TCL beats Samsung in global TV shipments for December 2025

19 February 2026 at 21:22
TCL CES 2026

TCL has officially dethroned Samsung as the top global TV shipper for December 2025, according to Counterpoint Research’s latest data. This marks a major milestone for the Chinese electronics giant, whose shipments surged 10% year-over-year (YoY) last month, giving it a commanding 16% market share. Meanwhile, Samsung, the perennial leader, slipped to second place with a 13% share, despite an 8% YoY increase in shipments.

TCL CES 2026

The performance of TCL was primarily driven by strong sales in Asia-Pacific, China, and the Middle East, which offset weaker demand in North America and Western Europe. The company achieved significant growth by focusing on mid-range and budget-friendly TVs, including the recently launched T7 series. TCL also boosted sales of its high-end QM8K and QM9K models through aggressive holiday pricing.

Global TV Shipments Monthly Report

However, Samsung still holds the crown for Q4 2025 overall, shipping 2% more TVs than TCL during the period. While North and South America provided growth opportunities for Samsung, declines in Western Europe and the Middle East hurt its performance. On the flip side, Hisense, which took third place in December, saw its shipments plummet 23% YoY, highlighting significant struggles in China’s shrinking TV market.

Looking ahead, the ambitions of TCL could spell bigger trouble for Samsung. The company’s upcoming partnership with Sony’s Bravia brand, set to finalize in March 2026, positions TCL to make a serious play in the premium TV market, a territory that Samsung has historically dominated with its high-end OLED and 8K offerings. If TCL can successfully leverage Sony’s reputation in this space, the dynamic of the global TV market could shift dramatically.

For now, TCL’s December triumph might be temporary, but its growth trajectory is impossible to ignore. With a mix of strategic pricing, regional demand timing, and potential premium market expansion, Samsung’s top spot may no longer be as secure as it once was.

Tourism Industry of Singapore Soars: A Thriving Destination for Global Travellers with Unmatched Growth!

19 February 2026 at 23:37
Tourism Industry of Singapore Soars: A Thriving Destination for Global Travellers with Unmatched Growth!

Singapore’s travel and tourism market is on an upward trajectory, with projections indicating a strong growth rate over the next decade. According to a recent report by IMARC Group, the market size, which reached USD 4.7 billion in 2025, is expected to climb to USD 6.9 billion by 2034, reflecting a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 4.28% from 2026 to 2034.

This growth is driven by Singapore’s strategic position as a regional transit hub, its exceptional infrastructure, and its world-class offerings that continue to attract business and leisure travelers alike. With modern amenities, a vibrant tourism landscape, and a focus on digital advancements, Singapore is poised to maintain its competitive edge in the global travel industry.

A World-Class Destination with Strong Market Drivers

Singapore’s success in the travel and tourism sector is attributed to several factors, starting with its status as a central transportation hub in Asia. The city-state’s Changi Airport, consistently ranked as one of the best in the world, serves as a key gateway for both international travelers and regional connections. Additionally, the city’s efficient public transportation system ensures seamless travel experiences for visitors, making it an attractive destination for global tourism.

Moreover, Singapore’s exceptional hospitality sector, which includes a range of high-end hotels, resorts, and services, continues to cater to a diverse clientele. In particular, Singapore’s cruise sector has seen remarkable growth, with the city emerging as a major port of call and departure point for global cruise lines. This surge in cruise tourism underscores the country’s appeal as both a destination and a launchpad for maritime travel.

The Role of Digital Transformation in Enhancing Tourism Experiences

An essential driver of the market’s growth is digital transformation, which has revolutionized how travelers engage with the tourism sector. From online booking platforms to virtual tours, technology has enhanced the customer experience, making travel planning simpler and more efficient. Singapore’s tourism authorities and service providers are leveraging these digital tools to attract a broader range of visitors, ensuring seamless ticket reservations, hotel bookings, and tour packages.

Additionally, Singapore’s adoption of multilingual services and favorable visa policies has made it more accessible to travelers from various regions, broadening its appeal. MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) activities have further bolstered the market, supported by the government’s focus on promoting large-scale events and conferences, which are integral to the country’s tourism strategy.

Government Support and Investments in Sustainable Tourism

Singapore’s government plays a critical role in the market’s success through active investments in sustainable tourism and long-term development. The country has prioritized eco-friendly tourism practices, ensuring that its natural attractions, cultural heritage, and urban spaces are preserved for future generations. This commitment to sustainability has resonated with today’s environmentally conscious travelers, positioning Singapore as a leading sustainable destination in Asia.

Government initiatives, including cultural festivals and tourism infrastructure upgrades, have contributed to the country’s growth as a premier tourism destination. Moreover, public-private partnerships are fostering innovation in the travel sector, with stakeholders working together to enhance Singapore’s tourism offerings and infrastructure.

Recent Developments in Singapore’s Travel Sector

Several recent developments have further contributed to Singapore’s growing position as a travel and tourism powerhouse. For instance, in March 2024, American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) acquired CWT, a major player in travel management, through a US$ 570 million agreement. This merger is expected to boost Singapore’s business travel revenue and enhance its connectivity with other global markets.

Another significant development came in June 2024 when Singapore Airlines and Riyadh Air signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a new airline partnership. This collaboration will improve connectivity between Singapore and Saudi Arabia, further encouraging tourism and business exchanges between these two dynamic regions.

A Look Ahead: Forecasting Singapore’s Travel Growth

Looking forward to 2026 and beyond, the future of Singapore’s travel market appears promising. Inbound tourism is expected to continue its upward trend, with strong growth projected from key markets, including China, India, and Europe. The rise of experiential travel, which emphasizes personalized and unique experiences, will further boost demand for Singapore’s diverse attractions, including its renowned cultural sites, shopping districts, and culinary experiences.

Cruise tourism is expected to maintain its momentum, with increased passenger numbers and new cruise routes further enhancing Singapore’s reputation as a leading maritime destination.

Tourism Segmentation: Types of Travelers and Services Offered

The tourism market in Singapore is categorized into various segments, each driven by specific needs and travel purposes:

  • Domestic vs. Inbound vs. Outbound Travel: While domestic travel continues to grow, inbound tourism remains the primary driver, especially as business and leisure tourism converge.
  • Service Offerings: Singapore’s travel services range from ticket reservations and hotel bookings to comprehensive holiday packages and tailored tour operations.
  • Purpose of Visit: Visitors come for various reasons, including business, leisure, education, and medical tourism.
  • Booking Trends: Travelers increasingly rely on online platforms for bookings, making digital innovation a key focus for tourism service providers.

Conclusion: Singapore’s Unwavering Position as a Top Travel Destination

With its robust infrastructure, strategic location, and commitment to sustainability, Singapore is set to continue its success in the global tourism market. As it prepares for a promising future, the city-state is focused on maintaining its competitive edge, enhancing its offerings, and ensuring that travelers have access to the world-class experiences that have made it one of the most beloved destinations in Asia.

Serie A | Milan 1-1 Como: Leao magic rescues Maignan howler

19 February 2026 at 01:46

Rafael Leao’s remarkable lob cancelled out a Mike Maignan howler on Nico Paz, as Milan were held 1-1 by Como in this rescheduled tie.

This Week 24 fixture was meant to be played on February 8, but with San Siro out of action for the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games opening ceremony, they planned to move it to Perth, Australia. Months of negotiations broke down and it was instead rescheduled for 10 days later.

Adrien Rabiot was suspended, with Santiago Gimenez injured, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic not fully fit, but Rafael Leao and Ardon Jashari returned to the starting XI. Como knocked Napoli out of the Coppa Italia to reach the semi-finals, but in Serie A were held 0-0 by 10-man Atalanta and lost 2-1 at home to Fiorentina. Alvaro Morata sat out a ban, with Assane Diao and Edoardo Goldaniga sidelined, but Nico Paz was used as a False 9. These sides met on January 15, with Milan winning 3-1 amid Mike Maignan heroics.

See how it all unfolded on the Liveblog.

Mergim Vojvoda had the ball in the net with a curler off the inside of the right boot after 25 minutes, but only after he had wandered offside.

Rafael Leao’s angled drive tested Jean Butez at the near post, but while Maignan was the hero last month, he was the villain here.

The goalkeeper was so busy looking to where he could play out from the back that he didn’t realise Nico Paz had ghosted into his path, intercepting the pass to score into an empty net.

Milan tried to fight back immediately, Butez flying to push the Fikayo Tomori bullet header over the bar, but Tomori also needed a decisive interception at the other end to prevent Jacobo Ramon tapping in the Nico Paz free kick. On the resulting corner, Maignan made a tricky save from point-blank range on Sergi Roberto.

Strahinja Pavlovic went off with a knock, replaced by Matteo Gabbia for the restart, while Nico Paz was booked and will be suspended for the showdown with Juventus this weekend.

Just as Como were pouring forward seeking a second, they were caught by a moment of Milan magic. A long Ardon Jashari ball over the top sent Rafael Leao running against two defenders and the on-rushing Butez, he let it bounce and placed a precise lob into the empty net from 25 metres out.

Milan nearly turned the game around completely moments later, but Youssouf Fofana couldn’t keep his header down from five yards on the Alexis Saelemaekers cross.

Rafael Leao also saw his header hit the underside of the bar, but he was offside on the Gabbia flick-on from a corner, while Douvikas fired his volley onto the side-netting at the back post.

Max Allegri was sent off following a furious touchline row with a member of the Como staff, which had started with Saelemaekers and the visiting team manager. Saelemaekers was involved in controversy again when Como wanted him to receive a second yellow card for a mistimed challenge on Martin Baturina.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold inner screen failures surface online

18 February 2026 at 17:59

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold takes the big screen idea further with its new tri-fold design. However, some early users are now reporting problems with the inner folding display. These early complaints have started to raise questions about reliability.

In the first case, a user said the inner screen suddenly turned black after about six weeks of use. The display stopped responding completely. Restarting the phone helped at first, but the problem came back the next day. After that, even a reboot did not fix the screen.

In the second case, another user said the screen failed after just five days. It first started showing random touches without being touched. By the next morning, the screen had turned fully white. It did not respond to any touch at all.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold issue Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold issue

Both users said they were very careful with their phones. They claimed the devices were never dropped or damaged. One user also heard a popping sound when folding the phone. They even noticed what looked like a small air bubble under the display.

Right now, it is not clear what caused the problem. It could be a faulty unit. It could also be linked to the new tri-fold design. Foldable phones have more moving parts, which makes them more complex.

Screen issues can happen with any smartphone. However, foldable devices may face extra stress because they bend. Samsung has not yet shared an official response. For now, it is unclear if this is a small issue or something bigger. Stay tuned for more information.

Passengers Left Waiting at Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport in Ottawa, Canada as 20 Flights Delayed and 15 Canceled, Airlines Including WestJet, Porter Airlines, Jazz and Air Canada Impacted Across Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Cancun and Regional Routes

Passengers Left Waiting at Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport in Ottawa, Canada as 20 Flights Delayed and 15 Canceled, Airlines Including WestJet, Porter Airlines, Jazz and Air Canada Impacted Across Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Cancun and Regional Routes
Ottawa Airport reports 20 delays and 15 cancellations, affecting airlines and disrupting travel across Canadian and international routes.

Travelers moving through Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport today expected smooth departures, but many instead found themselves refreshing flight apps and scanning departure boards as disruptions mounted. The airport recorded 20 delays and 15 cancellations, affecting passengers traveling across domestic Canadian routes and select international destinations. For families planning visits, professionals on business trips, and tourists heading home, the disruptions transformed simple travel days into exercises in patience.

Airlines Most Affected

Operational data shows multiple carriers experienced schedule interruptions, with WestJet reporting the highest number of cancellations, followed closely by Jazz and Porter Airlines. Air Canada registered several delays but avoided cancellations, while PAL Airlines saw only minimal disruption.

Airlines operate highly coordinated schedules in which aircraft and crew rotate across multiple routes each day. When one flight is delayed or cancelled, subsequent flights assigned to the same aircraft can also be affected, creating a chain reaction that spreads disruptions throughout the network.

Origin Airports Showing Disruption

Flights linked to several major cities showed operational impact. Airports contributing to delays or cancellations included:

  • Toronto City Airport
  • Calgary International Airport
  • Montréal-Trudeau International Airport
  • Toronto Pearson International Airport

In addition, a small number of international routes from Caribbean destinations also experienced cancellations, highlighting how disruptions can affect both domestic and international connections.

Because Ottawa functions as a regional gateway rather than a mega-hub, even moderate disruption numbers can feel significant for passengers. Smaller airports operate fewer daily flights, so each cancellation represents a larger share of the schedule.

Government Aviation Context

Canadian transportation statistics show that national airports collectively handle tens of millions of passengers annually and form an essential part of the country’s transportation infrastructure. Government aviation agencies note that airports act as interconnected systems, meaning disruptions at one location can influence schedules elsewhere.

Large airports typically handle the highest volumes, but mid-sized facilities like Ottawa still play a critical role by connecting regional routes to major hubs such as Toronto and Montréal. When delays occur at those larger hubs, connecting flights to smaller airports may also be affected.

Why Delays Occur

Aviation experts emphasize that flight disruptions usually result from overlapping operational factors rather than a single cause. Common contributors include:

  • Weather conditions along flight paths
  • Air-traffic congestion
  • Aircraft arriving late from earlier routes
  • Crew duty-time regulations
  • Runway scheduling constraints

When several of these factors occur simultaneously, delay totals can rise quickly, particularly during peak travel periods.

Passenger Experience

Inside terminals, the impact of delays is often immediate. Boarding times change, announcements are revised, and passengers gather around service desks seeking updates. Some travelers may simply experience longer waits, while others must rebook flights or adjust entire itineraries.

Travel professionals recommend simple precautions to reduce stress during disruption periods: checking flight status before leaving home, arriving early at the airport, and allowing extra time for connections.

Growing Demand on Air Travel

Air travel demand across Canada has been steadily increasing as tourism rebounds and business travel resumes. Industry forecasts suggest passenger numbers will continue rising, placing additional pressure on airport infrastructure and airline scheduling systems.

Airports and airlines are investing in digital tools designed to manage traffic more efficiently, including predictive scheduling technology and advanced communication systems that provide real-time updates to passengers.

Outlook

Aviation analysts note that occasional disruption spikes are not unusual in modern aviation. Airports coordinate thousands of flights across global networks, and even minor operational slowdowns can affect schedules.

For passengers waiting at departure gates in Ottawa, delays can feel like time has slowed to a crawl. Yet behind the scenes, teams of aviation professionals are working continuously to coordinate aircraft, crews, and routes to restore normal operations. In today’s interconnected travel system, patience and preparation remain the most reliable travel companions.

Passengers Left Stranded at Dubai, Cairo and King Khalid Airports in UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia as 549 Flights Delayed and 9 Canceled, Airlines Including Emirates, Flydubai, Saudia, Air India and IndiGo Impacting Travel Across Dubai, Cairo, Riyadh, London, Frankfurt and Global Routes
Dubai, Cairo and Riyadh airports report 549 delays and 9 cancellations, disrupting global travel routes and affecting major international airlines.

Travelers passing through some of the world’s busiest aviation crossroads faced a challenging journey this week as operational disruptions swept across major Middle Eastern hubs. For thousands of passengers, what should have been routine departures turned into long waits, missed connections, and last-minute itinerary changes. Recent aviation data shows a combined 558 flight disruptions across three major international airports — a reminder that even the most advanced global travel hubs remain vulnerable to delays triggered by weather, congestion, aircraft rotation issues, and network-wide scheduling pressure.

Dubai International Airport Disruptions

Dubai International Airport, one of the busiest global transit hubs, recorded 217 delays and 4 cancellations, making it the most affected among the three airports analyzed. As a primary connector between Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, Dubai’s aviation ecosystemh capacity means even minor operational disruptions can cascade rapidly through international flight networks.

Industry analysts note that Dubai’s role as a mega-hub amplifies visibility of delays. Aircraft arriving late from distant continents often create knock-on effects for subsequent departures. Because many long-haul flights rely on tightly scheduled aircraft rotations, a single late arrival can ripple through multiple routes in a single day.

Passengers reported extended waits at boarding gates, rescheduled departure times, and last-minute gate changes. While airport authorities maintained overall operations, the concentration of delays demonstrated how global aviation demand continues pushing infrastructure to its limits as international travel rebounds.

Cairo International Airport Impact

Cairo International Airport experienced the highest number of delays among the three hubs, logging 214 delayed flights and 2 cancellations. As North Africa’s busiest aviation gateway and a major link between Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, Cairo handles dense traffic flows throughout the day.

Experts point out that airports handling mixed traffic — domestic, regional, and intercontinental flights — often face complex scheduling challenges. Cairo’s heavy reliance on connecting passengers means delays can affect travelers far beyond Egypt’s borders, including those connecting to European or Gulf destinations.

Travelers moving through Cairo during the disruption window encountered longer security lines, slower boarding cycles, and increased congestion at transit counters. Aviation planners emphasize that such disruptions often arise from a combination of operational constraints rather than a single cause.

Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport Situation

In Saudi Arabia, King Khalid International Airport recorded 118 delays and 3 cancellations. While its numbers were lower than Dubai and Cairo, the airport still experienced significant schedule pressure relative to its normal traffic volume.

Riyadh’s aviation activity has been growing rapidly due to Saudi Arabia’s expanding tourism initiatives, business travel demand, and transit traffic. Analysts say that fast-growing airports often experience temporary operational strain as infrastructure, staffing, and scheduling systems adapt to rising passenger volumes.

Passengers traveling through Riyadh reported longer wait times at check-in counters and departure gates, particularly during peak evening departure waves when multiple international flights depart within short intervals.

Combined Impact Across the Region

Across all three airports, the totals reached:

  • 549 delayed flights
  • 9 cancellations
  • 558 total disruptions

For travelers, those figures translate into real-world consequences: missed meetings, rescheduled vacations, unexpected hotel stays, and extended airport waits. Aviation disruptions rarely remain isolated events; they propagate across airline networks, affecting flights thousands of miles away from the original delay source.

Regional aviation specialists explain that global air travel operates like a synchronized system. Aircraft, crews, ground staff, and airport slots must align precisely. When one element is delayed — such as an incoming aircraft arriving late — the entire schedule chain can shift.

Why Major Hubs Experience Frequent Delays

Large international airports like Dubai, Cairo, and Riyadh share characteristics that make them especially susceptible to delays:

  • High traffic density: Hundreds or thousands of daily movements leave little room for schedule adjustments.
  • Long-haul dependence: Delays from distant origins carry forward into local departures.
  • Weather variability: Even minor weather changes can slow runway throughput.
  • Tight turnaround windows: Airlines aim to minimize ground time to maximize aircraft utilization.

Experts stress that delays are not always a sign of operational failure. In many cases, they reflect the complexity of coordinating global aviation systems that operate across time zones, weather patterns, and regulatory frameworks.

The Traveler Experience

For passengers, disruptions are measured not in statistics but in hours. A 30-minute delay might mean missing a connecting flight. A cancellation could mean waiting overnight for the next available departure.

Airlines typically activate contingency protocols during disruption periods, including rebooking passengers, arranging accommodations, or rerouting flights. However, when many flights are delayed simultaneously, resources can become stretched, prolonging recovery time.

Frequent travelers often plan buffer time between connections precisely because they know that delays are a normal part of modern aviation. Travel advisers recommend checking flight status before leaving for the airport and signing up for airline notifications to stay informed in real time.

Regional Aviation Demand Continues to Rise

Despite the disruption spike, aviation analysts remain optimistic about the long-term outlook for Middle Eastern air travel. Passenger demand across the region has been climbing steadily as tourism rebounds, business travel expands, and airlines add new routes.

Major airport expansion projects in the Gulf and surrounding regions are designed to accommodate this growth. New terminals, additional runways, and upgraded air-traffic management systems aim to improve efficiency and reduce delay frequency over time.

Outlook

The recent wave of disruptions across Dubai, Cairo, and Riyadh highlights a broader truth about global aviation: the system is resilient but highly interconnected. Even when delays occur, airports, airlines, and air-traffic authorities typically work quickly to stabilize operations.

For travelers, the lesson is simple but important — preparation matters. Checking schedules, arriving early, and staying flexible can transform an unexpected delay from a crisis into a manageable inconvenience.

As international travel continues expanding, moments like these serve as reminders that the journey itself can be as unpredictable as the destination is exciting.

Serie A | Cagliari 0-2 Lecce: Huge 3 points in Serie A relegation battle

17 February 2026 at 01:52

Lecce picked up a massively important 2-0 victory away against Cagliari in Serie A on Monday evening, which has lifted them out of the relegation zone at the expense of Fiorentina and has also drawn Genoa and Cremonses back into the dogfight: Omri Gandelman and Ylber Ramadani with the goals at the Unipol Domus.

Click here to see how the teams lined up.

Riccardo Sottil came close after 28 minutes when the ball bounced up for him inside the penalty area, but the former Fiorentina man saw his shot sail over the crossbar.

Gabriele Zappa also had an opportunity on the half volley inside the area down at the other end. The ball set up kinder for him than it did for Sottil, but he too blazed over the crossbar with his effort.

The eventual Lecce opener couldn’t have come in much simpler circumstances. Sottil stood over a free kick just off the right flank, he lofted one into the area where January signing Gandelman rose and powered in a header from the edge of the six-yard box.

That was the Israel international’s second goal in as many matches for the Salentini.

It was another set-piece that indirectly led to Lecce doubling their advantage 10 minutes later.

Another Sottil free-kick off the right was aimed at Gandelman again, but he was unable to get his head on it this time. Cagliari struggled to clear their lines, Ramadani found himself on the left corner of the penalty area and managed to squeeze a shot past Elia Caprile.

The Cagliari stopper presumably saw the shot late, but will have been disappointed to have been beaten from that angle and range.

This is an enormous three points for Lecce in their bid to avoid relegation to Serie B. They move out of the relegation zone and move three points above Fiorentina, and are now level on points with Genoa and Cremonese in 15th and 16th respectively.

Cagliari now sit just four points above Lecce and have a seven-point cushion between themselves and the bottom three.

Serie A | Napoli 2-2 Roma: New buys do battle as Alisson silences Malen

16 February 2026 at 01:42

Napoli fought their way back twice from Donyell Malen goals to hold Roma to a thrilling 2-2 draw with Leonardo Spinazzola and Alisson Santos, on a big night for January buys.

Both sides were forced into changes by an injury crisis. Scott McTominay joined Giovanni Di Lorenzo, David Neres, Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, Kevin De Bruyne and suspended Juan Jesus in the stands, but Matteo Politano returned to the starting XI after a Coppa Italia penalty shoot-out defeat to Como midweek. Paulo Dybala, Manu Kone, Artem Dovbyk, Evan Ferguson and Stephan El Shaarawy didn’t make the trip, with Matias Soulé and Mario Hermoso not fully fit either, so Bryan Zaragoza got his first start.

See how it all unfolded on the Liveblog.

It took just seven minutes to break the deadlock, as the two January buys combined down the right with Zaragoza rolling across for Malen to come sliding in with the right foot from seven yards. This was the ex-Aston Villa striker’s fourth goal in five Serie A games.

Rasmus Hojlund felt he was dragged down by Evan Ndicka in a promising position, but the referee waved play on, while Stanislav Lobotka’s half-volley was straight at Mile Svilar.

Malen scuffed just wide after shrugging off Amir Rrahmani to push forward from the centre-circle, while Nicolò Pisilli also drilled past the near post and Wesley’s effort was charged down after controlling a long ball.

Napoli equalised after a long passing move, as Leonardo Spinazzola’s screamer from outside the area took a deflection off Pisilli to loop up and over a helpless Mile Svilar. It was a special goal for the former Roma player.

Wesley sprinted down the left and in a desperate bid to run after him, Rrahmani bundled into the back of the Brazilian for a penalty, a tangle of legs that saw both players injured. Malen converted into the top corner with a short run-up to complete his brace and beat Milinkovic-Savic.

Alisson Santos cut inside to test Svilar and Billy Gilmour made his comeback for the first time since early November 2025.

The January signing made an immediate impact, as he gathered the Giovane through ball and drilled a ferocious strike into the near bottom corner from the edge of the area. Alisson Santos was visibly emotional at his first goal for Napoli.

Serie A | Torino 1-2 Bologna: Castro takes Italiano out of crisis

15 February 2026 at 22:56

Bologna took a significant step out of their crisis with this 2-1 victory away to Torino, as a Nikola Vlasic own goal and Santiago Castro show of skill ended their dire run.

The Rossoblu arrived in a huge crisis that threatened to end Vincenzo Italiano’s tenure, crashing out of the Coppa Italia quarter-final on penalties to Lazio midweek, with four consecutive Serie A defeats, just one win in the last 12 rounds. Tommaso Pobega was suspended, with Charalampos Lykogiannis, Torbjorn Heggem and Lorenzo De Silvestri injured. Toro got back on track by beating Lecce and drawing 2-2 with Fiorentina, but Rafa Obrador, Ardian Ismajli and Zanos Savva missed out. Nikola Vlasic and Matteo Prati returned from bans.

See how it all unfolded on the Liveblog.

The stadium was almost empty, as Torino fans stepped up their protest against the club and President Urbano Cairo by boycotting the home games. Nonetheless, it was a special occasion, the first Serie A match shown live on BBC Alba.

Nikola Moro just failed to get clean contact on a header at the back post from Jonathan Rowe’s cross, while Santiago Castro couldn’t get enough power on his effort into the arms of Alberto Paleari.

Federico Bernardeschi cut inside to shoot from the right, forcing a tricky save from Paleari, while Rowe bent a wonderful right-foot curler inches past the far top corner from the edge of the box.

Bologna finally broke through after the restart, as Rowe tried to roll across from the left, but the deflection off Vlasic took it into the path of Moro, who tried and failed to connect with a back-heel flick from six yards, still doing enough to put off Paleari.

Serie A | Parma 2-1 Verona: Siege eventually breaks 10 men

15 February 2026 at 20:01

Verona heroically held out down to 10 men for most of the match, but capitulated in added time to a Mateo Pellegrino header for Parma’s second consecutive victory.

The Ducali clambered away from the danger zone with their surprise victory away to Bologna, but Mariano Troilo was suspended, with Nahuel Estevez, Zion Suzuki, Pontus Almqvist, Abdoulaye Ndiaye and Matija Frigan still injured. Hellas remained rock bottom after new coach Paolo Sammarco debuted with a 0-0 draw against Pisa. Armal Bella-Kotchap returned and Kieron Bowie got his first start, though Antoine Bernede, Toma Suslov, Roberto Gagliardini, Sandi Lovric, Pol Lirola and Nicolas Valentini missed out.

It took just over three minutes to break the deadlock, as Mandela Keita intercepted a wayward pass out from the back and gave it to Adrian Bernabé, who flicked it up with his first touch to smash in on the half-volley from 20 metres out.

The game went from bad to worse for Verona, as striker Gift Orban had a foul go against him, turned to scream something that the referee evidently was offended by, as he immediately whipped out a red card.

Moments later, Rafik Belghali limped off with an injury, further adding to the Hellas problems.

Gabriel Strefezza tried to score directly from the corner flag, forcing a tricky save out of Lorenzo Montipò, who also flew to push the Sascha Britschgi volley out from under the bar.

Lautaro Valenti drilled just wide, but 10-man Verona won a penalty when Bowie in his first start had a sensational take to control the ball over the top and turn, wrestled to the ground by Alessandro Circati. Abdoui Harroui converted for his first goal since the anterior cruciate ligament tear last year.

There was an odd moment after the restart when referee Luca Pairetto hurt his eye during an accidental collision with Niasse, but was able to continue.

Bowie thought he had won another penalty when surging into the box, but this time Keita managed to get his toes to the ball first.

Jacob Ondrejka’s curler skimmed the upright and Strefezza volleyed just over on a corner, but the huge chance on 71 minutes saw Strefezza’s right-foot curler loop around the goalkeeper to smack against the crossbar. As the move continued, Montipò parried an Ondrejka effort with his legs.

Pellegrino couldn’t keep his header on target from six yards, but it turned into a Parma siege during the closing stages. Ondrejka’s effort was palmed away until a Gaetano Oristanio acrobatic volley over, then Bernabé saw his shot deflected inches past the near post.

Verona finally capitulated in stoppages when Hans Nicolussi Caviglia floated a ball over the top for Pellegrino’s precise header.

Serie A | Cremonese 0-0 Genoa: No dividing relegation battlers

15 February 2026 at 19:55

Cremonese and Genoa were locked together going into this weekend, and remain in the same position after a goalless draw that saw Federico Bonazzoli hit the crossbar in stoppages.

Both teams were hovering perilously above the drop zone on 23 points going into this clash. The hosts had started the season so well, but scraped just three draws in the last 10 rounds, scoring one goal in five. Warren Bondo, Federico Ceccherini, Michele Collocolo and Mikayil Faye missed out, while Morten Thorsby faced his former club. Genoa were furious after back-to-back controversial last-gasp penalty defeats to Lazio and Napoli.

See how it unfolded on the Liveblog.

Jamie Vardy’s cheeky back-heel flick was smothered, while at the other end a Junior Messias strike was fingertipped over the bar and Emil Audero at full stretch pushed a Vitinha curler round the post.

Milan Djuric’s header was straight at Justin Bijlow, but Audero got down rapidly for a sensational save to push the Brooke Norton-Cuffy angled drive round the far post from 12 yards.

Djuric also saw his acrobatic effort whistle just past Filippo Terracciano at the back post, while Justin Bijlow smothered a Thorsby header.

Genoa started to pour forward after the restart, as Vitinha’s strike was deflected, then Messias hit the side-netting under pressure from Federico Baschirotto.

Djuric’s looping header was inches wide on a Giuseppe Pezzella cross, while Caleb Ekuban drilled onto the side-netting and Alberto Grassi’s volley on the edge of the area was well smothered.

Ekuban turned a header inches over from eight yards on a corner, but it was Cremonese who so nearly won it with the last kick of the game when Bonazzoli’s left-foot strike thumped the frame of the goal.

Serie A | Udinese 1-2 Sassuolo: Solet beaten by rapid Neroverdi double

15 February 2026 at 17:30

A first-half strike from Oumar Solet was not enough for Udinese to hold onto, as two goals within two minutes from Armand Lauriente and Andrea Pinamonti saw Sassuolo leapfrog their opponents into ninth place in the Serie A table on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams were looking to bounce back after disappointing defeats in the league last weekend: Udinese slipping to a 2-1 defeat away against Lecce and Sassuolo falling on the receiving end of a 5-0 hammering from league leaders Inter

Kosta Runjaic opted for a change in shape and brought Nicolo Zaniolo back into his starting line-up, while Fabio Grosso made just one change: Replacing the suspended Nemanja Matic with Luca Lipani in midfield.

The hosts broke the deadlock within the first 10 minutes when Josh Doig attempted to play an underhit pass out from left-back. Solet was aggressive in his pressing and did brilliantly to win the ball high up the pitch on the right flank before dribbling inside and firing low into the bottom corner off his toes from the edge of the area.

It took Sassuolo until the second half to properly dust themselves down.

10 minutes into the second period, the Neroverdi ran it all the way down the left flank from a goal-kick following an Udinese corner: Laurient, Ulisses Garcia and Pinamonti all combined in a fantastic team move, which ended with the Frenchman dispatching into the far corner from the centre of the area.

It was a dismal few minutes for Udinese, as Sassuolo went on to steal the lead with their next attack of the game after the re-start.

The ball was worked down the right flank on this occasion, before Lauriente, Garcia and Pinamonti combined for the second time in two minutes. This time it was Garcia’s cross that was met by the head of Pinamonti in the middle of the area for 2-1.

This was a big result for Sassuolo, who have managed to leapfrog their opponents into ninth place in the Serie A table: Not a bad achievement for a team fresh off promotion from Serie B. Udinese sit one place below them in 10th palace, level on points on 32 from 25 matches.
