PROVIDENCE, Guyana (AP) — Left-arm spinner Jayden Lennox took 5-19 as West Indies collapsed from 63-0 to be all out for 138 and New Zealand went on to win the second one-day cricket international Monday by five wickets.

New Zealand faced a difficult chase on a sharply turning pitch and was 96-5 before Tom Latham made 37 in an unbroken partnership with Mark Bracewell to guide New Zealand to its target with 104 balls remaining.

New Zealand's 400th win in one-day internationals leveled the five-match series at 1-1 after West Indies won the first match by seven wickets.

Lennox claimed his first five-wicket total in his seventh one-day international after a belated international debut at 31 and his figures from eight overs were the third-best by a New Zealand spinner in ODIs.

He set in motion a collapse which saw the West Indies lose all 10 wickets for 65 runs after a solid opening stand between John Campbell (43) and Akeem August (18).

Lennox shared with Mitchell Santner the key wickets of Keacy Carty who made 95 and captain Shai Hope who made an unbeaten 87 in a partnership of 131-runs in the first match on Saturday.

Santner bowled Carty for 18 with a ball which pitched on middle and turned sharply to beat the bat while Lennox bowled Hope for 7 with a ball that pitched on middle and leg and straightened past the inside edge.

Amir Jangoo's 24 was the only other major contribution for West Indies which lost its last five wickets in 10 overs.

Henry Nicholls (17) and Will Young (28) gave New Zealand a brisk start, putting on 35 for the first wicket at almost five runs per over.

In a double setback, New Zealand lost both Young and Mark Chapman (0) in quick succession. Chapman was run out second ball, taking a chancy run from a push to cover only to be beaten by Vitel Lawes' quick and accurate throw.

Nicholls was out with the total 52-3 before Daryl Mitchell and Latham combined to put on 42 for the fourth wicket. Mitchell made 28 and seemed likely to be in at the close but made a rash decision to charge a ball from Khary Pierre and was stumped.

Dean Foxcroft was bowled by Pierre shortly afterwards, raising the pressure on New Zealand but Latham and Bracewell (18) held out until the end. Bracewell passed 1,000 runs in one-day internationals.

The third match in the five-match series is scheduled for Thursday, also in Guyana.

FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Paige Bueckers had 22 points and 11 assists, Jessica Shepard added 19 points and 10 rebounds, and the Dallas Wings beat the Chicago Sky 96-91 on Sunday.

The Wings (16-8) have won a season-high five straight games, their longest streak since also winning five in a row in 2023.

Arike Ogunbowale scored 17 points and Azzi Fudd 16 for Dallas.

Li Yueru had 10 points and a season-high 10 rebounds and slowed down Chicago's Kamilla Cardoso after a hot start. Cardoso had six points on 3-of-5 shooting and five rebounds in the first five minutes before Yueru came off the bench.

Cardoso finished 6 of 12 from the field with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Fudd hit a 3-pointer just before the shot clock expired and then blocked a shot at the other end before Shepard made layup that gave Dallas the lead for good with 3:07 left. Ogunbowale made a layup with 42 seconds left that capped a 15-5 run and made it 94-89.

Sydney Taylor led the Sky (7-16) with 20 points, Azura Stevens added 18 and a season-high 13 rebounds, and Natasha Cloud scored 15.

Dallas' Alanna Smith left the game in the first half due to a left leg injury and did not return.

Chicago's Skylar Diggins missed her third consecutive game due to a knee injury. The six-time All-WNBA pick (four first-team selections), who signed a two-year deal with the club in April, announced Monday on Instagram that she had been informed by the club that she would be coming off the bench. The soon-to-be 36-year-old missed her first game Tuesday, a 77-66 win at Phoenix, despite not appearing on the injury report until 90 minutes before tipoff.

Diggins has started the last 277 regular-season games she has played, beginning in 2016 for Dallas.

HAMPTON, Ga. (AP) — Pole winner Ryan Blaney held the lead when severe weather caused a delay in the NASCAR Cup Series race at EchoPark Speedway on Sunday night.

There had been concern about approaching rain before lighting within eight miles of the 1.54-mile oval track near Atlanta led NASCAR officials to order cars off the track and advise fans to exit the grandstand. Rain began soon after the race was delayed.

The race was halted at lap 108 in Stage 2. The race is scheduled for 260 laps and 130 laps must be completed for the race to be official.

Blaney won the pole and his Team Penske teammate Joey Logano joined him on the front row. A third Team Penske driver, Austin Cindric, moved up to third early in the race for an early strong showing for the Fords.

Bubba Wallace was second and Tyler Reddick was third when the race was delayed. Another Toyota driver, Christopher Bell, was fourth. Chase Elliott, who won last summer’s race in Atlanta, was fifth.

Cup Series points leader Denny Hamlin, who qualified 28th, moved up to 15th.

Reddick, who won at EchoPark Speedway in February as part of his string of five wins in the season's first nine races, qualified only 31st on Saturday. By the 35th lap he already had moved up to fourth, proving early that he again would be a factor in Atlanta.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Brandon Nimmo hit a game-ending single that drove in Wyatt Langford with his third hit of the game, and the Texas Rangers beat the Houston Astros 6-5 on Sunday to enter the All-Star break with a winning record at 49-47.

Langford singled off Josh Hader (3-1) leading off the ninth and advanced when Zach Dezenzo misplayed the ball for an error. Langford moved up on Josh Jung's single and scored standing up when Nimmo hit a one-hopper that glanced off the raised glove of Hader and into center field, giving Texas its fourth walk-off win this year.

Nimmo had his first walk-off plate appearance for Texas and his seventh in the big leagues.

All-Star closer Jacob Latz (2-1) intentionally walked Yordan Alvarez with two outs and none on in the ninth, Alvarez's second intentional walk of the game, then retired Isaac Paredes on a popout.

Texas won two of three in the in-state series and leads the AL West by 1 1/2 games over second-place Seattle (48-49) and by three games over third-place Houston (47-51). The Rangers have won eight of their last 10 series rubber games.

Astros center fielder Brice Matthews injured his left knee crashing into the wall in the first inning trying to catch a Jung drive and left for a pinch hitter in the second.

Houston's Cristian Javier gave up three runs, four hits and three walks over three innings in his first start since straining his right shoulder during an outing on April 8.

Rangers starter MacKenzie Gore allowed one run and two hits over four innings in his first big league outing on three days’ rest. Jacob deGrom had been scratched because of a mild left glute strain.

Nicky Lopez's RBI single and Joc Pederson's two-run double built a 3-0 Texas lead in the second.

Jose Altuve homered in the fourth, and Nimmo's RBI triple boosted the lead to 4-1 in the fifth.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Ozzie Albies doubled and scored the winning run on Masyn Winn’s throwing error in the ninth inning, allowing the Atlanta Braves to avoid a sweep against the St. Louis Cardinals with a 4-3 win Sunday.

Moments before the decisive run scored, Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol was ejected after a failed challenge when JoJo Romero (1-3) hit Michael Harris II with a two-strike pitch with two outs.

Marmol's 23rd career ejection tied Whitey Herzog and Roger Bresnahan for second among Cardinals managers, trailing only Tony La Russa’s 39.

Mauricio Dubón followed with a routine grounder to shortstop, but the 2025 Gold Glover Winn’s throw to first was wild.

All-Star Raisel Iglesias closed with a perfect ninth inning for his 19th save. Tyler Kinley (5-3) earned the win.

Brewer Hicklen put Atlanta ahead 3-1 in the sixth with a double to left-center field for his first major league RBI and extra-base hit.

José Fermín tied it with a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth.

An overturned out call at home plate gave Atlanta its first lead in the fourth inning.

Austin Riley raced home from second on Drake Baldwin’s two-out single to right field, narrowly getting his left hand to the plate before catcher Jimmy Crooks tagged him on the back.

Cardinals starter Dustin May matched his season high with four walks in four innings, allowing two runs and two hits. The Braves’ first run came when May threw a wild pitch after walking the bases loaded in the second inning.

After opener Danny Young allowed Alec Burleson’s RBI double in the first, Braves rookie J.R. Ritchie pitched 4 1/3 innings of hitless relief before yielding Jordan Walker’s leadoff single that started the Cardinals’ rally in the sixth.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Randy Arozarena hit a three-run homer after Seattle lost starting pitcher Emerson Hancock to a hand injury in the second inning, and the Mariners beat the Tampa Bay Rays 8-2 on Sunday to snap a five-game losing streak.

Hancock took a 107.2 mph one-hopper off his pitching hand on his first pitch to Yandy Diaz but recovered to throw him out at first. The right-hander stayed in the game and retired Jonathan Aranda on a flyout on his second pitch before striking out Junior Caminero.

Hancock then left after issuing a two-out walk to Victor Mesa Jr. in the second on his 19th pitch. José A. Ferrer (2-1) needed one pitch to end the inning before striking out two in a scoreless third. Four relievers followed, with Andrés Muñoz pitching the ninth to close it out.

Seattle took a 3-0 lead against Ian Seymour (6-2) in the second on Victor Robles' bases-loaded sacrifice fly and J.P. Crawford's two-out, two-run double.

Weston Wilson hit a solo homer — his first as a Mariner and second of the season — with one out in the fourth. Seymour left with two outs and two on and Arozarena greeted Cole Sulser with his 11th homer to cap the four-run inning for a 7-0 lead.

Buddy Kennedy and Crawford had back-to-back doubles off Craig Kimbrel with one out in the ninth for the final margin.

Diaz singled leading off the eighth against Eduard Bazardo and Aranda followed with his 14th homer for the Rays' runs.

Seymour allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, surrendering six hits with three walks. Sulser got two outs and was charged with a run.

Tampa Bay (57-37) has the best record in the AL heading to the All-Star Game.

Seattle (48-49) lost three straight to the Marlins to start a 1-5 trip.

Evan Longoria had his No. 3 jersey retired in a pregame ceremony, one day after being inducted into the Rays' Hall of Fame.
