Samsung pushes February 2026 security update to Galaxy M56 users

Samsung has started rolling out a new software update with the February 2026 patch for the Samsung Galaxy M56. The update focuses mainly on improving device security. It fixes several known issues and improves system protection. The rollout has currently begun in India.

February 2026 security update comes with firmware version M566BXXU5BZB4. It has a download size of 499.16MB. While the main focus is security, users may also notice small improvements in system stability. These updates help the device perform more smoothly.

The latest update fixes 37 security vulnerabilities. These issues were related to Android and Samsung’s own software features. By addressing them, Samsung ensures better protection for user data and privacy. Regular security patches are important to keep smartphones safe from new threats.

Samsung originally launched the Galaxy M56 in April 2025 with Android 15-based One UI 7. The company promised six major Android or One UI upgrades and six years of security updates. So far, the phone has already received One UI 8.0 based on Android 16. Five major updates are still expected in the future.

To download the new update, users can go to Settings, then tap Software update, and select Download and install. It is recommended to use a stable Wi-Fi connection. Also, make sure the phone has enough battery before starting the installation. The update may take a few days to reach all devices.

The Galaxy M56 is also eligible for One UI 8.5. Samsung recently showcased the stable One UI 8.5 version with the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. The new version is expected to roll out to supported devices in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more information.
