Samsung Dynamic wallpaper not working? Here’s the latest One UI 8 fix

12 December 2025 at 01:45

Some Samsung Galaxy users on One UI 8 have run into a problem with the Dynamic Wallpaper feature. This option is meant to change the wallpaper’s color throughout the day depending on the time, but for many users, it keeps switching back to the default wallpaper on its own.

According to the reports, when users set the Dynamic wallpaper on their Samsung Galaxy devices running One UI 8, the wallpaper is supposed to adjust its colors as per the time of day. But the bug causes wallpapers to revert to the default one, rather than changing to the colors as expected. This is quite frustrating.

Fortunately, Samsung has confirmed that the company is aware of this One UI 8 issue, and it affects the Dynamic Wallpaper feature. The company also mentioned that an update has been released to fix this issue. After that, the wallpaper will stay as you set it, and the color changes will occur correctly throughout the day.

To fix this issue, you have to update the Samsung Wallpaper app. This update will improve the Dynamic Wallpaper function to work properly. For that, you just need to open the Galaxy Store app >> go to the Menu option >> click on Updates >> and find the Samsung Wallpaper app and update it.

Once the app is updated, your wallpaper will no longer reset, and the color changes will work smoothly. So if you are facing the same issue, install the update now.

One UI 8.5 leak confirms two more new features

6 December 2025 at 09:48

Samsung fans have already received the One UI 8.0 update with plenty of improvements. Now, Samsung’s One UI 8.5 has grabbed all the headlines, and a new leak sheds light on two more new features slated to launch soon.

Enthusiast ThatJoshGuy revealed two new features that appeared in the new Tips app on One UI 8.5. These are the officially highlighted features that will be promoted through the official Tips app on compatible Samsung phones.

Samsung has crafted Direct voicemail and Private album. The former is inspired by Apple’s iOS, while the latter is hidden inside One UI 8.

Direct voicemail

One UI 8.5 will let you set Direct voicemail for callers. When enabled, it will let callers record a voicemail as they call. It’s a feature already available on Apple iPhones that works for callers having Android phones too.

When you receive a call, the caller will be prompted to record a voicemail. It will happen after a certain time duration or early if manually set. If the caller drops a voicemail, you receive the message in text form.

The official description is as follows:

Let callers record a message when you can’t answer and see what they say in real-time on the screen. You can start Direct voicemail manually when you receive a call or set calls to automatically go to voicemail after a certain amount of time.

Private album

Samsung Gallery already has Private Album feature on One UI 8. However, you need to manually enable it from Gallery Labs. One UI 8.5 will end the need for this manual activation and bring it to the Gallery app.

Private album is a dedicated space where you can store your personal photos and videos. The folder will be available in the Gallery app’s menu. You can access the folder’s contents after authenticating through biometrics.
