Huawei appears to have taken a completely different approach with its “Air” model than Apple: practicality over chasing extreme thinness. The upcoming Mate 70 Air is rumored to pack a much larger battery and a more capable camera system than the recently launched slim phones, including Apple’s iPhone Air. Hands-on photos are already circulating online, and pre-launch reservations are reportedly open in China.

A hands-on image posted on Weibo shows a design somewhat similar to the Mate 70 Pro, with rounded edges and a slightly curved middle frame that should make it more comfortable to hold than phones like the Galaxy S25 Edge. While the display is out of focus in this particular image, a previous leak pointed to a micro-quad-curved glass design — a detail that lines up with what we can see here.

The leaks don’t include exact dimensions yet, but based on the early specs, the Mate 70 Air isn’t likely to compete directly on thinness. Instead, it’s doubling down on battery life — literally. The Mate 70 Air is rumored to ship with a massive 6,500 mAh battery, more than twice the capacity of the iPhone Air (3,149 mAh). Charging speeds are expected to top out at 66W via USB-C.

The camera setup also looks noticeably more advanced than what we’ve seen on other slim-focused phones. According to leaks (and the live photo), the Mate 70 Air will feature a triple-camera system: a 50 MP main, a 13 MP ultrawide, and an 8 MP periscope telephoto. A multispectral sensor is also expected to help deliver more accurate color reproduction in photos and videos.

The Mate 70 Air is tipped to be officially introduced on Thursday, November 6. As with many recent Huawei launches, the phone is expected to remain exclusive to China for now, with no signs of an international rollout.

If these specs hold true, the Mate 70 Air could offer a more balanced take on the “Air” concept — trading ultra-thin design for substantial battery life and camera versatility.

RedMagic’s newest gaming flagship is finally stepping out of China. The RedMagic 11 Pro is now confirmed for a full international launch, complete with global pricing, hardware tweaks, and early-bird preorder details.

Globally, the RedMagic 11 Pro arrives as the brand’s more powerful offering above the RedMagic 10 Air. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with the company’s in-house Red Core R4 chip. For those unfamiliar, this secondary Red Core handles graphics upscaling and frame interpolation in supported games.

RedMagic has made a few regional tweaks, though. The global model features a 7,500 mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 8,000 mAh pack in the Chinese version, paired with 80 W wired charging instead of 120 W. Fortunately, 80 W wireless charging remains intact.

The display consists of a 6.85-inch AMOLED panel with a 2,688 × 1,216 resolution, which supports a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1,800-nit peak brightness. And in true RedMagic fashion, the front camera sits under the display — no punch-hole, no notch, just a full uninterrupted panel. For selfies and video calling, it includes a 16 MP under-panel camera. On the back, it houses a dual 50 MP setup (main + ultrawide).

The global RedMagic 11 Pro still features the company’s new active cooling system, combining liquid cooling, a vapor chamber, and a fan spinning up to 24,000 RPM — all while keeping IPX8 water resistance. That combination remains one of RedMagic’s biggest selling points for sustained gaming performance.

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is still months away, but new leaks are steadily tightening the picture of what the company’s next flagships will look like. The latest clues come from two separate accessories: screen protectors and a protective case. Together, they quietly confirm some of the biggest external design changes Samsung is planning for 2026.

The first leak comes from PhoneArt, who shared what appear to be tempered-glass protectors for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. All three pieces show the same thing: rounded display corners across the lineup. That’s a subtle but notable shift, especially for the Ultra model. On the current Galaxy S25 Ultra, the corners are sharper, giving it a boxier look. With the S26 series, Samsung seems to be pulling everything into a more consistent aesthetic.

The protectors also suggest uniform, extremely thin bezels. Exact measurements aren’t available, so it’s unclear whether these will undercut the S25 series, but the near-symmetrical borders indicate Samsung is at least tightening the visual alignment between the three phones. Any meaningful reduction will only become obvious once real-world comparisons surface.

A second leak offers a closer look at the back of the Ultra model — and this one carries a bigger design twist. A newly surfaced protective case shows the return of a camera island, something Samsung phased out in favor of separate floating lenses on recent models. The case confirms a raised bump housing the three vertically arranged sensors, now ringed with metal accents. Interestingly, the LED flash sits outside the main island, in the same position as the S25 Ultra. Notably, this camera redesign leak isn’t entirely new, but its recurrence certainly adds credibility to it.

Rumors currently point to a late February Unpacked event in San Francisco, expected to center heavily on Samsung’s next wave of Galaxy AI features. With more leaks dropping almost weekly, the S26 series is already shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most visually aligned lineups in years.

DJI’s product calendar has been unusually busy this quarter, and it looks like the company isn’t slowing down. Fresh rumours now point to a confirmed global launch date for its next action camera — and if the specs hold up, it could be DJI’s biggest imaging upgrade yet.

According to a new report from The New Camera, DJI is planning to unveil the Osmo Action 6 on November 19, placing it just days after the China launch of the DJI Neo 2 drone. The source cites an email allegedly sent to YouTuber PhotoRabz by a DJI “brand insider,” outlining a clear November timeline after what was supposedly an earlier October target. No screenshots or documents have been published, so the claim isn’t fully verifiable — but it does line up with DJI’s recent global rollout pattern.

This comes as DJI continues expanding beyond cameras and drones. The company just launched its first Romo-series robot vacuum internationally, and the Osmo Mobile 8 is expected to move beyond China soon. With multiple product lines in motion, a late-November slot for the Osmo Action 6 doesn’t seem far-fetched.

If the leaks are accurate, the Osmo Action 6 could deliver the most meaningful imaging jump since DJI introduced the Osmo Action 4. The new model is expected to feature a 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor — larger than both the Action 4 and the Action 5 Pro (currently $349 on Amazon). Even more interesting is a rumored variable aperture system (f/2.0 to f/4.0), a rare feature in the action cam space, potentially giving users much finer control over exposure in bright outdoor scenes or low-light environments.

Video capabilities may also take a leap, with support for 8K recording at 30 fps, all while keeping the starting price at a competitive $329.

If DJI sticks to its usual playbook, an official teaser should drop soon, confirming whether this round of leaks is on target. For now, all signs suggest the Osmo Action 6 could be a major upgrade — and DJI’s next big launch is just around the corner.

DIY creators often push boundaries with clever hacks and unusual builds, but every now and then someone attempts something that feels almost impossible. A drone that flies without a battery certainly fits that category — yet that’s exactly what a popular DIY engineer has just pulled off.

YouTuber and engineer Luke Maximo Bell has revealed his latest project: a drone powered entirely by solar energy, with no battery, no capacitor, and no backup storage of any kind. The feat comes just days after he and his father Mike Bell attempted to reclaim the Guinness World Record for the fastest drone with their 585 km/h Peregreen 3. This week, Luke shifted gears completely — from extreme speed to extreme efficiency.

To get a battery-free drone in the air, Luke kept the build as light as possible. He used a carbon-fiber frame and propellers, both for strength and to shave unnecessary grams. The star of the build is a long, rigid slat made up of 27 miniature solar panels, wired directly into the drone’s power system. With no storage buffer, every bit of energy needed for lift had to come straight from the sun.

After several adjustments and short test hops, Luke managed to fly the drone around a field. It wasn’t perfect — the drone wobbled whenever a light breeze hit it, and power delivery fluctuated with changes in sunlight — but it flew, powered only by the solar panel array. That alone marks the project as a success.

Looking ahead, Luke says this is just the beginning. He plans to build a more polished version outfitted with additional solar panels, GPS, and autonomous flight software. His ultimate goal: to attempt another Guinness World Record, this time for the longest-flying drone powered purely by the sun.

It may be early days, but the first flight proves the concept works — and hints at what dedicated hobby engineers can achieve with creativity, patience, and a lot of sunlight.
