Los Angeles Dodgers utility infielder Miguel Rojas celebrates his 37th birthday today, and in celebration of the World Series hero, we’ll be looking at the best moments from his Dodgers’ career.

Rojas began his career with the Dodgers in 2014, but L.A. traded him to the Marlins after just one season. The Marlins returned Rojas to Los Angeles ahead of the 2023 season, and he has played an important role with the team since.
He has had his best moments in MLB with the Dodgers since his return, and has cemented himself as a hero in L.A. with some of his recent performances.

The Game-Tying Home Run in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series
The veteran’s best moment by far is his solo home run against the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2025 World Series.
He stepped up to the plate with one out in the top of the ninth inning in Game 7, and hit a historic, game-tying homer to even the score after the Dodgers trailed by three runs earlier in the game.
Rojas isn’t exactly a home run hitter, as he only hit seven homers in 114 games in 2025 and hadn’t hit one for nearly two months before his legendary bomb.
His home run led to the Dodgers’ World Series win in 2025, and has set up a historic three-peat for the upcoming 2026 season.
Defensive Displays in 2025 World Series
He did far more than just hit in the World Series, though, as his defense during the Fall Classic was just as important.
In Game 6, Rojas made a brilliant pick at second base to catch Addison Barger off the bag to win the game for the Dodgers, and he came through in an even bigger way the following night during Game 7.
With a runner on third in the bottom of the ninth, Rojas fielded a ground ball and fired it to catcher Will Smith, who put his foot down on home plate to record an out and keep the game level.
Back-to-back Roy Campanella Awards
Rojas has received the Roy Campanella Award — an award given to the Dodgers player who “best exemplifies the spirit and leadership” of Dodgers Hall of Famer Roy Campanella.
Miggy Ro has proven himself time and time again as a great teammate and leader, notably giving up his No. 11 to Roki Sasaki to make the rookie feel more welcomed after the Dodgers signed him ahead of last season.
He has also set the Dodgers up for the future, teaching shortstop Mookie Betts the nuances of playing the position as he adjusts to the infield.
Rojas’ important to the team can’t be understated, and the Dodgers clearly realize his value as well. They signed Rojas to a one-year deal, and he will end his career as a Dodger following the coming season.
His job is’t done yet, though, as the Dodgers are still chasing history and looking to win the first three-peat in Dodgers history.
