Samsung’s Battery Icon isn’t safe in One UI 8.5 either

Samsung’s Battery Icon can’t remain free from controversy in One UI 8.5 either. After multiple adjustments in One UI 7 and One UI 8, the specific UI component is yet to hit the level of perfection in One UI 8.5.

The latest problem linked to Samsung’s Battery Icon has emerged on Galaxy S24 Ultra running One UI 8.5 Beta 2. The component has a scaling bug, specifically on the 100 percent battery level, and it’s weird at this stage.

At the 100 percent level, the battery icon’s pill has turned oddly thin. At levels below 100, it returned to its optimal size, which it usually used to appear. The problem seems limited to the 100 level when the icon contains three digits.

As the battery dropped, the battery icon became fine. It appears accurately aligned with other components in the status bar. Samsung will address the scaling problem in the next Beta update, or probably the Stable build.

Battery Icon isn’t safe yet

The new battery icon was debuted in One UI 7. Samsung has improved the pill based on user feedback and suggestions. We’ve seen notable improvements in the One UI 8 and 8.5 versions, but the best is yet to come.

It’s disappointing to see the firmware is failing to keep such a basic component perfect. The software is indeed Beta, which contains such glitches. However, the battery icon should now stop ruining the user interface.

Check if the battery icon turns thinner at 100 percent charge on your Galaxy device. It’s not a deal-breaker, but still, it ruins the level of perfection. Well, you can remove the pill and keep the battery level alone, which looks clean.
