Samsung is rolling out an updated PENUP app with One UI 8.5 support. The update comes at a crucial time when everyone is anticipating the Beta Program. It’s rumored to start today, and don’t be surprised if it gets delayed.

Following the latest update, Samsung PENUP gained support for One UI 8.5. It’s a major development as Samsung gears up for the new software.

Update the changelog of PENUP mentions “One UI 8.5 has been applied.” It’s rolling out to Galaxy devices running One UI 8. Samsung has made this app compatible with the upcoming version to retain functionality.

One UI 8.5 is also based on Android 16, but some apps may be broken. Samsung usually pauses some apps and Good Lock plugins during the Beta Program. It releases new versions to support the updated skin and its aesthetics.

Check Galaxy Store’s Updates section if you’ve also received the new PENUP. It started rolling out earlier this month, and expansion is underway. Navigate to Galaxy Store > Menu > Updates to install the latest version.

With apps getting optimized for the new skin, we may soon see the Beta Program. The company is getting ready to conduct the open testing. On a prior note, it’s making sure apps won’t lose their functionality and affect user experience.

Samsung is expected to start the One UI 8.5 Beta Program this Monday. In the first phase, it would launch for the S25 series in Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US, with India and Poland expansion to follow in Phase 2.
