Milwaukee Brewers: 3 players selected as likely All-Stars by renowned MLB analyst
The Milwaukee Brewers are, once again, the team to beat in the National League Central Division. Prior to the season, many thought the Chicago Cubs would win the NL Central while Milwaukee would take a step back following their trade of Freddy Peralta.
When will they ever learn?
Entering play on Monday, the Brewers are 40-23. Their 40 wins in 63 games is the best mark to start the season in franchise history, and they continue to find ways to win when many feel they are out of the game.
Unsurprisingly, then, Milwaukee has several players that would be sensible National League All-Star selections.
Jim Bowden predicts three Milwaukee Brewers players will be All-Stars in 2026
On Monday morning, Jim Bowden, the renown MLB analyst from The Athletic, released his early All-Star roster predictions for both the American and National Leagues. On the NL side of it, he predicts three Milwaukee stars will represent the Brewers.
Brice Turang
“Turang is the best overall second baseman in baseball. He’s a Platinum Glove-level defender with elite range to both sides. At the plate, his power-and-speed combination makes him one of the most productive hitting infielders in the NL.”
Brice Turang is hitting .281/.401/.480 with nine home runs, 39 RBI, and nine stolen bases so far this season. These numbers are among the league-leaders for NL second basemen, and his .401 OBP is the fifth-best in all baseball.
Jacob Misiorowski
“Misiorowski has arguably the best fastball in MLB history and has thrown more pitches over 100 mph than anyone since the stat started being documented. He has 116 strikeouts, 22 walks and a 1.50 ERA over 13 starts. If the game weren’t in Philadelphia, he’d get the edge for me as the starter.”
As Bowden notes, Cristopher Sanchez is likely going to get the start for the NL because the All-Star Game is in Philadelphia. But Misiorowski has been absolutely stellar this season. In 13 starts, he is 7-2 with a 1.50 ERA and MLB-leading 0.81 WHIP. He also leads all of baseball with 116 strikeouts.
Kyle Harrison
“Acquired in an offseason trade with the Red Sox, Harrison is having a breakout season in his first year in Milwaukee, putting up the lowest ERA through his first 10 starts with the team in franchise history, surpassing C.C. Sabathia in 2008.”
Why do MLB teams even trade pitchers to the Brewers anymore at this point? Before coming to Milwaukee, Kyle Harrison was 9-9 with a 4.39 ERA in his career.
So far in 2026, he is 7-1 with a 1.57 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. If not for Misiorowski, he would be the unquestioned ace of the Brewers pitching staff, and could probably be the number one starter on 75% of other MLB teams.
