WrestleMania 42 Night 2 results, full list of winners

WWE WrestleMania 42 is in the books, after an action-packed weekend at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. On Sunday night, Night 2 took place with four championships on the line.

In the main event, Roman Reigns pinned CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after 33 minutes and 57 seconds.

Throughout the night, three titles changed hands.

The lone champion to defend their title was WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta, who defeated Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Rusev, and Rey Mysterio in a six-pack ladder match.

Brock Lesnar retires in emotional WrestleMania 42 moment

Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 started with a bang thanks to a highly anticipated match between former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and former two-time NXT Champion Oba Femi.

In a stunning moment to begin the show, Femi was able to get a clean pin on Lesnar to secure the win in his WrestleMania debut.

After the match, Lesnar had an emotional moment in the ring as he announced his retirement from pro wrestling. Leading up to WrestleMania, there had been speculation that it would be Lesnar’s final match.

Lesnar left his shoes and gloves in the ring before sharing a hug with longtime manager Paul Heyman and walking out with a thunderous applause from the crowd.

Lesnar originally signed with WWE in 2000, before leaving the promotion in 2004. He returned from 2012 to 2020, before a brief retirement. He then returned once again in 2021.

Lesnar is the only person to have won the primary heavyweight championships in WWE, the UFC, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, the Inoki Genome Federational, and NCAA wrestling.

Pat McAfee confirms WWE ‘departure’ after leaving WrestleMania 42 on stretcher

Pat McAfee entered Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 with a match stipulation vowing that he would leave WWE if Randy Orton were to lose to Cody Rhodes in the main event match for the WWE Championship.

Despite his best efforts to help McAfee, Orton lost to Rhodes, and the brash commentator will no longer appear with the company.

McAfee seemed to confirm his departure from WWE on social media Sunday with a post from his hotel room.

“First morning since 2017 babe is completely out of the wrestling business, thanks to [Jelly Roll],” McAfee wrote on Instagram.

McAfee left WrestleMania 42 on Saturday night on a stretcher, after being put through a table by Grammy-winning recording artist Jelly Roll.

Later in the match, McAfee returned to the ring in a neck brace and referee shirt, but was hit with an RKO by Orton, before Rhodes finished the match with his signature Cross Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
