One UI 9 brings βglass-likeβ audio visualizer animation
Samsung has started testing its next big software update, One UI 9, and one of the noticeable changes spotted in the Media Player. Right now, the One UI 8.5 Beta Program is running on the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7, with a stable release expected soon. The first One UI 9 builds have already appeared in internal testing, which gives us a preview of whatβs coming.
In One UI 8.5, the Media Player shows a simple wave that moves with the music. It is functional but plain. One UI 9, however, gives the wave a fresh new look, spotted via @tukzerotuk. We can say the Media Player in One UI 9 looks more colorful, smooth, and enjoyable to use.
The animation now shows bright Blue, Orange, and Yellow colors, which are easy to see and more visually appealing. The wave moves more smoothly, and the animation looks more defined and lively, making music playback feel fun and modern. This change seems small, but it makes a big difference for people who use their Galaxy phones to listen to music or podcasts.

One UI 8.5 and One UI 9 Media Player
Samsung may also add more updates to the Media Player in One UI 9, improving the interface and adding new features to make listening even better. While details are currently started emerging, itβs clear that Samsung is focusing on both performance and design with this update.
Samsung has reportedly begun internal testing for One UI 9. The company is expected to launch a Beta Program for select users in May 2026, allowing them to try the new features early. After testing, the stable version of One UI 9 stable will likely be released alongside the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. Stay tuned.
