked growing speculation about his future, and Chelsea are understood to be open to discussions should a suitable offer arrive.

Limited minutes at Chelsea raise questions

Delap’s first season at Chelsea has not unfolded as smoothly as many expected when he joined from Ipswich Town last summer.

The move was initially viewed as a step forward for the young striker following a promising spell that showcased his strength, direct running, and eye for goal. However, competition within Chelsea’s attacking ranks has made regular playing time difficult to secure.

The English attacker has scored juse one Premier League goal this season and has featured for the Blues for 791 minutes in the league.

Under head coach Liam Rosenior, Chelsea’s tactical structure has largely revolved around João Pedro, who has impressed in the central striker role.

His consistent performances, movement in the box, and ability to link play have made him the preferred No. 9 option, leaving Delap to feature mostly in rotation or late-game situations.

Newcastle United’s interest in Delap is not new. The club reportedly attempted to sign him in 2025 following his emergence as one of the league’s most promising young forwards.

That pursuit ultimately fell short, but Newcastle have continued to track his progress closely.

Sources close to the club indicate that Newcastle view Delap as a player who could complement their existing forward options, offering a physical alternative capable of thriving in high-intensity matches.

His ability to press defenders and make aggressive runs behind defensive lines is seen as a valuable asset, especially in matches where physical duels and aerial strength are required.

Despite his uncertain role, Chelsea are not under pressure to sell. Delap signed a long-term contract that runs until June 2031, placing the club in a strong negotiating position.

Any potential transfer would likely require a substantial offer, particularly given the inflated market for young English forwards.

Sources: Aston Villa and Newcastle United make official approach for French attacker

23 March 2026 at 10:38

Marcus Thuram is becoming one of the standout names to watch ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window, with growing indications that his time at Inter Milan could be entering its final phase.

The French international striker is attracting significant interest from Premier League clubs eager to add proven attacking quality to their squads, sources close to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside.

While Thuram has remained an important figure in Inter’s forward line, sources across Italy and England suggest he is seriously considering a move away in pursuit of a fresh challenge, one that could finally bring him to English football.

Thuram has been highly impressive at Inter

Thuram, now 28, has delivered steady performances in Serie A this season, contributing 7 goals and 3 assists in 22 league appearances.

Under Inter’s current setup, Thuram has often been deployed in flexible attacking roles, sometimes drifting wide or dropping deeper to link play, traits that make him particularly appealing to Premier League sides seeking versatility in the final third.

Interest from Aston Villa and Newcastle United has already moved beyond casual scouting, with both clubs understood to have made early contact to explore the conditions of a potential transfer.

Villa’s continued push to establish themselves as a consistent European contender has made attacking reinforcements a top priority.

Their recent campaigns in continental competitions have exposed the need for greater depth and physicality in the forward line, qualities Thuram offers in abundance.

Newcastle, meanwhile, remain focused on building a squad capable of sustaining long-term competitiveness at the top end of the Premier League.

Their recruitment strategy in recent seasons has centered on players with strong athletic profiles and tactical adaptability, and Thuram’s combination of speed, power, and pressing ability fits well with that blueprint.

From a financial perspective, negotiations are expected to be complex. Market estimates currently place Thuram’s value around €60 million, yet Inter are widely believed to be holding out for a significantly higher fee, reportedly no less than €70 million.

Further complicating matters is the presence of a release clause believed to be around €85 million, scheduled to become active in July. Should any club choose to activate that clause, Inter’s ability to control the situation would be reduced, potentially accelerating the pace of talks.

Despite receiving interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, where financial packages often exceed European offers, Thuram is understood to be prioritising sporting ambition over immediate financial gain.
