Apple may introduce its first MacBook Pro with Samsung OLED in 2026
Apple is expected to launch its first MacBook Pro with an OLED display later this year. This could be a major update for Appleβs laptop lineup. OLED screens offer better colors, deeper blacks, and improved picture quality. Reports suggest that Samsung will play an important role in bringing this new display technology to the MacBook Pro.
The upcoming MacBook Pro is rumored to feature Appleβs new M6 chip, which should deliver better performance and power efficiency. The biggest change is the OLED display, which will be supplied by Samsung Display. For the first OLED MacBook Pro, Samsung is expected to be Appleβs only display partner.
There are also rumors about touchscreen support. Some reports say touchscreen features may be limited to higher-end models with M6 Pro and M6 Max chips. The base M6 model may not include touch support. Apple has not confirmed these details yet.

Samsung Display is said to begin mass production of its 8th-generation OLED panels in May. These advanced panels will be made in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, matching Appleβs current MacBook Pro models.
Aside from this, Samsung Display is expected to ship around 2 million OLED panels for Appleβs MacBook Pro by the end of the year. This suggests Apple is planning a large launch for its first OLED MacBook Pro models.
If these reports are accurate, Appleβs OLED MacBook Pro, powered by Samsungβs display technology, could become one of the biggest upgrades to the MacBook Pro in many years. Stay tuned for more information.
