After weeks of teasers, Vivo has officially announced the launch date for its latest V-series smartphones in India. The Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are scheduled to debut on February 19 at 12 PM local time.

The company claims that both phones will feature some of the narrowest bezels in their price segment, measuring just 1.25 mm. These bezels are extremely slim indeed, even slimmer than those of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Vivo V70 and V70 Elite Specifications

The screen itself is said to measure 6.59 inches on both models. They will also share a 1.5K display with a pixel density of 459 ppi, support for up to a 120 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 5,000 nits, and 1.07 billion colors.

Under the hood, the V70 Elite will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, while the standard V70 will use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The former ran a Geekbench benchmark, scoring 1973 points in single-core and 4863 points in the multi-core test. 

Likewise, both phones are powered by a 6,500mAh cell that supports 90W wired fast charging. The phones carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

On the camera side, the V70 series will include a Zeiss-powered 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and an ultrawide lens. The front camera is a 50-megapixel unit. 

As for the color options, the V70 comes in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow, while the V70 Elite will be offered in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black.

With the launch less than two weeks away, more details about pricing and availability are expected to be revealed closer to the February 19 event.

Xiaomi is moving closer to a more independent software stack with its upcoming HyperOS 4, as new reports suggest the company is gradually removing legacy MIUI-era code and replacing parts of the system with its own architecture.

According to a leak by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi’s next-generation system could replace parts of the underlying framework with a native, self-developed one. 

The company is also expected to integrate its own AI model at the system level. For now, though, native Android services are likely to remain in place to avoid app compatibility issues. 

The shift is not surprising. Xiaomi itself confirmed in January its aim to achieve “grand convergence” in 2026 with a self-developed chip, operating system, and large AI models on a single device. As you might know, Xiaomi’s XRING O1 chip, introduced in 2025, is the first step of this transition. 

Behind the scenes, Xiaomi is already preparing for that transition. Reports from Xiaomitime claim that some system modules in HyperOS 3.1, including the Weather and Photo Album apps, have begun removing MIUI-era SDK components. HyperOS 4, expected to launch in August, could be the first version described as a “zero legacy” release.

Xiaomi is also experimenting with rewriting core system apps using Google’s Flutter framework and the Rust programming language. The company could be moving toward a more modular system architecture, where components can be updated or replaced more easily.

For now, HyperOS 3.1 is said to act as a transitional release. It introduces a native HyperOS SDK while still keeping the older MIUI SDK in place to maintain stability and compatibility.

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is just a few weeks away from its official release. Ahead of it, a new report suggests that most models in the upcoming lineup will launch at higher prices than last year in Europe.

A fresh report from Dealabs claims that every model in the series, including the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra, will see a price hike.

Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus Expected Price

According to the leak, the standard Galaxy S26 with 256GB of storage could start at EUR 999—a jump from the Galaxy S25’s launch price of EUR 959. The increase isn’t dramatic on its own, but it adds to the sense that Samsung’s baseline flagship is slowly inching closer to four-figure pricing across the board.

The Galaxy S26 Plus’ 256GB variant is reportedly priced at EUR 1,269, up from EUR 1,169 last year. Higher storage options could also see increases. The Galaxy S26 with 512GB of storage is tipped to cost EUR 1,199, while the 512GB Galaxy S26+ could reach EUR 1,469.

Galaxy S26 Ultra Expected Price

As for the S26 Ultra, the base 256GB version is expected to stick to the same EUR 1,469 price as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, higher storage variants are said to be more expensive.

The 512GB Ultra could rise to EUR 1,669, while a 1TB version may cost as much as EUR 1,969. The report also claims Samsung may drop the 128GB storage option entirely for the Galaxy S26 and S26+ in Europe.

As for why prices are going up, higher component costs are the most likely explanation. Chips, memory, and other key parts haven’t exactly become cheaper, and Samsung isn’t immune to that pressure. 

That said, Dealabs notes that the extreme price hikes seen in earlier regional leaks, such as those from Bulgaria, are unlikely to apply across the wider Eurozone. Pre-order bonuses and carrier deals could also soften the blow for early buyers.

Samsung’s next flagship chip is starting to show up more often in benchmarks, with numbers that are hard to ignore. The Exynos 2600 has now posted a strong result in Geekbench’s Vulkan GPU test, putting it right next to Qualcomm’s best.

According to the latest Geekbench 6 Vulkan benchmark, the Exynos 2600 scored 27,478 points. That’s surprisingly close to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which scores 27,875 points in the same test. The gap is small enough that, on paper at least, most users wouldn’t notice a difference.

This isn’t the first time the Exynos 2600 came closer to its Snapdragon counterpart. Back in January, the chip scored 25,460 points in Geekbench’s OpenCL test. Again, it had a marginal difference from Qualcomm’s 25,971 points on the same benchmark.

Both OpenCL and Vulkan benchmarks are designed to measure GPU compute performance, but they focus on slightly different things. OpenCL is more about traditional general-purpose parallel computing, which is relevant to tasks like image processing and some AI workloads. 

Vulkan, on the other hand, is a modern, low-overhead API built for high-efficiency graphics and compute tasks. It’s especially relevant for gaming, advanced visuals, and machine learning on mobile devices. Strong Vulkan scores usually hint at better performance in modern games and graphics-heavy apps.

Part of this improvement likely comes down to how the Exynos 2600 is built. It’s Samsung’s first mobile chip made using a 2nm gate-all-around (GAA) process. This approach wraps the transistor gate around the channel on all four sides using vertically stacked nanosheets, which helps improve efficiency and performance while reducing power leakage.

On the graphics side, the chip features the Xclipse 960 GPU based on a custom version of AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture. It’s designed specifically for high-performance gaming.

Samsung is also trying to tackle heat with Fan-Out Wafer-Level Packaging (FOWLP) along with a Thermal Block (HPB) design. By placing a copper heatsink directly in contact with the chip die, Samsung says it has reduced thermal resistance by 16 percent, which should help maintain performance under sustained loads.

Of course, benchmarks don’t tell the whole story. Real-world performance, battery life, and thermals in actual Galaxy S26 phones will matter far more. But these numbers suggest the Exynos 2600 could finally be competitive in a space Qualcomm has dominated for years.

Vivo introduced the X300 series globally in October, with the vanilla and Pro models. The company is currently working on the X300 Ultra as its next big reveal—China first, of course. A new report now suggests that Vivo is also cooking another member of the lineup, called the X300e.

Vivo X300e and X Fold 6 make it to IMEI

The smartphone has appeared on the GSMA IMEI database with the Vivo X300e moniker. Vivo has not used the “e” suffix in the X series so far. Instead, the company introduced the X200 FE last year and the X200T more recently. That said, we expect the X300e to be an affordable flagship option like the X200 FE and X200T.

Also appearing in the IMEI database is the Vivo X Fold 6 foldable. Much like the X300 Ultra, the Fold 6 is expected to launch in China first, followed by a wider global release.

The listings do not reveal any hardware details for either device, but they do confirm that development is underway.

As mentioned earlier, details on both phones remain scarce. However, a leak from November suggests that the Fold 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

The Fold 6 is also expected to feature a 200MP camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

For context, the current Vivo X Fold 5 already offers a high-end setup, including a large 8.03-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Zeiss-tuned triple cameras, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for both wired and wireless fast charging.

For now, Vivo is staying quiet. Still, with both the X300e and X Fold 6 appearing in official databases, it’s clear the company is preparing to expand its flagship and foldable lineup in the coming months.

Samsung is just a few weeks away from hosting the first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026. At the event, the company will announce new Galaxy S26 phones, including the vanilla, Plus, and Ultra models.

After that, Samsung typically waits until late Q3 to unveil its other flagship products. However, early signs of what’s coming next are already surfacing on the web.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series and Watch Ultra 2 confirmed by this global certification

According to Smartprix, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ have appeared in the GSMA IMEI database months ahead of launch.

The models are listed as SM-X946B for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and SM-X846B for the Galaxy Tab S12+. Notably, the database makes no reference to a standard Galaxy Tab S12.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series skipped the Plus model in favor of the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra combo. It’s possible that Samsung is once again tweaking its naming strategy this year by launching only the Plus and Ultra variants. That said, the regular Tab S12 could still show up in the IMEI database at a later date.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 Ultra and Watch 9 also make it to the certification

Tablets aren’t the only Samsung products appearing early. The GSMA database has also added entries for two new smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch 9 with model number SM-L345U, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, listed as SM-L716U.

As usual, IMEI listings don’t reveal specifications or features; however, they do confirm that Samsung’s next-generation products are already moving through the early stages of launch preparation.

If the brand sticks to its usual release patterns, these listings offer a meaningful clue about timing. Historically, there’s often a six- to seven-month gap between a device appearing in the IMEI database and its official announcement.

Based on that timeline, the Galaxy Tab S12 series—along with the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2—are likely candidates for Samsung’s second Galaxy Unpacked event, which typically takes place in August or September.

Casio has quietly expanded its Edifice lineup with two new analog watches, called the Edifice EFB-109D-5AV and EFB-109D-3AV. Even though they’re part of the company’s motosport-inspired line, the new EFB-109D watches lean more toward everyday wear than outright motorsport theatrics.

As a result, these watches stand out less for complications and more for proportion. The EFB-109D series uses a compact stainless-steel case measuring 43.5 × 38.5 × 9.2 mm, with a noticeably slimmer profile than many modern sports watches. 

Both models feature a gradated dial design, a simple three-hand analog layout, applied hour markers, and a clean overall look that nods to 1970s sports watches. The bezel is mirror-finished, while the case itself uses a hairline finish, giving the watch a mix of polish and restraint.

Under the hood, you don’t get anything flashy, and that’s very much the point. The EFB-109D runs on a quartz movement (Module 5340) powered by an SR920SW battery. 

It is rated for around three years of use with an accuracy of ±20 seconds per month. Casio has also included a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a screw-lock case back, features that are often skipped in more affordable models.

The solid stainless-steel bracelet uses a one-touch three-fold clasp and supports wrist sizes from 150 to 205 mm. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters, which covers everyday use and surface swimming without issue.

While these new Edifice models skip the chronograph and tachymeter elements found in other Edifice watches, they focus instead on simplicity, slimness, and materials. 

The company has not announced pricing and availability details yet.
