Balanced scoring leads Cair Paravel past Horton, advances in sub-state
TOPEKA (KSNT) – Onto the semifinals.
The Cair Paravel boys basketball team cruised by Horton on Friday, 68-28 to advance to the Eskridge-Mission Valley 2A Sub-State semifinals.
All five starters for the Lions were in double figures in scoring, with Chase Hastert leading the way with 16. Drew Fay scored 13, Lucas Marichal had 11, and Blaine Durbin/Caleb Cleverdon each had 10.
The Lions held Horton to just six points in the second half.
Cair Paravel will host Doniphan West on Wednesday at 6:00 in the semifinals.
