Ayaneo has announced the upcoming discontinuation of its Android-based Pocket Fit 8 Elite gaming handheld. The company confirmed that rising RAM and storage costs have made further production unsustainable. After fulfilling pre-orders and completing one final restock, Ayaneo will end production of the device.

The Pocket Fit 8 Elite, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, has begun shipping to backers after months of production delays. Ayaneo prioritized shipping orders as soon as individual SKUs left the factory.

The company stated that it is committed to completing all outstanding pre-orders before selling remaining inventory to the public. However, future production costs will increase significantly, making this restock likely the last.

Ayaneo revealed that the global RAM shortage had a significant impact on the Pocket Fit 8 Elite. The company attributed months of delays to supply chain disruptions.

Although Ayaneo reserved materials for limited additional production, the rising cost of components prevents the product from being a long-term offering. Ayaneo has no plans to produce more units after the next restock.

This isn’t an isolated situation for Ayaneo. Several other handhelds in the company’s lineup are also facing production limitations. The Pocket Vert and Pocket S Mini will not be restocked once the current inventory sells out.

For the Pocket Air Mini, Ayaneo confirmed that free promotional units will end after April 1, 2026. Meanwhile, the Pocket DS is available for limited pre-orders, but its future batches remain uncertain.

The company also shared an update on its Next 2 flagship Windows handheld. Ayaneo suspended sales of the Next 2 due to rapidly increasing storage prices.

Costs have grown to nearly double the original estimates, making the device unsustainable to sell at its current retail price. Pre-orders of the Next 2 will still be fulfilled, and Ayaneo plans to resume sales if prices stabilize in the future.

Topfeel has launched its Next 2 mini PC, a compact system powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 H255 processor. The Next 2 is one of the few mini PCs that supports a dedicated graphics card, making it a flexible choice for gamers and creators.

Topfeel Next 2 Specifications

The mini PC features the Ryzen 7 H255 processor with 8 cores, 16 threads, a 4.9GHz boost clock, and a 4nm design, operating at a max TDP of 85W for desktop-grade performance. Its integrated AMD Radeon 780M GPU handles everyday tasks and light gaming efficiently without a dedicated graphics card.

Topfeel has equipped the Next 2 with a PCIe x16 slot, which allows users to install a discrete GPU. The system supports GPUs up to 185mm in length and 42mm in thickness. It includes a 12V 8-pin external power delivery, with recommended configurations supporting cards up to the RTX 4060 Ti.

The Next 2 supports dual DDR5 SO-DIMM slots with up to 128GB of RAM and speeds of 5600MHz. It also features three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 SSD slots and an additional M.2 2230 slot for either a Wi-Fi card or storage. The Pro variant offers expandability for up to four 2.5-inch SATA drives, making it a good choice for home storage or NAS setups.

Topfeel has designed the cooling system with a custom top-down thermal module. It uses a 10015 fan, four copper heat pipes, and a thickened copper base. The system divides airflow between the CPU and GPU, ensuring stable performance even during intensive workloads.

Connectivity on the Next 2 includes USB4, dual LAN ports (10GbE and 2.5GbE), HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, and USB-C. The system can drive up to four displays at once.

Topfeel uses a CNC-machined aluminum chassis for the Next 2, with 3-4mm thickness and a slide-rail design for easy upgrades. The system measures 203 x 98 x 190mm for the standard variant, while the Pro version increases the length to 261mm.

Pricing and Availability

The Topfeel Next 2 mini PC is available in multiple configurations at competitive price points. The base barebone variant is priced at 2,999 yuan ($419). The 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD version costs 5,099 yuan ($712), while the top-end 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD option is priced at 7,099 yuan ($991).

The Next 2 Pro adds further expandability and starts at 3,199 yuan ($447) for the barebone model, with the 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD version at 5,299 yuan ($739) and the 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD option at 7,299 yuan ($1,019).

Gmktec officially launched the Evo-T2S mini PC in China. The system is powered by the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor and comes with 64GB of RAM. It is priced at 14,999 yuan ($2,170) and is now listed on JD.com.

Gmktec Evo-T2S Specifications

The Evo-T2S is powered by Intel‘s Core Ultra X7 358H processor, built on the advanced 18A 1.8nm process. It features 16 cores (4 performance, 8 efficiency, and 4 low-power cores), with boost speeds up to 5.1GHz.

The processor delivers 180 TOPS of AI computing performance (INT8) and includes the Intel NPU 5 engine to optimize AI inference and enhance collaboration between the CPU and GPU for efficient workload handling.

Gmktec has paired the processor with an Intel Arc B390 GPU. The GPU features 12 Xe3 cores, runs at up to 2.5GHz, and supports 1080p gaming, video editing, and 3D rendering. It includes ray tracing units and 96 XMX AI cores, providing compatibility with XeSS upscaling and AI frame generation technologies.

The EVO-T2S offers 64GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 8533 MT/s. The storage system includes an 853GB SSD and dual M.2 2280 slots, compatible with PCIe Gen5 and Gen4 drives, which together support up to 16TB of total storage. The device incorporates Phison’s aiDAPTIV+ technology, allowing the offloading of AI model data to SSDs to enhance performance and reduce memory strain.

Gmktec enables fast connectivity with its AMD RZ717 wireless module. The module supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The system also features dual Ethernet ports (10GbE and 2.5GbE) for high-speed networking, along with versatile I/O options, including HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and dual USB4 ports. It also includes an OCuLink (PCIe Gen4x4) interface for connecting desktop-class GPUs to boost performance.

The mini PC weighs 930 grams and measures 154 x 151 x 73.6 mm. It features a dual-fan cooling system with a vapor chamber, supporting up to 54W CPU power and 60W peak power consumption. Gmktec pre-installs its Claw software for a plug-and-play experience.

Gmktec plans to launch a higher-end Core Ultra X9 388H variant in the future.
