Gemini gains new voices and refreshed interface ahead of I/O 2026
Google is getting ready for Google I/O 2026, and it is adding new updates to its AI assistant, Google Gemini. These updates are minor but make the app better and more fun to use.
Now, Gemini has a new look when it is thinking. When you ask a question, you will see soft moving colors on the screen. This shows that the app is working on your answer. It makes the app look more modern and nice.
Google has also added two new voices in Gemini. The names of these voices are βFlareβ and βGlow.β These voices join the older voices already in the app. Now users can choose from more voices and pick the one they like best. Some people like different voices, so this gives more choice.

Right now, these new voices are not available for everyone. They may only be available in the United States for now. Other countries may get them later when Google finishes rolling them out slowly.
Google has also made other improvements to Gemini recently. It has improved audio sharing, which means users can now share sound more easily. It also added a feature called βThinking Levelβ to help Gemini think in different ways depending on the question. It helps give better answers.
All these changes are coming just before the Google I/O 2026 event. This is a big event where Google shows new technology and updates. Stay tuned for more information.
