Galaxy S26 getting May 2026 Android 16 security update in Europe, India

Galaxy S26 series users, rejoice; Samsung just pushed the May 2026 security update. It follows the initial debut on the One UI 9 Beta firmware.

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 rollout is underway in full swing. The company provided a stable update to a handful of devices recently. With Beta wrapping up, users of the Fold 5 and Flip 5 are also getting the Stable One UI 8.5 update.

One UI 9 Beta 1 update included the May 2026 security patch for the Galaxy S26 series. Now, the latest rollout is covering users who haven’t joined the Beta Program. The firmware is based on One UI 8.5, built on Android 16.

Software versions:

  • Galaxy S26 – S941BXXS2AZE2
  • Galaxy S26+ – S946BXXS2AZE2
  • Galaxy S26 Ultra – S948BXXS2AZE2

Samsung revealed its May 2026 patch brings fixes to 39 vulnerabilities. The package includes 29 CVE items for Android operating system. The 10 additional SVE items belong to One UI software system on Galaxy devices.

The official May update is live in select European countries, via TarunVats. The rollout is sequential, and not everyone will receive the OTA immediately. If you haven’t gotten it yet, wait for a few hours until the expansion takes place.

  • Update 19/5 – Samsung has now expanded the May 2026 security patch to the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra in India.

Galaxy S26 supports seamless updates functionality. You won’t have to face downtime during the installation of the software. Head toward system Settings, followed by Software update and Download and install.

One UI 9 Beta is available in four countries, including Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US. The company also confirmed that the Beta Program will launch in India and Poland on May 26, bringing Beta 2 right away.
