Starting with the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung Care Plus is shifting away from its old repair-first mindset for replacements.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series owners in the UK are getting more than just new hardware this year. They are getting something longtime Galaxy users have quietly wanted for years: actual replacements.

If you are picking up a Galaxy S26 device, Samsung now guarantees (via AndroidAuthority) a replacement within 48 hours of you making a claim. The coverage has usually been solid on paper. The problem was always the execution.

Unless your phone was lost or stolen, Samsung would repair it at almost any cost instead of swapping it out. With the Galaxy S26 series in the UK, Samsung Care Plus now promises a replacement device within 48 hours of first contact.

Even better, the coverage travels with you. If you are abroad and something goes wrong, Samsung says it will still arrange a replacement. It turns an insurance plan into something that actually feels premium.

Right now, this improved replacement guarantee appears to be limited to the UK. We have not seen confirmation that markets like the US will get the same 48-hour replacement promise.

Well, Samsung UK has confirmed that existing Care Plus customers will start receiving these upgraded benefits over the coming months.
