NFL legend calls out ‘insufferable’ Winter Olympics skier Eileen Gu

Chinese-American Winter Olympics star Eileen Gu is under fire once again, but this time it’s an NFL legend calling out the successful women’s skier.

Former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason has become the latest critic of the Milan Cortina Games gold medalist after going on a viral rant Tuesday. The WFAN radio host questioned Gu for her “insufferable” behavior throughout the Olympics.

Eileen Gu controversially decided to represent China instead of the United States after a reported hefty payday. However, her Olympic interviews also rubbed American fans the wrong way throughout the Milan Cortina Games.

Meanwhile, Esiason’s questionable remarks come after he surprisingly called Gu an “attractive woman” before bashing her for some of her other qualities.

“She’s a very attractive woman and she’s extremely bright, she went to Stanford,” Esiason said on the WFAN airwaves recently. “But if you listen to her post participation interviews, she’s insufferable”

Esiason hasn’t been the only vocal critic of Eileen Gu’s though in recent weeks. Former NBA star Enes Kanter bashed the Winter Olympics star for choosing China over the U.S. and even went as far as to call her a ‘traitor.’

Regardless of fans’ thoughts on the young skier’s choice of country, Gu certainly dazzled the Milan Cortina Games with her incredible talent. The 22 year old is fully expecting to be in the mix once again when the 2030 Olympic Games take place in the French Alps.
