Detroit Lions Place WR Kendrick Law on Injured Reserve
The Detroit Lions have placed rookie wide receiver Kendrick Law on injured reserve after he suffered a torn ACL during practice.
Law, a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, was expected to compete for a role in Detroitβs receiving corps and contribute on special teams during his rookie season. The former Alabama and Kentucky standout impressed coaches with his athleticism and versatility throughout the offseason program before the injury cut his first NFL campaign short.
The 6-foot receiver was selected by the Lions as part of Brad Holmesβ 2026 draft class after a collegiate career that included stops with both the Alabama Crimson Tide and Kentucky Wildcats.
While Law was facing an uphill battle for playing time in a receiver room led by Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, he was viewed as an intriguing developmental prospect with significant upside.
