Harlan understood that Packers belong to people of Wisconsin | Letter
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Bob Harlan, a leader who resurrected one of Wisconsin's most cherished institutions (βHarlan recalled as influential, visionary,β March 7).
During his time guiding the Green Bay Packers, Harlan understood that the team belongs to the people of Wisconsin, and he worked tirelessly to ensure the organization remained competitive and community-focused.
Harlan's legacy goes far beyond football. He showed what thoughtful leadership, humility and commitment to community can accomplish. Generations of fans β and all of the people who care about the traditions that bring Wisconsin together β are grateful for the example he set.
My thoughts are with his family and with the many people across Wisconsin who respected and admired him.
