Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra now supports HDR display on Weibo

3 February 2026 at 22:10

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is the latest flagship phone in the Galaxy S series. And the company is going to launch its next-generation model later this month. Now, a new report has shared an important update about the Galaxy S25 Ultra display.

According to a reliable tipster @UniverseIce, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra now supports HDR display on Weibo. This means users can watch and view HDR photos and videos directly on Weibo using this smartphone. HDR helps make images look better by showing brighter colors, better contrast, and more detail in both dark and bright areas.

The Weibo post also shows several photos taken with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. These photos highlight the HDR effect clearly. With HDR support, pictures look more colorful, clear, and closer to real life. This makes viewing photos and videos on the phone more enjoyable.

Right now, many popular social media apps support HDR content. These include Instagram, Xiaohongshu, and Weibo. Because of this, users can enjoy high-quality images and videos on these platforms. However, the X platform still does not support HDR content.

The addition of HDR support on Weibo improves the viewing experience on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This update is helpful for users who like taking photos, watching videos, and sharing content on social media. Stay tuned for more information.

I won’t miss the Titanium Galaxy S26 Ultra

3 February 2026 at 17:56

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will launch soon, and it is expected that this flagship will not come with titanum frame, which may not be a big deal for the majority of customers. Here’s a history lesson of this short-lived titanium reign.

In 2023, Apple released iPhone 15 Pro models, the first in line to use a titanium design. Titanium, known for its strong and lightweight composition, is becoming the perfect choice for the next-gen iPhone.

The company followed this design practice with the iPhone 16 in 2024. However, the iPhone 17 Pro made it obsolete, returning to aluminum alloy.

Apple said the new design is space-efficient and is more thermal performance-friendly, but there was a twist. The new design consists of a plateau, which enables Apple to shift some important electronic components inside, making space for a larger battery life.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S24 Ultra Comparison

There is a reason we are taking this crash course: In the following year of Apple’s Titanium debut, Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 Ultra, with a titanium body, the first ever among Galaxy devices. In 2025, Samsung launched the S25 Ultra with the same composition. Yet reports are indicating that Samsung is likely to close a chapter on titanium, similar to Apple.

Early leaks about the design suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will return to aluminum. As you should know, Samsung has been using this material all the way to the S23 Ultra.

Following Apple’s trend, this year should be the time for Samsung to do the same. However, Apple’s decision was justified through its spec upgrade, but Samsung may struggle on this front. Especially the battery, which may remain at 5,000mAh.

So, what could be the difference maker here? Three things: an aluminum frame may help the company to improve the frame molding and reduce frame borders around the bezels for a sleek look. The second is to produce a more vibrant color than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Third could be a better heat dissipation system for better thermal management.

This news remains unconfirmed, but press renders leak are in favor of excluding this design trait at least from this new smartphone.

I’ve held the Galaxy S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, and S25 Ultra. The latter phones bring a more premium finish and a better in-hand experience than the former two. However, that’s the only thing that separates the S24U and S25U from their predecessors.

Ultimately, consumers won’t mind holding an aluminum Galaxy S26 Ultra if Samsung can justify removing the titanium and adding important hardware upgrades.

S Pen will make a big sacrifice for Galaxy S26 Ultra

1 February 2026 at 15:27

It’s now confirmed that Samsung will change the S Pen design to shift shape with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and it may change the look and feel of this unique accessory.

Initially, the S Pen was associated with the Galaxy Note series. With the Note series out of the league, the Galaxy S-series adopted this innovative feature and took it to the next-level through the Ultra flagship.

Besides being only a stylus accessory, the S-Pen had Air actions, allowing users to control playback and take photographs from a distance. However, the S25 Ultra removed the Bluetooth functionality. That said, the S Pen is once again working as a creative stylus rather than a wireless accessory.

Galaxy s26 Ultra and S25 Ultra S Pen stylus

In my Galaxy S25 Ultra vs S24 Ultra S Pen comparison, I’ve detailed new upgrades. Similarly, I’ve also spotted a few changes in the S26 Ultra’s S Pen in the recent leaked renders.

For the first time, the S Pen will get an arc-shaped press and release button head. Despite it being limited to an in-and-out mechanism, the design is unconventional and reminds me of the Galaxy Note 2.

The arc-shaped head is a corresponding change to the higher radius in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The corners now have a more rounded look than the previous generation.

You see, traditionally, Note devices always had a boxy design, especially the frame. Allowing Samsung to offer a flat-out frame. This situation remained the same with the Galaxy S22 and later devices. However, that is no longer the case with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, as it is chasing a modern design.

It also appears that the press and release buttons may have a slightly reduced width or length. While the S-Pen may retain its overall height, it could further cut the width from the S25 Ultra. This change heavily alters its appearance over the previous version.

I’ve added a side-by-side comparison of the leaked S-Pen renders for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and angles suggest that these observations may be accurate. Still, a real device exposure may unveil more changes than these. Meanwhile, uncovering more secrets about the new S-Pen accessories.

I’ll bring a side-by-side comparison after the device is launched later this month.

Galaxy S26 Ultra vs S25 Ultra: Every new design upgrade

1 February 2026 at 12:58

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra leaks are intensifying, and a closer look at its official press renders gave us a chance to compare the newest design upgrades to the S25 Ultra.

When it comes to appearance, Samsung is drawing criticism for an iPhone-like approach. Retaining the majority of the characteristics, while making procedural changes. This approach has been consistent in the previous Galaxy Ultra releases as well as on the standard and Plus models.

Once again, the Korean phone maker will follow this minimalistic design upgrade policy for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Below, you can check the breakdown of things that you may find different from the previous generation.

Front

The front is almost identical to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, except for a few refinements. First is the punch hole. The new phone has a larger selfie camera housing, which indicates a camera upgrade, but specifics are unknown.

On the other hand, the renders show that the frame width around bezels is slightly reduced, making it appear less wide than the S25 Ultra. It could improve the front view for a full-screen view.

Another adjustment falls onto the corners, they have more radius, thus making the entire device look round. Check the image below to understand the new change.

Sides

The left side remains plain, while the right side has power and volume adjustment keys. The bottom side has a USB-C port, speakers, and an S-Pen slot.

Rear

The back panel has a new camera design, featuring a vertical pill-shaped camera bump, housing triple camera rings arranged in the same formation. These are the main, ultra-wide, and a primary telephoto camera.

On the right side, you will see two other camera openings, one of which belongs to the 3X telephoto zoom. The left-hand array has removed those black glued rings for a stable design, thanks to the bump addition.

Conclusion

Overall, it appears to be a nice upgrade, but a real-photograph or higher quality visuals may paint a different picture.

This flagship will use a new chipset – Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, providing optimum performance and a boost for on-device AI features. The camera will see new optimizations in photo and video segments for higher quality outputs.

The battery may not see an upgrade this year, but the charging could reach up to 60W for the S26 Ultra. Based on the latest leaks, the Galaxy S26 series will launch on February 25, 2026, at the Unpacked event.

Here’s why the Galaxy S25 Ultra is still worth buying in 2026

By:Yash
1 February 2026 at 11:33

By February 2026, the Galaxy S25 Ultra had slipped from headline novelty into something rarer. A settled object, a tool that no longer needs to announce itself.

Pick it up, and the first impression is not visual, it’s tactile. The Galaxy S24’s sharp geometry has been softened into a more humane arc, a contour that rests against the palm instead of negotiating with it.

The enhanced Titanium frame feels less like an ornament and more like geology. Its surface carries a faintly pitted, lunar-like permanence, as though it has already survived something and expects to survive you as well.

The display is where the phone grows quiet. Gorilla Armor does not shine, and that is the point. Reflections are muted into near-absence, turning the glass into a void of distractions.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra back Design

Text seems printed rather than emitted, while video appears suspended beneath the surface, calm and almost private. In a year crowded with brighter and louder panels, the S25 Ultra’s restraint reads as confidence.

Snapdragon 8 Elite performs rock solid inside. AI tasks in 2026 simply arrive fully formed, language models respond without hesitation, and image processing happens before impatience can surface.

The chip’s power feels less like acceleration and more like the silent weight of a rising tide, lifting everything at once. The 200MP main sensor and dual-telephoto lenses do not chase sensation, along with the clean selfie shooter.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera

Days unfold without the low-grade anxiety of percentages. Charging becomes an occasional ritual rather than a constant interruption, which solidifies the efficiency and reliability of the smartphone’s 5,000mAh battery.

In 2026, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is no longer a promise. It is a resolved idea, a phone that chose refinement over noise, and in doing so, aged with unusual grace.

What makes the S25 Ultra relevant in February 2026 isn’t any single component. It’s the convergence of micro-refinements into a device that feels finished rather than iterative.

You can purchase the Galaxy S25 Ultra from Samsung.com, starting at $1,049.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Could Be 6% More Expensive Than Galaxy S25 Ultra Due To DRAM, NAND Price Increases; Samsung Betting On AI, SoC Upgrade & New Camera To Generate Sales

1 February 2026 at 01:49

The month of February is almost upon us, which means Samsung is gearing up to launch its Galaxy S26 series, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra being the company’s top-end offering that’s expected to arrive with a plethora of upgrades.
