COLLEGE STATION β€” Arizona State continues to surge, and after its 9-1 win over No. 15 Texas A&M in the College Station Regional in walk-off fashion, fan support poured in online.

The Sun Devils have spent the year building toward moments exactly like this: road environments, ranked opponents and games where execution matters most. That foundation showed immediately as ASU jumped on Texas A&M early, stacking a two-run first inning before a decisive power surge pushed the game out of reach in five innings.

Brooklyn Ulrich’s grand slam served as the decisive blow, but it was the broader approach of patient at-bats, aggressive baserunning and lights-out pitching that reflected an all-around performance.

The win means more than just advancing to the Super Regional in Austin β€” it reinforces that the Sun Devils are not just an accident in the field. They’ve earned their place and have taken out top competition in the process.

In the Big 12 Softball Tournament, Arizona State defeated nationally ranked teams Arizona, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech to win its first Big 12 title. It’s wins like these, and Sunday’s against some of the top competition in the nation, that have solidified ASU as a credible threat.

It has not come through a single star-driven surge, but through consistency β€” winning in different styles, midgame adjustments and refusing to be defined by a seed.

Sunday’s win continued to validate that work, showcasing steady growth from Game 1 of the season.
