Samsung’s AI AC uses wearables to track and adjust sleep comfort

25 May 2026 at 22:20

Samsung has announced a new feature – WindFree Wearable Good Sleep. It is made for its 2026 Bespoke AI WindFree air conditioners. The aim of this feature is to helps you sleep better by keeping your room at a comfortable temperature automatically.

Usually, people set their air conditioner before going to bed. But the problem is that the temperature you feel comfortable with at night can change later. Sometimes you may feel too hot, and sometimes too cold. Due to this, many people wake up in the middle of the night to change the AC settings.

Samsung’s new feature tries to solve this problem. It connects your air conditioner with your wearable device like a Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring. When you wear it while sleeping, the device can understand when you fall asleep. As soon as you are asleep, it sends a signal to the air conditioner.

After that, the AC turns on a special mode – WindFree Cooling and Good Sleep mode. In this mode, the air conditioner does not stay at one fixed temperature. Instead, it slowly changes and adjusts the cooling during the night. This helps your body stay comfortable while you sleep without any disturbance.

To use this feature, you first need to install the SmartThings app on your Galaxy Watch or Ring. Then you connect your air conditioner to your home Wi-Fi. After setting it up, you can turn on the feature from your phone or watch under sleep settings. You also need to wear your watch or ring while sleeping so it can track your sleep.

Samsung’s new feature makes your AC smart. It watches when you sleep and automatically changes the temperature so you stay comfortable all night. You don’t need to wake up or adjust anything.
