SAN FRANCISCO – The Rivals Camp Series returned to the Bay Area for the first time in several years, with several of the top prospects from Northern California, Central California, Southern California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington on hand at City College of San Francisco.

Here are some of the key recruiting news and nuggets coming out of the fourth stop on the Rivals Camp Tour.

–Mission Viejo (Calif.) offensive lineman Amaziah Siale was also offered by UCLA last week after he was at their spring practice and the Bruins are in a good spot for the Hawaii native. He’s planning to visit Utah for an official and Nebraska is working on an official visit date with him, with linebackers coach Roy Manning stopping through to see him this past week. Siale was also at Cal on Saturday for the Bears’ Spring Game and Cal offensive line coach Famika Anae is a Hawaii native too.

—Turlock (Calif.) offensive tackle Avery Michael announced on Saturday that he has shut down his recruitment and is 100% sticking with Oregon. He had Cal and Nebraska in heavy pursuit, both earning spring visits but the Ducks had his heart and he shut things down, with his only official visit planned for Oregon.

–Folsom (Calif.) quarterback Brody Rudnicki will take over as the full-time starter for Ryder Lyons but he could eventually follow him to Provo. The Cougars are set to host Rudnicki for an official visit while nearby Cal is also hosting Rudnicki for an official. Rudnicki plans to serve one year of an LDS mission and would enroll in 2028. Over spring break, he visited BYU, Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, UCLA and Utah.

-San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian edge Cameron Saunders added an offer from UCLA to the mix last week and he’s working on setting up an official visit with the Bruins. He has an official set with Arizona State for May 1 and one to Utah set for June 12 while he’s also working on nailing down dates for both Boise State and San Diego State.

-Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty 2028 Rivals300 running back Carter Hanson was at Cal on Saturday for the Bears’ spring game and he thinks that Cal could be the next school to offer him. Hanson has offers from the ACC (Florida State), Big Ten (Illinois) and SEC (Texas A&M) among his offers and he plans to get to Champaign as well as San Diego State and New Mexico, where his father played. Miami has also been in consistent communication with him.

-Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary’s offensive lineman Damian Anyasodo has four official visits set up, with his first going to Utah on June 5 followed by a visit to Washington State the following weekend on June 12. He’ll round it out with an official to Sacramento State on June 15 and then New Mexico on June 19. He’s planning an unofficial visit to Utah this coming week as well as trips to Nevada and UNLV.

–Antioch (Calif.) offensive tackle George Tyus is focusing on a handful of schools – Boise State, Cal, Oregon State, Sacramento State and Washington State and he’s in the process of lining up official visits with each of them.

-Sacramento (Calif.) Grant defensive lineman Giovanni Hodge committed to Cal earlier in the winter and he’s set to visit Berkeley for an official on June 11. His coach, Syd’Quan Thompson, is a Cal alum and played for the Bears when head coach Tosh Lupoi was an assistant. But UCLA isn’t giving up with Hodge and they’ll get him down for an official visit to Westwood on June 5. He’s also planning to hit Stanford’s spring game next weekend.

-Park Ridge (Ill.) Maine South quarterback Jameson Purcell committed to Indiana in July of 2025. Six months later, he watched the Hoosiers win a national title under Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza. Purcell is set to be in Bloomington for his official visit next weekend, April 24, Little 500 Weekend and pIans to be at the defending national champions’ spring game on Thursday, April 23.

-O’Neals (Calif.) Minarets tight end Jamie Spurgeon is seeing his stock soar, with Hawaii offering this week. Spurgeon has an official visit set to Washington State on June 13 and he’ll be at Fresno State, where he is originally from, scheduled for June 18. But more Power 4 schools are reaching out and he’s hoping offers from those could lead to official visits.

-Santa Rosa (Calif.) Cardinal Newman offensive lineman Joshua Bunni was at Cal on Saturday for the Bears’ Spring Game and Cal is in a great spot with him. He’s scheduled to take his official visit on May 28th. Washington State just offered the Australian import and BYU is coming through Cardinal Newman this week to see him.

–Concord (Calif.) De La Salle 2028 Rivals300 linebacker Landon Miller had USC at his school on Friday and the Trojans got to watch him workout during the eval period. And they were impressed, with Miller landing the offer from the Trojans. He was also offered by Ohio State and checked out Columbus while making numerous visits to nearby Cal for spring football. He’ll be at Oregon in early June, the Ducks having offered last spring.

-Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds safety Prince Staten has five official visits set up, with one in May and the rest in June. His first official visit will take him to Washington State on May 29 and the following weekend, he’ll be at UNLV on June 5. A midweek trip to Colorado State is scheduled for June 8 and then he’ll take the first of two straight Big Ten visits, to Minnesota on June 10 and then to UCLA on June 19.

–Folsom (Calif.) receiver Rob Larson has his official visit slate pretty much set – Vanderbilt will host him on June 4 and Cal will host him on June 11. UCLA is set to host him in May, with Larson finalizing that date down to Westwood.

-Antioch (Calif.) Deer Valley edge Sonisi Maka has a four-school official visit slate lined up for May and June. The first visit takes him to Washington State on May 29 followed by a visit to Sacramento State on June 5. He’ll go to Boise State on June 11 and then wrap it with a visit to UNLV on June 19 which precedes his decision set for the end of June.

-Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman 2028 Rivals300 defensive lineman Tayaun Lawrence is the top-rated recruit in Nevada in the class and just visited Texas A&M earlier this month, with the Aggies close to offering. Lawrence was at Cal over the weekend and was at their Spring Game.
