Xiaomi launches new 13kg washer dryer with electrolytic cleaning and HyperOS controls

Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro

Xiaomi has released a new washer-dryer combo in China, and it comes with a very long name: the Mijia Washing Machine Pro Extreme Edition Super Electrolytic Smart Dosing Washer Dryer 13kg. It is currently available for pre-order on Xiaomi Youpin for 4199 yuan (about $618).

Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro

Mijia Washing Machine Pro 13kg Specifications

The machine is built for larger households, offering a 13kg washing capacity and a 9kg drying capacity. According to Xiaomi, this is enough room to wash bulky items like heavy curtains, multiple bedding sets, or up to 65 T-shirts in a single load.

Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro

The primary feature of this model is its electrolysis technology. Instead of relying solely on water temperature and detergent, the machine generates activated oxygen molecules to help break down dirt. Xiaomi says this process is designed to handle difficult stains, such as soy sauce or blood, without leaving chemical residue on the fabric. The company also says that the system can help brighten white clothing and prevent colors from bleeding during mixed loads.

Regarding cleaning performance, the washer has a wash ratio of 1.3, which is higher than the standard baseline rating of 1.03. For hygiene, it uses a combination of high-temperature steam and electrolyzed cold water to reduce bacteria, viruses, and dust mites.

Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro

For daily use, the washer features an automatic dispensing system. Once the detergent and softener reservoirs are filled, the machine automatically releases the appropriate amount for each cycle based on the load’s weight and soil level. The tanks hold enough liquid for about a month of typical use.

There are 31 wash programs available, including specific settings for wool, down jackets, and pet hair. There is also an air wash mode that uses steam to remove odors and wrinkles without a full water cycle. For faster results, a quick wash setting can complete a standard cycle in 36 minutes.

Xiaomi Mijia Washing Machine Pro

Like most Xiaomi appliances, the washer connects to the Mi Home app via the company’s HyperOS ecosystem. This allows users to start cycles remotely, check how much time is left, or schedule a wash for later in the day. It also supports voice commands through compatible smart speakers and receives software updates over the air.

In related news, Xiaomi has recently introduced a new instant hot water dispenser with a built-in ice maker capable of producing over 40 ice cubes at a time, alongside delivering hot water in just three seconds. The company has also launched a new AI-powered split air conditioner that supports rapid 15-second cooling.

Asus launches Snapdragon X-powered VM441 AiO PC with 23.8-inch touchscreen

Asus VM441 AiO

The Snapdragon X processors have mostly been found in laptops so far, but Asus is trying something different. The company just released the Asus VM441 in India, and it’s an all-in-one (AiO) desktop built around the ARM-based Snapdragon X chip.

Asus VM441 AiO

Asus VM441 AiO Specifications

The idea is to offer a basic, quiet computer for a home office or living room. Because the Snapdragon chip doesn’t generate as much heat as typical desktop processors, Asus managed to keep the computer’s profile pretty thin.

It features a 23.8-inch 1080p touchscreen with standard specs, 300 nits of brightness, and 100% sRGB color coverage. It sits on a simple metal stand that lets you adjust the tilt, and the whole machine comes in a plain white finish.

Under the hood, it has an 8-core Snapdragon X processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and either 512GB or 1TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. Since it has the Qualcomm NPU built-in (hitting 45 TOPS), it qualifies as a Copilot Plus PC.

Asus VM441 AiO

In practical terms, that just means it can handle some local AI tasks, like blurring your background on video calls or filtering out microphone noise, without slowing down the main processor.

The port situation is decent for a home PC. On the back, you get an HDMI port, an Ethernet jack, and three USB-A ports. There is also a USB-C port and a headphone jack on the side where they are easier to reach.

For video calls, there is a 5-megapixel camera that supports Windows Hello facial login and includes a physical privacy slider. Asus also throws in a wireless mouse and keyboard, plus a copy of Microsoft Office Home 2024.

For wireless connectivity, it features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The VM441 ships with the Single Language edition of Windows 11 Home.

Asus VM441 AiO

Pricing and Availability

The Asus VM441 is available now in India. The 512GB model costs ₹1,01,990, and the 1TB version is ₹1,11,990. You can buy it online through Amazon, Flipkart, or the Asus website, as well as in physical stores like Croma.

TCL’s FFALCON launches ultra-fast 300Hz 1080p gaming monitor for under $90

TCL Thunderobot Q5AD YYDS Edition

TCL’s FFALCON brand has launched the Thunderobot Q5AD YYDS Edition monitor in China. It’s a 24.5-inch 1080p display that hits a 300Hz refresh rate for an introductory price of 599 yuan (about $88). It is a straightforward budget monitor aimed directly at people playing competitive PC shooters.

TCL Thunderobot Q5AD YYDS Edition

Thunderobot Q5AD Monitor Specifications

While 1080p isn’t exactly a premium resolution these days, a 24.5-inch 1080p screen is still the standard setup for esports. If you are playing games like Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, or Overwatch, you are likely looking for high frame rates and low latency rather than 4K visuals.

The monitor uses a Fast IPS panel manufactured by CSOT. It runs natively at 280Hz, but you can overclock it to 300Hz if you connect it via a DisplayPort cable. Thunderobot lists a 1ms gray-to-gray response time and includes some built-in overdrive and motion blur reduction settings (MPRT-Plus) to help keep fast-moving images looking clear.

TCL Thunderobot Q5AD YYDS Edition

For a budget monitor, the color specifications are decent. It supports 10-bit color (using 8-bit + FRC) and covers 99% of the sRGB color space, along with 93% of DCI-P3. Thunderobot says the monitors are factory-calibrated to a Delta E of less than 2, so the colors should be reasonably accurate right out of the box. It also has a peak brightness of 400 nits and basic HDR400 support.

The physical design is pretty basic, but it has a few practical touches for PC gaming. The stand has a small, hexagonal base, which is meant to free up desk space for larger mousepads and wide mouse movements. It only supports basic tilt adjustments (from -5° to 15°), though, so you cannot change the height or pivot the screen. To help with eye strain during longer sessions, the display uses hardware-level low blue light filtering and DC dimming to reduce screen flicker.

TCL Thunderobot Q5AD YYDS Edition

On the software side, it supports AMD FreeSync Premium and is compatible with Nvidia G-Sync to help prevent screen tearing. There are also a few built-in gaming features, like a dark scene booster to help you see in shadows and a dynamic crosshair.

The port selection is minimal but covers the basics: one DisplayPort 1.4 (which you need to use for the 300Hz refresh rate), one HDMI 2.0 port (which is capped at 240Hz), and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. You navigate the monitor’s settings using a standard five-way joystick on the back.

In related news, Thunderobot has also launched the 25Q5A gaming monitor featuring a 1080p 300Hz Mini LED display.

TCL Thunderbird 25Q5A Specifications

The monitor uses a CSOT-made Fast IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, a native 300Hz refresh rate, and support for up to 303Hz in select scenarios. It also features a 1ms GtG response time to reduce motion blur and ghosting during fast-paced gameplay.

The monitor stands out from typical budget 1080p models by using a Mini LED backlight with 84 local dimming zones, offering improved contrast and more precise brightness control. It also supports VESA DisplayHDR 600 and reaches up to 600 nits of peak brightness for enhanced HDR performance.

TCL Thunderbird 25Q5A

For color accuracy, the monitor covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut and 93% of the DCI-P3 color space. Thunderobot says that the displays are factory-calibrated to achieve a Delta E value of less than 2, ensuring standard color reproduction out of the box.

On the software and processing side, the 25Q5A supports AMD FreeSync Premium and is Nvidia G-Sync Compatible to prevent screen tearing. It also includes an MPRT-Plus smart backlight control system, which uses motion interpolation and zone-based lighting to further reduce blur.

The monitor includes a fully adjustable stand, providing 125mm of height adjustment, a -5° to 15° tilt, ±20° swivel, and ±90° pivot for vertical use. It is also compatible with standard VESA wall mounts. Connectivity is basic but functional, including HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, along with a 3.5mm audio jack.

Xiaomi launches new power-saving split air conditioner with 3-minute fast cooling

Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Giant Power Saver 2026

Xiaomi has launched a new air conditioner called Mijia Air Conditioner Giant Power Saver 2026 in the Chinese market. The AC is priced at 1899 yuan ($278) and is now listed on JD.com. It will go on sale on May 30.

Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Giant Power Saver 2026

Mijia Giant Power Saver 2026 AC Specs

The main selling point here is energy efficiency. The 2026 model has an Annual Performance Factor (APF) of 5.36, earning it a Level 1 energy efficiency rating in China. Xiaomi estimates this translates to saving about 208 kWh of electricity a year compared to older standards, which works out to roughly 124 yuan ($18) in savings annually.

To manage this, the unit uses a 9.8cc compressor, a dual-row evaporator, and a 108mm cross-flow fan. It can push up to 760 cubic meters of air per hour, and Xiaomi says it takes about three minutes to reach a target temperature in a standard room.

The AC runs on Xiaomi’s Mijia Lingyun control engine, which uses cloud-based learning to adjust how it cools or heats based on your habits. For example, it can tweak the temperature automatically while you sleep to save power and keep the room comfortable. It connects to the Mijia app and supports Xiaomi’s HyperOS Connect for integration with other smart home devices.

Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Giant Power Saver 2026

Like a lot of modern hardware, it also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates. Xiaomi says it will continue to tweak the energy-saving algorithms and add features over time. There is also a built-in diagnostic system that runs 122 different checks. If the filter needs cleaning or the refrigerant is running low, the app will send a notification before the unit actually stops working.

For maintenance, the AC has a self-cleaning function that washes and then dries the internal components at 58 degrees Celsius to prevent mold and bacteria. It is also built to handle a wide range of temperatures, operating in outdoor environments as cold as -35 degrees Celsius or as hot as 60 degrees Celsius. When running quietly at night, the indoor unit’s noise level drops to 18 decibels.

In related news, Xiaomi has recently launched a new AI-powered split air conditioner called Mijia Air Conditioner Powerful Wind Pro.

Ugreen launches M3 Bluetooth speaker with 20W audio, water drainage tech & 20h battery life

Ugreen M3 Bluetooth speaker

Ugreen has released a new portable Bluetooth speaker in China called the M3. It is currently listed on the retailer JD.com for 249 yuan ($36) and is designed primarily for outdoor use. While it shares a lot of similarities with other rugged speakers on the market, it includes a specific feature to deal with getting wet: a water drainage system that uses sound to clear out the grille.

Ugreen M3 Bluetooth speaker

Ugreen M3 Speaker Specifications

If the speaker gets splashed by a pool or left out in light rain, you can open Ugreen’s companion app and turn on a dedicated drainage mode. The speaker will then generate high-frequency vibrations, up to 400 times per minute, to physically push trapped water out of the hardware. It is a practical approach to water exposure, working alongside the device’s standard IP66 rating for dust and water resistance.

Physically, the M3 weighs 653 grams, which is light enough to throw in a backpack for camping or a beach trip. It comes in two colors, Starry Black and Champagne Gold, and includes a hidden RGB light strip at the bottom. The lights can be set to solid colors, a breathing effect, or synced to your music. There is also an SOS mode that flashes the lights and plays a warning sound in case of an emergency.

Ugreen M3 Bluetooth speaker
Ugreen M3 Bluetooth speaker

For audio, the M3 uses a 20W triple-driver setup. This includes specific drivers for high and mid-low frequencies, plus a passive radiator to handle the bass. Ugreen says it uses digital signal processing (DSP) and its own bass enhancement software to keep the low-end frequencies audible even when you have the volume turned down. The company says the speaker can reach a sound pressure level of 105dB.

On the connectivity side, the speaker supports Bluetooth 6.0 and LE Audio. It also supports Auracast, meaning you can sync the audio with over 100 compatible devices, or you can just pair two M3 speakers together for standard left-and-right stereo sound.

Ugreen M3 Bluetooth speaker

The speaker runs on a 2,500mAh battery. Ugreen estimates it will last up to 20 hours on a single charge, provided you keep the volume at a moderate level and leave the RGB lighting turned off. It charges via a standard USB-C port. It also features a built-in microphone for phone calls and voice chats.

In related news, Ugreen recently launched a 160W GaN fast charger with five ports and a smart display, alongside a new 45W 10,000mAh power bank featuring a built-in cable and integrated smart screen.

Edifier launches S260 retro Bluetooth speaker with 65W RMS output, LDAC & AirPlay 2

Edifier S260 Speaker

Edifier has announced a new desktop speaker, the S260, which goes on sale in China today for 1,059 yuan (roughly $156). The pitch here is pretty straightforward: it’s a speaker that looks like a piece of vintage hi-fi equipment but includes current wireless standards like AirPlay 2 and LDAC support.

Edifier S260 Speaker

Edifier S260 Speaker Specifications

Physically, the S260 leans heavily into an older aesthetic. The cabinet is made from medium-density fiberboard (MDF) to help reduce acoustic resonance, paired with an 18mm thick front baffle and a woven grille.

On top, there is a CNC-machined aluminum control panel that includes physical mechanical toggle switches and metal knobs for adjusting volume and playback. It’s a fairly heavy unit, weighing in at 4.07kg (about 9 pounds). You can get it in three colors: Black Walnut, Pearl White, and Warm Brown.

Edifier S260 Speaker

Inside the cabinet, the hardware is standard for a modern desktop setup. It uses a 4-inch aluminum diaphragm mid-bass driver alongside two 25-core titanium dome tweeters. According to Edifier, the tweeters can push high frequencies up to 40kHz, while the woofer handles bass down to 50Hz.

The system is powered by dual Texas Instruments TAS5805 digital amplifiers. It outputs 65W RMS, with a peak power of 130W. Edifier also claims a low distortion level of 0.03% and a signal-to-noise ratio of 107dB(A), with audio processing handled by a built-in DSP chip.

Edifier S260 Speaker

The connectivity options are where the speaker becomes more practical for everyday use. It has both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications. It supports the LDAC codec, allowing for higher-resolution streaming over Bluetooth (up to 990kbps).

It also includes Apple AirPlay 2 support over 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, which is useful if you want to stream audio directly from an iPhone or Mac. The Bluetooth 5.4 connection supports dual-device pairing, so you can keep a phone and a computer connected at the same time and switch between them.

Edifier S260 Speaker

If you prefer to plug things in, the S260 has an AUX analog input and a USB sound card input, making it easy to connect to a PC or a turntable. It also comes with a small remote control and works with Edifier’s mobile app, where you can adjust the EQ, switch inputs, and update the firmware.

In related news, GOBOULT has recently unveiled new Mustang series speakers with Marshall-inspired styling at affordable prices, while Portronics has introduced the Strings smart speaker with a built-in alarm clock and wireless charging support.

Ugreen launches new 45W 10,000mAh power bank with built-in cable & smart display

Ugreen-45W-Power-Bank

Ugreen is releasing a new 45W power bank (PB610) in China, and it includes a few practical hardware additions alongside a customizable color screen. Listed on JD.com for 199 yuan ($29) ahead of a May 26th release, the 10,000mAh battery pack tries to reduce the number of accessories you need to carry by integrating a built-in USB-C cable directly into the device.

Ugreen 45W Power Bank

Ugreen 45W Power Bank Specifications

The main draw here is the 1.47-inch smart screen on the front. If you like to monitor your hardware, the display shows real-time data like total output power, battery temperature, remaining charge percentage, and overall battery health. If you don’t care about the exact wattage, you can connect the power bank to Ugreen’s mobile app via Bluetooth and upload custom images or emojis to display instead. It is a minor feature, but it gives a normally boring utilitarian accessory a bit of personality.

Ugreen 45W Power Bank

Physically, the device is a fairly standard size for a 10,000mAh battery, measuring 109 x 58.5 x 25.5mm and weighing about 239 grams. Ugreen went with a silver finish and included a built-in USB-C cable with contrasting red accents. The cable loops around to function as a carrying strap, which is a practical design choice if you prefer not to carry a separate wire when you leave the house.

Inside the casing, the power bank uses two 5000mAh 21700 cylindrical steel shell battery cells. Ugreen says it also includes an upgraded NTC temperature-control chip that monitors heat levels regularly to maintain safe temperatures during charging.

Ugreen 45W Power Bank

For connectivity, the power bank has a 2C + 1A configuration: the built-in USB-C cable, a standard USB-C port, and a USB-A port. Both the built-in cable and the USB-C port max out at 45W, which is enough to fast-charge most modern phones and power smaller tablets. The USB-A port tops out at 22.5W. You can plug in three devices at once, though the charging speeds will naturally drop as the 45W maximum output is divided among the active ports.

Ugreen 45W Power Bank

Ugreen claims the 45W output can charge an iPhone 17 Pro Max to 65% in half an hour. It lists similar 30-minute charging numbers for the Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max (52%) and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max (43%). Because it supports standard fast-charging protocols, it is compatible with standard Apple and Android devices, as well as smaller electronics like the Nintendo Switch, wireless earbuds, and portable cameras.

Right now, the power bank is only listed for the Chinese market. Ugreen hasn’t announced a global release date yet, but the company regularly brings its charging accessories to the US and Europe, so it is highly likely to show up on international storefronts eventually.

In related news, Ugreen has also launched a new portable GaN charger featuring an angled display design and a contrasting red base.
