The Galaxy S26 Ultraβs 25W charging secret just slipped out
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra supports 25W wireless charging, and the component maker has now revealed a structural redesign and gains.
According to ETNews, Samsung is sourcing the Galaxy S26 Ultra wireless charging system from Witz. The component manufacturer has now made an official announcement and disclosed the changes and improvements.
Witz is responsible for supplying wireless charging RX (receiving) modules for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The upgraded module brings the fastest wireless charging technology ever on a Samsung smartphone.
Galaxy S26 and S26+ feature 20W wireless charging, whereas the Galaxy S26 Ultra supports 25W. The difference isnβt that significant, but the area where this improvement has been made is itself significant.
Witz revealed that it redesigned the system to achieve heat management and power stability. Faster wireless charging had two issues, including overheating and unstable power delivery, but the vendor overcame both.
Additionally, the revamped product helps in maintaining a slim form factor. This suggests strategic execution by Samsung and Witz. The Galaxy S26 Ultraβs thickness has been reduced by 0.3mm as compared to its predecessor.
An official from Witz stated:
βWe are encouraged to be able to supply our wireless charging RX modules for the key model assigned the largest production share within this series.β
Samsung officially confirmed the Galaxy S26 series doesnβt bring built-in magnets. You can still enable Qi2 charging by using specific cases. The feature is still under consideration and will be applied when stability is met internally.
