Dusty Garza posted the video on X. Viewers have watched it more than five million times, generating hundreds of reactions.
“Wemby is getting held all game and then when he reacts, people want him tossed. If refs were calling the holds, he wouldn’t be as frustrated. KAT especially is holding,” one fan said.
“But when the spurs hold jerseys, no one tosses them violently. What gives spurs fans?” a user wrote.
“It was obvious frustration. He can do better but that kid gets a lot of nonsense thrown his way,” posted another.
“Wemby over reacted to that! He could’ve got Brunson seriously injured, or got himself ejected out of the game for this… “Jersey grabbing” is not something new especially at that level, Wemby himself does it,” a reaction read.
“I don’t think people realize how much Brunson flops. He tries on almost every play. He moves unnaturally trying to look like he gets fouled. He’s Passive Aggressive SGA,” one fan commented.
“Yeah except everyone is doing it so it is not unique to Brunson. Not saying you are implying that,” a comment read.
