Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy M17e 5G in India, scheduled for March 17. The smartphone expands the brand’s popular M series and targets the budget segment with a price expected to be under ₹14,000. Samsung has revealed most of the key specifications, leaving only the pricing details to be confirmed on the launch date.

Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G Specifications

The Galaxy M17e 5G features a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor and an Arm Mali-G57 GPU.

The device runs on One UI 8.0, based on Android 16, and includes features like Circle to Search, large home screen folders, real-time notifications via the Now Bar, and AI integration with Google Gemini. Samsung guarantees six years of Android OS and security updates for long-term support.

The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait effects on the rear. The front-facing camera has an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Samsung has incorporated AI features to enhance photo quality and usability.

For connectivity, the phone supports 12 5G bands for reliable performance. It is powered by a 6000mAh battery, offering up to 26 hours of video playback.

The phone has a slim 8.2mm design with a Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) back panel. It carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

The Galaxy M17e 5G comes in Vibe Violet and Blitz Blue colors and will be available on Samsung’s online store, Amazon India, and offline retailers after the launch.
