Samsung moves forward with One UI 8.5 development for latest foldables

Samsung is working on One UI 8.5, the next major software update for its Galaxy devices. Now, the company has started testing One UI 8.5 on Samsung’s latest foldable phones.

According to tipster @TarunVats, the first internal builds of One UI 8.5 have appeared for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. This shows that Samsung is making steady progress in developing the update.

The first One UI 8.5 internal testing builds for these devices are

  • Galaxy Z Fold 7 – F966BXXU6BYK7
  • Galaxy Flip 7 – F766BXXU6BYK7

The update aims to make Galaxy devices faster, easier to use, and more enjoyable overall.

Samsung is expected to launch One UI 8.5 alongside the Galaxy S26 series next year. The new flagship phones will come with the update pre-installed, and after that, it will gradually roll out to other devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
