Graceland Hosts Unforgettable Elvis Birthday Festivities In Memphis

Elvis Presley’s semi-museum home, Graceland in Memphis, is preparing five days from January 7 to January 11, 2026, to continue honoring his legacy with special events for the 2025 birthday tribute celebration. Elvis, the King of Rock’n Roll, is and will continue to be a favorite around the world, born in 1935 and growing up in Tupelo, Mississippi. The birthday events celebrate Elvis’ music and culture, and this year the events seem to be expanding in number and variety. New, and in tribute to Elvis’ legacy, will be offered several concerts, special screenings, and speaking events, and we will also honor his legacy with special tribute events.

New Exhibits and Special Exhibitions at Graceland

Starting on January 7, the birthday celebration will feature the Elvis: The Career Museum and will contain the first look at some of the updates made to the museum. In honor of the 70th anniversary of 1956 and Elvis’ career, we will unveil a special section with some of the most iconic memorabilia and highlights from his career-defining years. 1956 was one of the most important years during the start of his career and fame, with huge performances and his first year with full stardom. Additionally, fans will be able to see some of the museum’s Graceland Archive’s items, which will be showcased in an upcoming film, EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert, by Baz Luhrmann. Elvis Dance Party will be at the Graceland Soundstage in the evening, and will allow the guests to rock to their favorite Elvis oldies.

Elvis Birthday Celebration and Conversations about Elvis

On Elvis’ birthday, January 8, Graceland will once more host and honor Elvis with the Elvis Birthday Proclamation Ceremony on the front lawn for the 2023 Celebration. This is one of the most important annual traditions for Elvis’ many fans, for it provides the opportunity for the Elvis Graceland team and the entire Graceland community to pay tribute to Elvis’s impact on the world of music and culture. When the ceremony is completed, fans of Elvis will be invited to the Graceland Soundstage for Conversations about Elvis, which will once again feature a panel of stars who were Elvis’ close friends and associates. These include Elvis’ dear friend Jerry Schilling, Jerry Scheff, who was the bassist for Elvis’ TCB Band, and The Imperials and The Stamps. This most sought-after panel provides a rare opportunity for fans to learn about Elvis the man and Elvis the superstar. Also, participating in this most celebrated Elvis panel is the editor of the film, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, Jonathan Redmond, who will share his thoughts on Elvis and the film.

To cap off the day, we will be the first in the USA to screen EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert in the brand new TCB Showroom at The Guest House at Graceland. We will allow Elvis to be experienced like never before. The first show, already sold out in Memphis, will be available to those who have purchased tickets. If you don’t have a ticket, don’t worry; we will show the film in IMAX starting February 20 for the Theatrical Release later in the month.

Elvis’ 1956 and Other Special Presentations

To celebrate Elvis’ birthday, fans will have the opportunity to attend an Elvis 101 presentation in the AM titled Dear Elvis an introduction to a new project for the upcoming year. In the evening, Graceland will celebrate the year 1956 with an event titled Elvis 1956. This, in essence, will recreate the year with live music, Elvis’ performances, and a host of narratives to showcase the year that made Elvis a legendary star. This will include Jerry Schilling, the Blackwood Brothers Quartet, with Emilio Santoro to discuss Elvis and his early years.

Learning about Elvis Presley and the City of Memphis

Participants on the Memphis Bus Tours will have the opportunity to visit several Elvis landmarks in Memphis, including the Overton Park Shell and the Memphian Theater, which is now called the Playhouse on the Square. Elvis Presley is Memphis’ most beloved entertainer, and so to honor to him, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra will be performing Terry Mike Jeffrey Elvis: Made in Memphis at the MOSI for the annual Elvis Birthday Pops Concert on the evening of January 10, 2024. This concert pays tribute to the music of Elvis in Memphis, starting with Sun Studio, then going to Stax and American Sound, and finally ending with a recording session at the Jungle Room of Graceland.

Other Events and Concerts

In addition to the events being held to celebrate Elvis’s birthday, Graceland also has many activities planned. These include a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Elvis’s most famous 1976 recording sessions, titled The Jungle Room Sessions, on January 9. A showcase of Elvis’s more flirty rock and roll songs and heartfelt ballads, titled Elvis: Girls! Girls! Girls! will also be held on January 10. The last day of this celebration will be held in the TCB Showroom on January 11 and will feature a special Sunday Morning Gospel Sing with the Blackwood Brothers Quartet.

Performances by Patrick Dunn, who’s won an Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) award, Spencer Sutherland, and Jillian Cardarelli are also scheduled. Tom Brown and Elvis Radio DJ Argo are among the various hosts scheduled to appear during the events.

Tickets and Viewing

Graceland has several different ticket options as well as unique packages that guests can’t buy anywhere else. Fans have the opportunity to buy individual tickets to join in on certain activities at the events. For those unable to join us in all in-person activities, the Elvis Birthday Proclamation Ceremony will be livestreamed from Graceland, so fans around the world can join in on the celebration.
