Jamal Murray scored 26 points and Jonas Valanciunas had 14 points in his 1,000th career game.

The wins during the streak haven’t been easy. Memphis needed to rally from double-digit deficits in the fourth quarter twice, winning both in overtime.

Jokic, who leads the NBA in rebounding and assists, already clinched a triple-double average for the second straight season. His assist on Cameron Johnson’s layup midway through the third gave him the 198th triple-double of his career. He didn’t play in the fourth quarter.

Cedric Coward had 27 points, for the Grizzlies, who have lost six in a row and 18 of 20. Memphis was 19 of 50 from deep two nights after tying an NBA record with 29 made 3-pointers.

MAGIC 132, TIMBERWOLVES 120

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) β€” Paolo Banchero had 20 points and eight rebounds, Desmond Bane added 18 points and six assists and Orlando beat Minnesota.

Franz Wagner scored 17 points and Goga Bitadze came off the bench with 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Magic, who have won four straight.

The win pulled the Magic (44-36) up to seventh place in the tight race for playoff/play-in positions. With two road games remaining (Chicago on Friday and Boston on Sunday), they could finish anywhere between six and ninth in the Eastern Conference.

Terrence Shannon Jr. led the Timberwolves with a career-high 33 points. Jaden McDaniels, back in the lineup after missing six games with a left knee injury, added 18 points in 19 minutes.

The Timberwolves, who have lost five of seven, played without Anthony Edwards (right knee injury) and four players who started Tuesday night’s win at Indiana that clinched their Western Conference playoff spot.

Julius Randle missed his first game of the season and Rudy Gobert missed his fifth.

PISTONS 137, BUCKS 111

DETROIT (AP) β€” Cade Cunningham had 13 points and 10 assists in his return from injury as Detroit beat Milwaukee in its home finale.

Cunningham hadn’t played since sustaining a collapsed lung in a win against the Washington Wizards on March 17, but appeared comfortable while playing 26 minutes in short stints. He hit six of 11 field goal attempts, including one 3-pointer, and pulled down five rebounds.

Jalen Duren added 21 points and nine rebounds as the Pistons won for the sixth time in eight games. Duncan Robinson scored 20 points on a night where J.B. Bickerstaff kept all five starters under 30 minutes.

Detroit (58-22) can win 60 games for the first time since 2005-06 by winning against the Charlotte Hornets and Indiana Pacers in their final two games.

Jericho Sims had a triple-double β€” 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists β€” while Ryan Rollins scored 23 points for Milwaukee, which has lost 10 of its last 13 games.

Cunningham played 13 minutes in the first half, putting up six points and five assists as the Pistons built a 75-57 lead. Duren had 11 points, six rebounds and a plus-20 in his 13 minutes.

CAVALIERS 122, HAWKS 116

CLEVELAND (AP) β€” Donovan Mitchell scored 31 points, Evan Mobley had 22 points and tied a career high with 19 rebounds, and Cleveland defeated Atlanta.

James Harden added 21 points for the Cavaliers, who have won four straight and seven of eight. Cleveland (51-29) can finish no lower than fourth place in the Eastern Conference and is 1/2 game behind New York for the third seed.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 25 points and Jonathan Kuminga had 24 off the bench as Atlanta was unable to clinch a playoff berth with the loss. The Hawks (45-35) have dropped their last two after winning four straight. They are one game ahead of Toronto for the fifth seed but only 1 1/2 in front of Orlando to avoid being in the play-in tournament.

It was Mitchell’s 200th regular-season game with at least 20 points in four years with the Cavaliers. He is the fifth player in franchise history to reach that milestone.

Mitchell had his 14th game this season with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds.

SPURS 112, TRAIL BLAZERS 101

SAN ANTONIO (AP) β€” De’Aaron Fox had 25 points and San Antonio kept rolling even with Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle sidelined by injuries, defeating Portland.

San Antonio (61-19) is 28-3 since Feb. 1 and has its best record since 2017, its last appearance in the Western Conference finals during a 22-year postseason run that included five NBA championships.

Deni Avdija scored 27 points and Scoot Henderson added 20 for the Trail Blazers, who have lost two straight after a three-game winning streak.

Portland (40-40) remains ninth in the West, just 2 1/2 games ahead of Golden State (37-42) heading into the final weekend of the regular season.

San Antonio had six players in double figures to offset the absence of the NBA’s past two Rookie of the Year winners. Keldon Johnson scored 20 points and rookie forward Carter Bryant added a season-high 17.

SUN 112, MAVERICKS 107

PHOENIX (AP) β€” Devin Booker scored 37 points, Dillon Brooks added 28 and Phoenix edged short-handed Dallas.

The Mavericks pulled within 110-107 on John Poulakidas’ 3-pointer with 1:08 left and had a chance to get even closer on their next possession but Oso Ighodaro blocked Moussa Cisse at the rim to stop the rally.

Brooks made a driving layup with 13.7 seconds to finally put the game away. The Suns clinched the No. 7 spot in the Western Conference playoff race, meaning they get two chances at home to win one game in the play-in tournament.

Poulakidas β€” a 6-foot-5 undrafted rookie who played at Yale β€” scored a season-high 23 points. Rookie of the Year front-runner Cooper Flagg had a tough game, scoring 11 points on 4 of 19 shooting.

The Mavericks trailed 71-53 early in the third quarter but used an 18-1 run to get back into the game. Dallas took its first lead of the second half when Max Christie hit a 3-pointer for a 95-93 advantage with 8:16 left.

The Suns responded with a 9-0 run and didn’t trail again. Dallas had just 10 available players because of injuries.

THUNDER 128, CLIPPERS 110

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) β€” Chet Holmgren had 30 points and 14 rebounds, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 20 points and 11 assists, and Oklahoma City clinched the NBA’s best regular-season record with a victory over Los Angeles.

Jalen Williams scored 18 points for the NBA champion Thunder (64-16), who will have homecourt advantage throughout the postseason in their title defense after holding off San Antonio (61-19), which is on an 18-2 run since February. Oklahoma City has won seven straight and 19 of 20 to earn the West’s No. 1 seed for the third straight season.

Kawhi Leonard scored 20 points and Brook Lopez added 16 for the eighth-place Clippers, who had won seven of nine. Los Angeles is 35-18 since shortly before Christmas, but still must win one of its final two games to extend this once-moribund franchise’s streak to 15 consecutive winning seasons.

The Clippers head to Portland on Friday for a crucial game. The winner almost certainly will finish eighth in the Western Conference, while the losers will slip to ninth, where they’ll need two wins in the play-in tournament to make the playoffs.

Jason Zucker’s third-period goal lifts the Sabres past the Rangers

NEW YORK (AP) β€” Jason Zucker scored the tiebreaking goal early in the third period, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 17 saves, and the Buffalo Sabres rallied to beat the New York Rangers 5-3 on Wednesday night.

Zucker slid his 24th goal past Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin at 7:14 after teammate Alex Tuch had tied the contest with his 31st at 5:50 of the third.

Zach Benson scored twice and Ryan McLeod added a goal for the Sabres, who will participate in the postseason for the first time since 2010-11.

The Sabres won their 48th game in a dramatic turnaround from last year when they had 79 points and missed the playoffs for a 14th straight season. Buffalo is 22-6-3 in its last 31 games, including a league-best 16 wins and 34 points since the Olympic break.

Alexis Lafreniere scored twice and Adam Fox also scored for the Rangers in their home finale. Shesterkin had 22 saves.

CAPITALS 4, MAPLE LEAFS 0

TORONTO (AP) β€” Logan Thompson made 21 saves to register his third shutout of the season as Washington breathed life into their fading playoff hopes with a victory over the Toronto.

Dylan Strome and Martin Fehervary, with a goal and an assist each, Ryan Leonard and Cole Hutson scored for Washington, which sits three points back of the Eastern Conference’s final wild-card spot with three games left on the schedule.

Anthony Stolarz suffered a lower-body injury early in the first period after stopping the second of two shots he faced for Toronto.

Joseph Woll finished with 14 saves in just over 57 minutes of work for the Maple Leafs, who are set to miss the postseason for the first time since 2016.

Bulls pounded NBA-worst Wizards ending 7-game skid in first game since front-office shake-up

WASHINGTON (AP) β€” Rob Dillingham scored a career-high 26 points and the Chicago Bulls ended a seven-game skid, pounding the NBA-worst Washington Wizards 129-98 on Tuesday night in the opener of a two-game set.

In the first game since they fired their top two basketball executives, the Bulls were in firm control by the end of the first quarter, leading 38-18 against a Washington team that’s seeking to maximize its odds of landing a top draft pick.

Chicago extended its lead to 66-37 by halftime and 100-63 by the end of the third against a Wizards team that appeared disinterested on defense. Patrick Williams added a season-high 20 points and Tre Jones had 20 points and nine assists for the Bulls, who play at Washington again on Thursday night.

TIMBERWOLVES 124, PACERS 104

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) β€” Ayo Dosunmu scored 24 points and Julius Randle and Bones Hyland each added 19 as Minnesota picked up a critical victory over Indiana.

Hyland also had seven assists and Rudy Gobert finished with 12 rebounds. Minnesota is on the cusp of clinching a top six seed and avoiding the Western Conference’s play-in tournament. It could happen later Tuesday β€” if Houston beats Phoenix. For the Timberwolves, it was a much-needed turnaround. They snapped a three-game losing streak and won for just the second time in six games as they try to build postseason momentum.

The Timberwolves also won despite the absences of All-Star guard Anthony Edwards and Jayden McDaniels. Edwards has missed nine of Minnesota’s last 11 games with a bad right knee, this time on the front end of a back-to-back and against a Pacers squad missing a large group of injured players. McDaniels missed his sixth straight game with an injured left knee.

Ethan Thompson scored 17 points to lead Indiana, and Obi Toppin and Jalen Slawson each had 14 points. The league’s second-worst team lost its third straight and fell to 4-22 in its last 26 games. Indiana still needs two wins to avoid posting the lowest single season victory total in the franchise’s NBA history.

NETS 96, BUCKS 90

NEW YORK (AP) β€” E.J. Liddell scored a career-high 21 points to lead Brooklyn to a victory over Milwaukee.

Ben Saraf added 19, while Drake Powell and Malachi Smith each had 11 for the Nets (20-59), who have won two straight and three of their last five.

AJ Green scored 20 points for Milwaukee, which dropped to 31-48. Taurean Prince added 16 points, Cormac Ryan chipped in with 14 and Jericho Sims had 12.

Five years after the Bucks edged the Nets in Game 7 of a thrilling second-round series on their way to the NBA championship, both teams are out of the playoff race and Milwaukee’s Doc Rivers indicated before the game he might not coach much longer.

RAPTORS 121, HEAT 95

TORONTO (AP) β€” Scottie Barnes scored 25 points, Brandon Ingram finished with 23 and Toronto beat Miami, an outcome that locked the Heat into the play-in tournament for a fourth consecutive season.

Jakob Poeltl scored 17 points for the Raptors (44-35), who moved within a game of idle Atlanta for the No. 5 spot in the Eastern Conference playoff chase. Toronto is aiming for its first playoff trip since 2022 and leads Philadelphia (43-36) by one game in the race for the sixth and final guaranteed berth in the East.

RJ Barrett scored 16 and Jamal Shead had 11 assists off the bench for Toronto.

A 19-2 run by the Raptors in the first half turned a two-point deficit into a 13-point lead, and Toronto maintained the double-digit margin virtually the entire rest of the way.

Andrew Wiggins scored 24 points for Miami (41-38), which now likely needs to win its final three games to have any realistic chance of escaping the No. 10 seed going into the play-in tournament for a second consecutive year.

CELTICS 113, HORNETS 102

BOSTON (AP) β€” Jaylen Brown had 35 points and nine rebounds, and Boston outlasted Charlotte.

Brown has scored 26 or more points in his last 10 games. Jayson Tatum added 23 points and has had at least 20 in each of his last six games. Both played the entire fourth quarter.

With the win, the Celtics inched closer to locking up the No. 2 playoff seed in the Eastern Conference. It also gave Boston a 2-1 win in the season series with the Hornets, who could potentially be its first-round opponent.

The Hornets led by 11 in the first half but were outscored 35-26 in the third quarter as Boston took a 90-87 edge into the final period. The Celtics limited the Hornets to 15 points in the fourth, when they built a 13-point lead.

LaMelo Ball led the Hornets with 36 points, his second straight 30-point game.

PELICANS 156, JAZZ 137

NEW ORLEANS (AP) β€” Jeremiah Fears set a Pelicans rookie record for points in a game with 40, and New Orleans snapped an eight-game losing streak with a victory over Utah, who lost their 10th straight.

Fears, the seventh overall pick in the draft, shot 17 for 29 from the field and 1 for 7 from 3-point distance. Jordan Poole scored 34 points, including 22 in third quarter, when New Orleans set a franchise record for points in a period with 50. The Pelicans also set a franchise record for points in a game, despite playing without usual starters Zion Williamson, Trey Murphy III, Dejounte Murray, Herb Jones and Saddiq Bey.

While Murphy (right ankle) and Murray (bruised left hand) were injured, Williamson, Jones and Bey were all active, but were left on the bench for New Orleans’ final home game of a second-straight non-playoff season.

Poole, who has spent more than half the season on the bench, shot 7 of 16 from 3-point range in his seventh start for New Orleans.

Rookie Micah Peavy scored a season-high 20 points, 2023 first-round draft choice Jordan Hawkins added 25 points for New Orleans and 2025 first-rounder Derek Queen (13th overall) had 17 points and 12 rebounds as the Pelicans finished with a franchise-record 90 points in the paint.

Henderson homers again as the Orioles beat the White Sox

CHICAGO (AP) β€” Gunnar Henderson hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in Baltimore’s three-run eighth inning, and the Orioles beat the Chicago White Sox 4-2 on Tuesday for their eighth straight victory over the South Siders.

Henderson, Tyler O’Neill and Blaze Alexander each had two hits for Baltimore, which left 14 runners on base. Yennier Cano (1-1) got three outs for the win on a chilly afternoon, and Ryan Helsley handled the ninth for his fourth save.

Alexander started the eighth-inning rally with a one-out double off Jordan Hicks (0-1). Ward followed with another double, tying it at 2.

Chase Meidroth had two hits for Chicago, which dropped to 3-2 on a six-game homestand. Shane Smith struck out eight and walked five in 3 2/3 scoreless innings in his third start of the year.

GUARDIANS 2, ROYALS 1

CLEVELAND (AP) β€” Brayan Rocchio’s single with one out in the ninth inning drove in CJ Kayfus to give Cleveland a victory over Kansas City.

Kayfus singled off John Schreiber (0-1) and advanced to second when Bo Naylor walked. Rocchio’s single just eluded Kansas City second baseman Jonathan India to go into right field. Kayfus slid into home and beat the throw of right fielder Lane Thomas for the winning run.

Cleveland second baseman Juan Brito went 2 for 4 in his major-league debut and Steven Kwan had an RBI single in the fifth inning.

Kansas City rookie Carter Jensen homered for the second straight game for the Royals’ only hit. Jensen connected on a cutter in the second inning off Cleveland starter Gavin Williams and drove it over the wall in right-center for his third home run of the season.

METS 4, DIAMONDBACKS 3, 10 INNINGS

NEW YORK (AP) β€” Pinch-hitter Ronny Mauricio returned to the majors by lining a game-winning single in the 10th inning that gave New York a victory over Arizona.

New York (7-4) won its fourth straight game and improved to 2-2 in extra innings already this season.

Mauricio, recalled Monday from Triple-A Syracuse when slugger Juan Soto was placed on the injured list, laced an 0-2 pitch from Paul Sewald (0-2) over the head of right fielder Corbin Carroll to drive in automatic runner Francisco Lindor from third base with one out.

Luke Weaver (1-0) pitched a perfect 10th for the Mets, who played their third straight extra-inning game at home. New York beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-2 in 11 innings on March 28 and lost 4-3 in 10 innings the next day.

PIRATES 7, PADRES 1

PITTSBURGH (AP) β€” Reigning NL Cy Young Award winner Paul Skenes put together his second straight solid start, keeping San Diego hitless until the sixth inning of Pittsburgh's win over San Diego.

Skenes (2-1), who was rocked during an opening day loss to the New York Mets, struck out six and walked two in 6 1/3 innings while lowering his ERA to 5.54. The Padres’ first of two hits against the 23-year-old was a clean single to left by Fernando Tatis Jr. with one out in the sixth.

Xander Bogaerts homered off Skenes β€” the first round-tripper given up by a Pittsburgh starter this season β€” with one out in the seventh. Skenes exited to a loud ovation from the announced crowd of 9,061 on a chilly night as the Pirates won for the sixth time in seven games.

Oneil Cruz hit a two-run double off Nick Pivetta (1-2) in the fifth and Nick Gonzales added a two-run single to start a five-run eighth for the Pirates. Skenes and three relievers combined on a three-hitter.

RED SOX 3, BREWERS 2

BOSTON (AP) β€” Trevor Story lined a two-run double in the sixth as Boston overcame 11 strikeouts to beat Milwaukee and end a three-game skid.

Garrett Crochet struck out seven for the Red Sox, who won for just the third time in 11 games this season and avoided a 2-9 start, which has happened only four times in franchise history, most recently in 2011.

Crochet (2-1) outlasted Milwaukee right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, who struck out 10 before running into trouble in the sixth.

CUBS 9, RAYS 2

ST. PETERSBURGH, Fla. (AP) β€” Alex Bregman broke out of an 0-for13 slump with three hits and Javier Assad worked 5 2/3 shutout innings to lead Chicago to a win over Tampa Bay.

The Cubs (5-6) banged out a season-best 16 hits and snapped a two-game skid. The Rays had their three-game winning streak halted in front of an announced crowd of 21,377 in the second game of their return to Tropicana Field.

Both teams had some rotation chaos.

The Rays (5-6) were without scheduled starter Drew Rasmussen, whose wife went into labor with the couple’s second child hours before first pitch. Mason Englert (0-1) got the start and allowed four runs on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings.

The Cubs announced before the game that ace Cade Horton would miss the rest of the season after an MRI revealed UCL damage in his right elbow.

Chicago’s Pete Crow-Armstrong had his first home run of the season, a solo shot in the seventh inning, among his three hits. Moises Ballesteros’ two-run homer in the ninth was his first of the season.

DODGERS 4, BLUE JAYS 1

TORONTO (AP) β€” Yoshinobu Yamamoto allowed one run in six-plus innings, Shohei Ohtani extended his career-best on-base streak to 42 games and Los Angeles pushed their winning streak to five, beating Toronto.

Ohtani led off the game with a four-pitch walk. He also hit an RBI single in the third inning and was walked intentionally in the ninth.

Alex Freeland had three hits, drove in a run and scored twice. Kyle Tucker struck out three times in his first four at-bats but gave the Dodgers some insurance with an RBI single off Jeff Hoffman in the ninth.

CARDINALS 7, NATIONALS 6, 10 INNINGS

WASHINGTON (AP) β€” Thomas Saggese hit a go-ahead double in the 10th inning, and St. Louis rallied for a win over Washington.

Nathan Church and Jordan Walker homered for St. Louis. The Cardinals scored five runs against the Nationals’ scuffling bullpen, which entered the day ranked 28th in the majors with a 6.34 ERA.

James Wood homered for a third consecutive game for the first time in his career for Washington, which has dropped six of seven.

YANKEES 5, ATHLETICS 3

NEW YORK (AP) β€” Amed Rosario homered twice, including a go-ahead, three-run drive in the eighth inning that rallied New York over the Athletics.

New York, which matched its best start at 8-2, trailed 3-1 entering the eighth and had been 0 for 12 with runners on base before its comeback. The Yankees cut the deficit on Giancarlo Stanton’s RBI single past shortstop Jacob Wilson, who took a misstep to his left.

Rosario homered to left on an 0-1 splitter from former Yankee Mark Leiter Jr. (0-1) for his third multi-homer game and first since Aug. 31, 2021, for Cleveland.

Rosario also homered in the second on a 43-degree night in the Bronx.

Fernando Cruz (1-0) struck out Lawrence Butler with two on to end the eighth and David Bednar pitched a perfect ninth for his fifth save.

RANGERS 3, MARINERS 2

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) β€” Kyle Higashioka gave Texas the lead with a two-run homer, Nathan Eovaldi recorded his 1,500th career strikeout during six solid innings and the Rangers beat Seattle.

Higashioka’s liner just over the wall in left field in the fifth put the Rangers in front 3-2 against George Kirby, who lost to Texas for the first time in 11 career starts. The right-hander won eight of those first 10.

Brendan Donovan homered to right on the first pitch of the game in Eovaldi’s 300th career start, but the 36-year-old right-hander settled in and struck out seven, including Josh Naylor for his 1,500th to end the first inning. Eovaldi (1-2) allowed six hits and two runs.

REDS 6, MARLINS 3, 10 INNINGS

MIAMI (AP) β€” Anthony Bender threw a game-tying wild pitch with two outs in the ninth inning after Cincinnati chased Sandy Alcantara and Nathaniel Lowe hit a go-ahead single that sparked a four-run 10th, leading the Reds over Miami for a five-game winning streak.

Matt McLain doubled twice and had two RBIs as Cincinnati improved to 5-0 on the road and at 8-3 overall matched its best start since 2011.

Alcantara had a two-hit shutout entering the ninth and had not allowed a run in 24 innings this season. Miami backed him with run-scoring groundouts by Otto Lopez and Heriberto HernΓ‘ndez in the second against Andrew Abbott.

Flyers top Bruins 2-1 in OT, inch closer to playoff return

PHILADELPHIA (AP) β€” Porter Martone capped a fantastic first week in the NHL with a power-play goal in the NHL to put the Philadelphia Flyers even closer toward ending a miserable playoff drought with a 2-1 overtime victory over the Boston Bruins on Sunday.

The 19-year-old Martone β€” who just wrapped his season at Michigan State β€” is just the boost the Flyers needed down the stretch to earn that coveted playoff spot. His first career NHL goal in his fourth game put the Flyers into third place in the Metropolitan Division with five games left for them this season.

Flyers fans erupted when Martone capitalized on the man advantage β€” courtesy of David Pastrnak’s hooking penalty β€” with 2:29 left in OT.

The Flyers needed this win to get in Eastern Conference playoff position for the first time since Jan. 12.

The Bruins tied the score 1-1 only 35 seconds into the third period when Pavel Zacha knocked one past Dan Vladar on the power play for his 29th goal of the season.

Christian Dvorak took a perfect touch pass from Martone, the Flyers’ 2025 first-round draft pick, and finished a 2-on-1 with a wrister past Joonas Korpisalo for the early 1-0 lead. Still buzzing from the early goal, Flyers fans erupted only moments later when Travis Konecny and Boston’s Charlie McAvoy briefly scrapped near the net.

SENATORS 6, HURRICANES 3

OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) β€” Brady Tkachuk scored twice and Ottawa beat Carolina to move into the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

Ottawa moved a point ahead of the New York Islanders for the last playoff spot with five games left. The Senators are five points behind Boston for the first wild card.

Carolina leads the East, two points ahead of Tampa Bay. The Hurricanes missed a chance to clinch the Metropolitan Division.

Both teams were playing the second half of back-to-back games, with Ottawa scoring twice in a 3:42 span in the third to take a 5-2 lead.

Shane Pinto made it 4-2 on a power play, beating Frederik Andersen to the short side. Ridly Greig then won a race to the net and, while Andersen made the initial save, the side was wide open for Tkachuk to bury his second of the game.

Carolina’s Taylor Hall wristed a shot past Linus Ullmark with 2:30 remaining to make it 5-3, but Claude Giroux added an empty-netter for Ottawa.

WILD 5, RED WINGS 4

DETROIT (AP) β€” Kirill Kaprizov completed the sixth hat trick of his NHL career on the power play with 1:51 remaining to lead Minnesota to a win over Detroit.

The Wild led 4-1 before allowing Detroit to score three times in the third period and tie it. A penalty on Patrick Kane paved the way for Kaprizov to score his third goal of the game.

The Red Wings led the Atlantic Division and were tied for the most points in the Eastern Conference the morning of Jan. 25, with a 12-point playoff cushion. They’ve lost 12 of 20 games since to fall out of a spot with five left to play.

Matt Boldy and Mats Zuccarello each had an assist on the go-ahead goal. Vladimir Tarasenko and Boldy each scored for the Wild after Albert Johansson had a goal in the first.

J.T. Compher, Axel Sandin-Pellikka and Kane scored on Filip Gustavsson to rally back. Gustavsson finished with 18 saves, while Detroit’s Cam Talbot allowed five goals on 20 shots.

PENGUINS 5, PANTHERS 2

PITTSBURGH (AP) β€” Rickard Rakell scored twice, Sidney Crosby had a goal and two assists and Pittsburgh beat Florida.

The teams faced off Saturday night and the Penguins beat them 9-4, eliminating the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions from playoff contention.

Rakell scored his first goal for the Penguins with 48 seconds left in the first period on the power play, assisted on by Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. His second came with 1:52 left in the second period.

Bryan Rust and Elmer Soderblom also scored for the Penguins. Carter Verhaeghe and Cole Schwindt each scored for the Panthers.
