What Coco Gauff said
Gauff is an interviewerβs dream because she is eloquent and classy. At Stuttgart after her first clay court match of the season, she was asked who she models her clay court game after. She admitted that Rafael Nadal is on her mind when she hits her forehand.
The interviewer called her the βthe right handed Rafa.β Gauff quickly clarified calling herself βthe Walmart version.β The 2025 French Open champion said that she needed to provide context so that she did not get dragged online.

What Elena Rybakina said
Rybakina is often considered aloof, but shy would be a better way of describing her. When asked good questions, she is very engaging and sweet which is what fans saw today in her postmatch interview.
Rybakina won the 2024 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix so she already owns a Porsche. At the time of her victory, she did not have a driverβs license so she could not drive it.
Two years later, Rybakina has her license and admitted that she enjoys driving the car when she is home. She was then asked if she took the Porsche for the driving part of her license test, and she hesitated before admitting that she did.

Because Aryna Sabalenka withdrew, Rybakina is the top seed, and Gauff is the second seed. This means they are on opposite sides of the draw and can only meet if both make it the final at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.
