I won’t miss the Titanium Galaxy S26 Ultra

3 February 2026 at 17:56

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will launch soon, and it is expected that this flagship will not come with titanum frame, which may not be a big deal for the majority of customers. Here’s a history lesson of this short-lived titanium reign.

In 2023, Apple released iPhone 15 Pro models, the first in line to use a titanium design. Titanium, known for its strong and lightweight composition, is becoming the perfect choice for the next-gen iPhone.

The company followed this design practice with the iPhone 16 in 2024. However, the iPhone 17 Pro made it obsolete, returning to aluminum alloy.

Apple said the new design is space-efficient and is more thermal performance-friendly, but there was a twist. The new design consists of a plateau, which enables Apple to shift some important electronic components inside, making space for a larger battery life.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra Comparison

There is a reason we are taking this crash course: In the following year of Apple’s Titanium debut, Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 Ultra, with a titanium body, the first ever among Galaxy devices. In 2025, Samsung launched the S25 Ultra with the same composition. Yet reports are indicating that Samsung is likely to close a chapter on titanium, similar to Apple.

Early leaks about the design suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will return to aluminum. As you should know, Samsung has been using this material all the way to the S23 Ultra.

Following Apple’s trend, this year should be the time for Samsung to do the same. However, Apple’s decision was justified through its spec upgrade, but Samsung may struggle on this front. Especially the battery, which may remain at 5,000mAh.

So, what could be the difference maker here? Three things: an aluminum frame may help the company to improve the frame molding and reduce frame borders around the bezels for a sleek look. The second is to produce a more vibrant color than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Third could be a better heat dissipation system for better thermal management.

This news remains unconfirmed, but press renders leak are in favor of excluding this design trait at least from this new smartphone.

I’ve held the Galaxy S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, and S25 Ultra. The latter phones bring a more premium finish and a better in-hand experience than the former two. However, that’s the only thing that separates the S24U and S25U from their predecessors.

Ultimately, consumers won’t mind holding an aluminum Galaxy S26 Ultra if Samsung can justify removing the titanium and adding important hardware upgrades.

Galaxy S26 Ultra colors leak again, but bolder options still unseen

By:Yash
3 February 2026 at 13:22

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will launch in four bold colors and at least two online exclusive shades. A fresh leak brings back the flagship’s color options to headlines, but two more rumored colors remain to be seen.

Newly leaked Galaxy S26 Ultra images showcase the device in its four standard colors, including Cobalt Violet, Black, White and Sky Blue. The device could be available in two more shades, namely “Pink Gold” and “Silver Shadow.”

After AndroidHeadlines, Russian retailer Cifrus.ru (via SammyGuru) also revealed official pictures of Samsung’s upcoming flagship. The retailer has also listed a 128GB model of the S26U, which was nothing but a technical error.

Moments after listing the device, Cifrus.ru pulled the webpage. The listing is no longer there, but the visual assets have been grabbed early. Colors that are missing in renders could be sold as Samsung.com-exclusive variants.

Just recently, an online listing brought disappointing news for fans. It looks like Samsung hasn’t installed Qi2 magnets inside the devices. Users would be required to purchase compatible accessories to utilize Qi2 charging.

If it happens, Pixel 10 will remain the only Android device with Qi2 charging. Samsung is widely rumored to bring Qi2 charging to the Galaxy S26 series; meanwhile, things may not turn out the way everyone has anticipated.

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series could hit market shelves on March 11. Before release, the devices will officially be unveiled on February 25. The event is set to take place in San Francisco, and an official livestream will be available for fans.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could be more expensive in 2026

3 February 2026 at 02:36

Samsung’s new phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, could cost more than last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra. The main reason is that the price of important parts like RAM (memory) and storage has gone up. These higher costs are affecting many electronics, and now smartphones are being affected too.

Reports say the Galaxy S26 Ultra could cost about 6% more than the S25 Ultra. The S25 Ultra started at $1,299.99 for the 256GB model. With a 6% increase, the S26 Ultra could cost around $1,377.

So, the price might be between $1,350 and $1,400. In South Korea, the new phone could be 1.8 million Won, up from 1.69 million Won for the previous model.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera

Samsung has not officially announced the price or the release date yet. These numbers are only estimates. It is possible that Samsung could keep the price the same, but because memory and storage are more expensive now, it is more likely the company will charge a bit more. Other phones in the Galaxy S26 series might also cost more.

For buyers, this means flagship phones in 2026 could be a little more expensive. The main reason is that modern phones need faster memory and more storage, which costs more to make. Small price increases like this are becoming common as phones get better and more advanced.

Even though Samsung hasn’t shared the official price yet, it seems very likely that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will cost more than the S25 Ultra. Buyers should expect a small price increase when the new phone launches later this year.

Galaxy S26 Ultra leaks intensify as official renders, promo image, specifications emerge

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra promo

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is gradually coming into focus as fresh leaks shed light on its design and core hardware. Android Headlines recently shared official-looking renders along with key details, and shortly after, well-known leaker Evan Blass posted what appears to be the first promotional image, reinforcing several earlier claims.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra design and colour variants revealed

According to Android Headlines, the Galaxy S26 Ultra adopts a flat design language with slimmer, uniform bezels surrounding a large display. The renders show the phone in Cobalt Violet and Black, offering a closer look at what seems to be the final retail finish. The front features a centred hole-punch camera, while the frame appears flat with softly rounded corners, giving the device a cleaner and more balanced profile than its predecessor.

On the rear, Samsung appears to have moved away from individually protruding lenses. Instead, the cameras sit on a unified island positioned in the top-left corner. While the camera housing still protrudes, it looks more refined and structured. The S Pen is clearly visible in the renders, confirming that Samsung continues to position stylus support as a defining feature of the Ultra lineup. Additional colours are expected at launch, but visuals are currently limited to these two variants.

Shown below is a promotional image shared by Evan Blass, showcasing the Galaxy S26 Ultra in its signature Cobalt Violet shade.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra specifications (rumored)

According to the publication, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display and ship with Android 16-based One UI 8.5. Powering the device could be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with at least 256GB storage. The phone is tipped to measure 7.9mm in thickness, weigh around 214 grams, and pack a 5,000mAh battery with wireless power sharing.

Camera hardware is said to include a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. A 12-megapixel front camera is also expected.

Samsung is likely to unveil the Galaxy S26 Ultra along with the S26, S26+, and Galaxy Buds 4 series through the Feb. 25’s Galaxy Unpacked event.

Samsung’s 2026 S Pen for Galaxy S26 Ultra out

2 February 2026 at 18:12

Samsung is preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and a new leak has revealed details about its S Pen stylus. The leak gives an early look at the stylus design and some official accessories expected to arrive with the phone. The information has been shared by NieuweMobiel.nl.

The Korean tech giant appears to be introducing a new two-tone design for the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s S Pen. Most of the stylus body comes in either black or white, which makes up nearly 90 percent of the pen. The top part of the S Pen, which remains visible when stored inside the phone, matches the color of the device.

The leaked images show four color options that are expected to match the Galaxy S26 Ultra finishes. These include Cobalt Violet, Shadow Black, White Shadow, and Galactical Blue. This design helps the S Pen blend smoothly with the phone and keeps a clean, simple look.

Samsung will continue to offer familiar S Pen features. The stylus will include a physical button on the side and a clickable top. However, Bluetooth support is not making a return. This means features like Air Actions and gesture controls will not be available on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Display

Samsung’s displays are always best-in-class, and the S26 Ultra aims to continue that legacy.

  • Size: 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED.
  • Refresh rate: 120Hz refresh rate, touch sampling rate will increase.
  • Brightness: Peak brightness is rumored to remain unchanged at 2,600 nits.
  • Protection: It’s expected to use the next-generation Corning Gorilla Glass Armor.
  • New Feature: The most exciting feature is the “Privacy Display” technology based on “Flex Magic Pixel.”

Performance

Galaxy S26 Ultra will use Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, a chipset tailored for Samsung flagships. The chip will be manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process technology, offering significant gains in CPU, GPU, and especially NPU.

A key rumor indicates the S26 Ultra will be one of the first phones to use new LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 10.7Gbps. This is a substantial speed bump from the 8.5Gbps RAM in the S25 Ultra, offering various improvements.

Camera

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be paired with:

  • A 200MP Wide (primary) sensor with f/1.4 aperture.
  • A 50MP Ultrawide lens (1/2.52-inch sensor size).

A dual-telephoto system.

The device may use a new telephoto camera with 10MP resolution, trimmed down from a 12MP lens, featuring 3x optical zoom at a 1/3.94-inch sensor size, smaller than the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 1/3.52-inch image sensor.

Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a 50MP periscope with a 1/2.52-inch sensor size. This camera will offer 5x optical zoom capabilities and enhanced light intake as compared to its predecessor, the S25 Ultra.

The bigger punch-hole:

  • Recent rumors suggest it will stick with a 12MP punch-hole but will make the cutout larger. This is allegedly to house a new lens with a wider 85-degree field-of-view (up from 80), allowing for better group selfies.

Battery and charging

This is the upgrade users have been requesting for years. Samsung isn’t bringing a capacity upgrade to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The battery will remain 5,000mAh, but the wired and wireless charging will upgrade to 60W and 25W, respectively.

Samsung’s Initial Production Run Confirms The Base Galaxy S26 Will Not Sell Well, The Galaxy S26 Ultra Remains The Champ

2 February 2026 at 15:22

Galaxy S26 Ultra to have an upgraded primary camera

Samsung has reserved around three-quarters of the Galaxy S26 series' initial production run for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which constitutes an indirect admission of sorts on the part of the South Korean tech behemoth that the other two variants in the lineup won't attract a lot of consumer interest. The lopsided initial production run of the Galaxy S26 series: Galaxy S26 Ultra gets 3.6 million units, while the base S26 and S26+ will have to make do with a cumulative initial volume of just 1.3 million units As per the latest tidbit from Ice Universe, Samsung has planned an initial […]

Galaxy S26 Ultra is the only phone Samsung truly believes in

By:Yash
2 February 2026 at 14:19

Samsung is indeed bringing three Galaxy S26 series models, but the focus is only on one phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The unpacking is set for February 25, and fans will be able to grab their ones starting March 11, 2026.

Last month, a Korean media outlet revealed the initial production volumes of the S26 series models, led by S26 Ultra. Now, tipster IceUniverse shared production numbers, which also signal the supremacy of the Galaxy S26 Ultra phone.

In the initial batch, the Korean tech giant is producing 600,000 units of Galaxy S26 Plus and 700,000 units of the base Galaxy S26. The Galaxy S26 Ultra production is on another level, targeting 3.6 million units.

That said, the initial production target of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is over 5x of the Galaxy S26 standard model and nearly 6x of the Plus version. It’s nothing special, but confidence in the top tier of the upcoming Ultra version.

Samsung’s decision is based on practicality.

Over the past couple of years, Samsung’s Ultra-branded flagship has dominated sales in the entire lineup. The standard and Plus versions target specific needs, like portability and big screen without a bulky phablet form factor.

Galaxy S26 Ultra is a bit different. Samsung is positioning it as a flagship smartphone, rather than a phablet like Galaxy Note. The sharp corners have already gone, and innovative technologies are pumping the hype for huge sales.

Samsung’s bringing Privacy Display tech to the Galaxy S26 series along with a new 12-megapixel Telephoto camera. The charging speeds are upgrading too, with wired hitting 60W and wireless hitting 25W with Qi2 standard.

All in all, Samsung wants to sell Galaxy S26 Ultra without dumping the other two. Which Galaxy S26 model would you consider purchasing this year?

S Pen will make a big sacrifice for Galaxy S26 Ultra

1 February 2026 at 15:27

It’s now confirmed that Samsung will change the S Pen design to shift shape with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and it may change the look and feel of this unique accessory.

Initially, the S Pen was associated with the Galaxy Note series. With the Note series out of the league, the Galaxy S-series adopted this innovative feature and took it to the next-level through the Ultra flagship.

Besides being only a stylus accessory, the S-Pen had Air actions, allowing users to control playback and take photographs from a distance. However, the S25 Ultra removed the Bluetooth functionality. That said, the S Pen is once again working as a creative stylus rather than a wireless accessory.

Galaxy s26 Ultra and S25 Ultra S Pen stylus

In my Galaxy S25 Ultra vs S24 Ultra S Pen comparison, I’ve detailed new upgrades. Similarly, I’ve also spotted a few changes in the S26 Ultra’s S Pen in the recent leaked renders.

For the first time, the S Pen will get an arc-shaped press and release button head. Despite it being limited to an in-and-out mechanism, the design is unconventional and reminds me of the Galaxy Note 2.

The arc-shaped head is a corresponding change to the higher radius in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The corners now have a more rounded look than the previous generation.

You see, traditionally, Note devices always had a boxy design, especially the frame. Allowing Samsung to offer a flat-out frame. This situation remained the same with the Galaxy S22 and later devices. However, that is no longer the case with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, as it is chasing a modern design.

It also appears that the press and release buttons may have a slightly reduced width or length. While the S-Pen may retain its overall height, it could further cut the width from the S25 Ultra. This change heavily alters its appearance over the previous version.

I’ve added a side-by-side comparison of the leaked S-Pen renders for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and angles suggest that these observations may be accurate. Still, a real device exposure may unveil more changes than these. Meanwhile, uncovering more secrets about the new S-Pen accessories.

I’ll bring a side-by-side comparison after the device is launched later this month.

Galaxy S26 Ultra vs S25 Ultra: Every new design upgrade

1 February 2026 at 12:58

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra leaks are intensifying, and a closer look at its official press renders gave us a chance to compare the newest design upgrades to the S25 Ultra.

When it comes to appearance, Samsung is drawing criticism for an iPhone-like approach. Retaining the majority of the characteristics, while making procedural changes. This approach has been consistent in the previous Galaxy Ultra releases as well as on the standard and Plus models.

Once again, the Korean phone maker will follow this minimalistic design upgrade policy for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Below, you can check the breakdown of things that you may find different from the previous generation.

Front

The front is almost identical to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, except for a few refinements. First is the punch hole. The new phone has a larger selfie camera housing, which indicates a camera upgrade, but specifics are unknown.

On the other hand, the renders show that the frame width around bezels is slightly reduced, making it appear less wide than the S25 Ultra. It could improve the front view for a full-screen view.

Another adjustment falls onto the corners, they have more radius, thus making the entire device look round. Check the image below to understand the new change.

Galaxy S26 Ultra S25 Ultra Design

Sides

The left side remains plain, while the right side has power and volume adjustment keys. The bottom side has a USB-C port, speakers, and an S-Pen slot.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and S25 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (left) and S25 Ultra (right)

Rear

The back panel has a new camera design, featuring a vertical pill-shaped camera bump, housing triple camera rings arranged in the same formation. These are the main, ultra-wide, and a primary telephoto camera.

On the right side, you will see two other camera openings, one of which belongs to the 3X telephoto zoom. The left-hand array has removed those black glued rings for a stable design, thanks to the bump addition.

Conclusion

Overall, it appears to be a nice upgrade, but a real-photograph or higher quality visuals may paint a different picture.

This flagship will use a new chipset – Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, providing optimum performance and a boost for on-device AI features. The camera will see new optimizations in photo and video segments for higher quality outputs.

The battery may not see an upgrade this year, but the charging could reach up to 60W for the S26 Ultra. Based on the latest leaks, the Galaxy S26 series will launch on February 25, 2026, at the Unpacked event.

Official Galaxy S26 Ultra promo leaks in its signature color

By:Yash
1 February 2026 at 10:22

Samsung, last week, began creating hype for the Unpacked event. As February begins today, the launch month of the Galaxy S26 series, leaker Evan Blass revealed the first official promo image of the Ultra version in its signature color.

Insider Evan Blass (@evleaks) leaked the Galaxy S26 Ultra official promo image, showing the device in its UltraViolet (Cobalt Violet) signature color.

Similar to the leaked CAD renders, the official promotional image confirms the adoption of a prominent camera bump on the back. The sensor alignment remains unchanged; Samsung just surrounded three big rings with an island.

The camera bump itself is a masterpiece. The thickness is much and that’s why Samsung has bumped it in two layers. The dual-layer bump ensures the design feels smooth, while remain durable for everyday usage.

Galaxy S26 Ultra’s corners are also shown in the leaked picture. The corners are a little more rounded than the S25 Ultra. The placement of volume buttons and the side key is also similar to what we’ve got in previous flagships.

You can also see the S Pen along with the smartphone. It’s a confirmation that the stylus is living on in 2026, but there’s no guarantee in 2027. The placement of the S Pen compartment has already become a topic of discussion among fans.

Well, it’s just the beginning of official leaks, which would intensify over the next few days. The company is expected to unveil the new flagships on February 25 in San Francisco, with the first sale likely beginning on March 11.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Could Be 6% More Expensive Than Galaxy S25 Ultra Due To DRAM, NAND Price Increases; Samsung Betting On AI, SoC Upgrade & New Camera To Generate Sales

1 February 2026 at 01:49

Galaxy S26 Ultra could be 6 percent more expensive than the Galaxy S25 Ultra

The month of February is almost upon us, which means Samsung is gearing up to launch its Galaxy S26 series, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra being the company’s top-end offering that’s expected to arrive with a plethora of upgrades. Unfortunately, seeing as how we’ve discussed the DRAM crisis on a number of occasions, with NAND flash also becoming more expensive, it would have been difficult for Samsung to avoid this hike. Due to these reasons, a report states that the Galaxy S26 Ultra is estimated to be around 6 percent expensive than its immediate predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, while also […]

Galaxy S26 Ultra could have 24MP mode in default camera

31 January 2026 at 19:35

Samsung is working on its next flagship phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and new reports suggest it will come with an interesting camera upgrade. The phone is expected to launch in late February 2026, and early leaks show that the camera could be one of its main highlights.

Tipster @UniverseIce has revealed that Samsung is adding a new 24MP photo mode to the phone’s default camera app. This is not the 24MP option in Expert RAW. Instead, it is a simpler mode meant for everyday photography, which gives more detail than the standard 12MP mode without needing heavy editing.

This new 24MP mode works in Photo and Portrait modes. When a picture is taken, the phone takes about three seconds to process it. The final photo looks clean and natural, especially when taking pictures of people or bright scenes. In addition, issues like over-sharpening or purple edges are reduced.

Earlier, it was reported that the 24MP mode would not be on by default. Users had to go into Camera Assistant and turn it on in Advanced resolution options before it could be used in the camera app.

But new reports say Samsung has now added this 24MP mode directly to the default camera. This means users might not need to turn it on in the settings anymore. This feature will be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 series. Stay tuned for more information.
