The upcoming Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G has now surfaced through early design renders and leaked specifications, offering a first glimpse at what the brand is planning next. Here is a closer look at what has emerged so far.

The Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G appears to build on the visual identity of its predecessor while introducing subtle refinements. On the front, the device is expected to feature a curved-edge AMOLED display that gives it a more premium look and feel. This panel is tipped to measure 6.78 inches and deliver a 1.5K resolution, offering an upgrade over the Full HD+ display found on the previous generation. The screen is also said to support a 144Hz refresh rate.

The rear design continues with a bold, geometric approach. The leaked render reveals a triangular camera module that houses a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens, along with an LED flash. Adding to the visual appeal is a contrasting black triangular insert positioned at the bottom-right corner of the rear panel, giving the device an industrial, gamer-inspired accent.

Powering the Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G is expected to be the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, which is yet to be officially announced. The phone is likely to be offered in multiple memory configurations, including 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and a higher-end 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option. On the software side, the device is expected to run Android 16 with Tecno’s HiOS 16 skin layered on top.

One of the biggest highlights is the reported 8,000mAh battery, which could set a new benchmark for battery capacity in the mid-range segment. Charging support is said to top out at 45W. Additional features tipped for the phone include an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, an infrared blaster, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

For context, the original Pova Curve 5G launched in India at Rs 15,999 (~$180), suggesting that the Curve 2 5G could arrive with a similar pricing.

Exynos 5410 modem to bring multi-satellite support to the Galaxy S26 lineup

Exynos 5410

Last week, Samsung unveiled that its upcoming Exynos 2600 flagship chipset, which will power the upcoming Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus, will arrive without an integrated modem, marking a clear shift in its silicon strategy. To address this change, Samsung has now announced the Exynos Modem 5410, a new standalone connectivity solution designed to work alongside the processor and define how future Galaxy devices stay connected.

Exynos Modem 5410 promises enhanced connectivity

Exynos 5410
Exynos 5410

The all-new Exynos Modem 5410 is a standalone modem designed to pair with next-generation flagship processors. Built on a 4nm EUV process, the modem supports 3GPP Release 17 and delivers download speeds of up to 14.79Gbps through combined sub-6GHz and mmWave connectivity.

Its most notable feature is integrated satellite communication, bringing together LTE Direct-to-Cell, NB-IoT NTN, and NR-NTN on a single chip. This allows voice calls, text messaging, location sharing, and even video communication in areas with no terrestrial network coverage.

Beyond speed and coverage, Samsung has focused heavily on security. The modem supports Hybrid Post-Quantum Cryptography, ensuring sensitive data such as device identifiers remain protected against future quantum-based threats. By separating the modem from the main processor, Samsung can also manage heat more effectively while allowing each component to be optimized independently.

The Exynos 2600 is Samsung’s first 2nm flagship processor and is expected to power select Galaxy S26 models. By removing the integrated modem, Samsung has freed up silicon space for the CPU, NPU, and AMD-based GPU, prioritizing performance, efficiency, and advanced on-device AI.

Oppo Reno 15 series

Oppo recently confirmed details such as the design, build, and display of the Reno 15 series, which is expected to launch in multiple markets, including India, in January 2026. Recently, two Reno 15 series models were spotted with the Dimensity 8450 chip on Geekbench, revealing their chipsets. Now, the base Reno 15 has appeared on the same benchmarking platform, revealing the chipset it will come equipped with.

The above screenshot reveals that an upcoming Oppo smartphone with the model number CPH2825 has surfaced on Geekbench. According to previously seen certification listings, this device will carry the Oppo Reno 15 moniker when it hits the global market.

This device has been spotted with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Although the chip’s name is not directly mentioned, the CPU configuration and GPU information available in its metadata offer clear hints that it is equipped with Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 7-series chip.

The Geekbench listing further reveals 12GB of RAM and Android 16. It scored 1,192 and 3,694 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively, which is consistent with what the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 can offer.

The inclusion of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 suggests that the Oppo Reno 15 could be a rebranded version of the Reno 15c, which debuted earlier this month in China. The 15c features a 6.59-inch OLED LTPS 1.5K 120Hz screen and a 50-megapixel sensor in its selfie camera cut-out.

The back panel of the device houses a 50-megapixel (Sony LYT-700) main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel (Sony IMX355) ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel (Samsung JN5) telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. It packs a 6,500mAh battery with 80W wired charging but lacks support for wireless charging.

The Reno 15c is also equipped with features such as an in-screen fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor, an IR blaster, and an IP68/69-rated body with a metal middle frame. Lastly, it runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
