Star Voyager Launches New Southeast Asia Cruises with Destinations in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia

There are plans underway by StarCruises to provide tourists with an opportunity to experience an array of voyages on its cruise liner, the Star Voyager, in the coming May and June 2026. Some of the new destinations being offered by the company include those in Southeast Asia. Starting in Singapore, as well as Kuala Lumpur through Port Klang, these cruises will give tourists an opportunity to explore the countries of Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The duration of these cruises will vary from two to five nights, with the earliest being on May 22 and the last being on June 26.

Diverse Cruise Offerings Across Southeast Asia

The new itineraries have been designed to offer travelers a broad range of experiences, from relaxing beach getaways to cultural explorations. The Star Voyager will visit a mix of well-established destinations, including Penang, Phuket, and Bali, while also introducing exciting new ports of call that are likely to attract adventurous travelers looking for fresh and unique destinations. Among the new ports are Con Son Island in Vietnam, Tioman Island in Malaysia, and the popular Bali and Lombok in Indonesia.

The cruise program offers a wide selection of departures with varying durations to suit different traveler preferences. Whether you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway or a more extensive journey across multiple countries, there are options for all types of tourists.

New Destinations Offer Fresh Travel Experiences

The addition of new ports brings added appeal for repeat cruisers and new visitors alike. In particular, the inclusion of Con Son Island, Tioman, Bali, and Lombok adds an element of discovery for those seeking a mix of pristine nature and cultural immersion.

Con Son Island, located in Vietnam, is a hidden gem with a rich history and unique landscapes, offering a combination of beach resorts and cultural exploration. Tioman Island, known for its crystal-clear waters and lush tropical forests, will attract nature lovers and those interested in diving and snorkeling in its vibrant marine ecosystems.

Meanwhile, Bali and Lombok are perfect for those who want to explore the serene beaches and vibrant local culture of Indonesia. Bali’s Benoa harbor is a gateway to the island’s renowned beauty, from its lush jungles to its famous temples. Lombok offers a quieter alternative, with stunning beaches and a laid-back atmosphere. These new destinations are expected to contribute significantly to the region’s growing cruise tourism sector.

Expanded Itineraries Catering to Different Travel Interests

The May and June itineraries include sailings from both Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, offering passengers the chance to explore Southeast Asia’s best offerings. Guests can choose between a variety of themed cruises, each highlighting the diverse destinations of the region.

From Kuala Lumpur, the Star Voyager will offer a three-night Phuket-Penang cruise, as well as two-night cruises to Phuket on May 25 and May 27. These short sailings are perfect for those looking to experience the culture and beaches of Thailand and Malaysia.

For travelers looking to immerse themselves in Southeast Asia’s more exotic destinations, the Star Voyager will also be offering longer cruises from Singapore. These include five-night sailings to Bali and Lombok on May 31 and June 14. These cruises allow for a deeper exploration of Indonesia’s stunning islands, offering guests a chance to visit both Bali’s bustling tourist spots and Lombok’s tranquil beaches.

In addition to these, the Star Voyager will offer Vietnam-focused itineraries that explore the country’s coastline. The five-night Vietnam cruises, departing on June 7 and June 21, will visit Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Con Son Island, providing a glimpse of the country’s diverse landscapes and vibrant cities.

For those seeking a tropical retreat, four two-night cruises to Tioman will be available, departing from Singapore every Friday in June. These cruises promise an idyllic escape, featuring lush forests, crystal-clear waters, and a chance to unwind on some of the region’s most beautiful beaches.

Special One-Way Cruises Provide Additional Options

In addition to the regular itineraries, StarCruises will also operate special one-way voyages, allowing guests to tailor their travel experience. A Hong Kong to Nha Trang cruise, followed by a continuation to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, will be offered as a one-way journey, with multiple embarkation points along the way. This gives guests the flexibility to choose their starting point and enjoy a customized cruise experience.

Additionally, there will be a five-night cruise departing from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang before reaching Hong Kong. This extended cruise will offer travelers the unique experience of exploring both Vietnam and Hong Kong in one seamless journey.

Boost to Southeast Asia’s Tourism and Economic Impact

The introduction of these new itineraries is expected to provide a significant boost to tourism in Southeast Asia. As cruise tourism continues to rise in popularity, the Star Voyager will contribute to the growth of local economies by drawing international visitors to lesser-known destinations, while reinforcing the tourism infrastructure in more well-known regions such as Bali and Phuket. As a result, these cruises will not only provide an exceptional travel experience for tourists but will also help sustain economic growth in the region, providing jobs and supporting the development of tourism-related businesses.
