Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors take unexpected turn with Myles Turner twist
Speculation surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future has reached the point where many around the league expect a trade to happen eventually, yet plenty of uncertainty remains regarding both his next move and the long term outlook of the Milwaukee Bucks.
When the Bucks eventually explore a Giannis Antetokounmpo deal, there is also no certainty the framework would involve him alone. According to NBA insider Gery Woefel, discussions have even touched on the idea of packaging Antetokounmpo with big man Myles Turner in a potential trade scenario, adding another layer of complexity to any possible blockbuster move.
This is hilarious.

“I was told the Bucks have explored the possibility of a trade package that would include Giannis Antetokounmpo and Myles Turner, who recently threw Antetokounmpo under the bus for basically being able to do whatever his heart desired last season and not facing any repercussions — like being hours late for a team flight,” Woelfel wrote in his post on X (formerly Twitter).
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Myles Turner’s time with the Bucks

Giannis and Turner have shared just one season together, and it did not come close to meeting expectations for Milwaukee. The Bucks struggled through a difficult year, missing the Playoffs and finishing 11th in the Eastern Conference at 32-50, which only fueled constant trade speculation and created a persistent distraction around the franchise.
“While Turner and Antetokounmpo spending another season together would be crazy, a more likely scenario would have them ending up with different teams in a multi-team deal,” the insider continued.

Turner posted 11.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 44.0 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three during the 2025 to 26 season, marking a noticeable drop compared to his earlier run in Indiana. Over 10 seasons with the Pacers, he averaged 14.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals, and 2.2 blocks per game while shooting 49.9 percent overall and 36.2 percent from beyond the arc.
Beyond the on court struggles, concerns about accountability and professionalism reportedly contributed to Milwaukee’s disappointing season, and the situation appears to have tested Antetokounmpo’s patience.
While he may have once envisioned spending his entire career with the Bucks, the team’s internal issues have only intensified questions about the franchise’s future, particularly after Turner publicly criticized aspects of Antetokounmpo’s leadership.
