Industry reports suggest Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 Wide in late July, but a new leak from a Greek outlet techmaniacs, has already revealed key specs of the upcoming foldable phones.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to be just 4.1mm unfolded and weigh around 210 grams. For reference, the Fold 7 is 4.2mm unfolded and weighs 215 grams, which means the new model is getting minor refinements.

Under the hood, the new foldable phone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. It is the same chip that Qualcomm tailored for Samsung, and it was used in the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year.

Galaxy Z Fold 8’s ultrawide camera is getting an upgrade from 12 MP to 50 MP. The other four sensors, including the rear main and telephoto as well as the cover and internal screen’s selfie camera, are repeated.

Samsung fans have always demanded a bigger battery on the foldable smartphone. Until the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the company used a 4400mAh battery, but it’s getting bumped to 5000mAh in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 along with 45W charging.

The main and cover screens are expected to remain unchanged, 8 inches and 6.5 inches, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide

Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is joining Samsung’s foldable portfolio this year. It brings a design similar to a passport, which Huawei managed to debut first. Apple’s first foldable iPhone could also feature a wide form factor.

Leaked specs include a dual rear camera setup with 50 MP main and 50 MP ultrawide. The selfie camera sensors would remain at 10 MP, just like the Fold 8. The device isn’t getting the 200-megapixel sensor from Ultra lineup.

Battery and charging aspects would impress, thanks to the 4800mAh battery and 45W charging. Main display is expected to be 7.6 inches, and the device’s aspect ratio is rumored to be 4:3 in an overall weight of around 200 grams.

Samsung is rumored to hold Unpacked on July 22 in London.
