Emirates And Loong Air Sign Interline Agreement, Expanding their Airline Footprint In China and Offering New Seamless Access To Twenty-Two Additional Cities For Travelers

Emirates has expanded its presence in China with a new interline agreement with Loong Air, which is one of the most important regional carriers in China. The new deal, which is being implemented right away, gives Emirates customers the ability to travel to 22 new destinations in China. With this new partnership, Emirates customers can travel to new destinations in the East, Northeast, South, Central, and SouthWest regions of China. This is great for business and leisure travelers.

With this agreement, Emirates travelers can now book an entire journey with one ticket, and travel with the same luggage for the entire trip. This is a great improvement in travel convenience and accessibility. Thanks to this collaboration with Loong Air, people will be able to travel quite easily to: Zhengzhou, Changchun, Haikou, Xiangyang, Dazhou, etc.

Enhancing Connectivity for Leisure and Business Travelers

The interline agreement not only boosts Emirates’ connectivity within China, but it also opens up exciting new travel options for both leisure tourists and business professionals looking to explore the country’s key domestic hubs. By combining Emirates’ global network with Loong Air’s extensive domestic routes, the partnership offers travelers a comprehensive and convenient journey across one of the world’s largest and most diverse travel markets.

For Emirates customers, this new agreement enhances their ability to book travel from Emirates’ existing Chinese gateways to a wide range of domestic destinations. The airline’s customers can now enjoy a seamless experience, with the ease of booking all travel through one platform, whether it’s Emirates.com, Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), or via Global Distribution Systems (GDS) through travel agents.

Seamless Booking and Payment Experience for Travelers

In addition to the expanded routes, Emirates offers a range of convenient booking and payment options for Chinese customers. Travelers can now purchase tickets on Emirates.com, where they also have access to online payment methods such as WeChat Pay and Alipay, providing an easy and localized payment experience for customers booking from China. This streamlined service ensures that customers can book their trips with ease, while benefiting from Emirates’ renowned service on international flights.

Strengthening Emirates’ Long-Term Commitment to China

The new interline agreement is part of Emirates’ continued commitment to the Chinese market, where the airline has been operating since 2004. Over the years, Emirates has gradually built a strong presence in China, and this partnership with Loong Air will continue to enhance its network in one of the world’s most important aviation markets.

Last year, Emirates further expanded its Chinese footprint by launching new flights to Shenzhen and Hangzhou, two key destinations for both business and tourism. The airline also introduced its award-winning Premium Economy on these routes, offering travelers more choice and flexibility in their travel options. Additionally, Emirates brought back its iconic A380 on flights to Shanghai, underscoring the airline’s commitment to providing top-tier services on its most popular Chinese routes.

Existing Partnerships Enhance Emirates’ Chinese Network

Beyond Loong Air, Emirates has also established partnerships with Air China, China Southern Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines, expanding its access to more than 110 points across China. This growing network of partnerships gives Emirates customers greater access to Chinese destinations, ensuring that they can travel seamlessly across the country, from major cities like Beijing and Guangzhou to more regional hubs.

These partnerships are a key component of Emirates’ strategy to increase connectivity and provide its passengers with greater travel flexibility, as they can seamlessly connect through Emirates’ five gateways in China to other key cities not directly served by the airline.

Expanding Horizons for Travelers Between China and the World

With the new interline agreement between Emirates and Loong Air, passengers flying to/from China can connect seamlessly between both airlines and gain an extensive range of options to travel to/from China. Loong Air and Emirates now have the opportunity to expand their footprint in the Chinese market and provide seamless travel options to passengers of Loong Air to explore various destinations in the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions.

As Emirates continues to strengthen its network to China, its reach will also stimulate the potential for travel (both tourism and business) in China and the rest of the world. The partnership with Loong Air signifies the commitment of Emirates to provide travel options to and from China and reinforces its position as a leading airline in the Asia-Pacific market.
