New Caledonia (France) Q1 2026: Suzuki and Dacia Duster dominate

Suzuki holds 10.6% of the New Caledonian new car market over Q1.

Q1 volumes in New Caledonia, a French overseas territory located northeast of Australia, gain 44.8% year-on-year to 1,053 units, due to particularly low year-ago results. Suzuki (+115.4%) more than doubles its sales year-on-year to reach 10.6% share, toppling Toyota (+36.4%). Hyundai (+43.7%) matches the market while Dacia (+116.3%) shoots up to 8.8% share. Isuzu (+388.9%), BYD (+311.1%) and Fiat (+310%) post surreal gains below.

Model-wise, the Dacia Duster (+133.3%) dominates the charts with 6.6% share, distancing the Hyundai Tucson (+175%) and Suzuki Swift (+193.8%). The Isuzu D-Max (+485.7%) and Fiat Panda (+3500%) round out the Top 5. Notice also the BAIC X35 at #11, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross at #12 and the BYD Shark 6 at #23.

Serbia March 2026: Skoda Octavia leads, BYD Seal cracks Top 10

The BYD Seal manages its first ever Serbian Top 10 finish in March.

Based on data shared with us by our Central European partner CE Auto, the Serbian new car market is up 27.2% year-on-year in March to 3,868 units. This brings the year-to-date tally up 16.3% to 8,093. The Skoda Octavia (+74.4%) surges ahead to dominate the models ranking at 6.1% share vs. 5.3% year-to-date. The Toyota Corolla (+23.4%) is up three spots on last month to #2, distancing the Skoda Kamiq (+10.9%) and Toyota Yaris Cross. The Dacia Duster (+38.1%) is back inside the Top 10 at #5 while the BYD Seal lodges its first ever Top 10 finish at #7 and the Fiat Grande Panda scores its second one at #9.
