Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 could arrive in 2026 with a surprising origin story
Samsung is developing the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 for 2026. The smartwatch will succeed the Watch Ultra and its 2025 iteration released earlier. Meanwhile, the next-gen Ultra Watchβs origin story may be pretty surprising.
Folks at GalaxyClub discovered evidence confirming Samsungβs work on the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 for 2026. The smartwatch is being developed as the Galaxy Watch 9 Ultra, but the marketing name would eventually change.

Samsung might equip the next-gen smartwatches with a new Exynos wearable chipset. It would be manufactured using an enhanced process tech. Performance and efficiency will improve further given the generational shift.
The report says that the Korean tech giant would introduce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 in Summer 2026. This smartwatch will be highly inspired by the Galaxy Watch 9, and Samsung might drop the Classic version in the lineup.
